I believe they already did cash in. Good for them.
BioWare is getting flack because they blatantly lied about nearly everything in the pre-release campaign for the game. That is a big deal, and people have the right to complain.
Nobody has a right to dictate a developer's vision, but they certainly have a right to complain when they did not receive something that was promised.
Mass Effect is a unique game because BioWare put the players in the driver seat. They realized what they created was wonderful and...
And it's a crap ton better than what Call of Duty has done in its past few iterations (as a matter of fact, battlefield has always been a little more sophisticated in its loadout style). Give 343 a chance to prove their point.
As for the ViDoc, I only have good things to say:
- Sprint is in, which is good because while previous Halo's felt great, it was pretty tedious to wander everywhere.
- NO BLOOM.
- Visuals are an...
you raise a valid point, but halo has never even looked that good in-engine... either way this means a solid improvement.
Honestly, I think the only thing that needs minor improvement in this game is combat. Other than that, I found it far more compelling than a game like Max Payne. I love both, but the story and atmosphere in Alan Wake is a step up for Remedy IMO.
I have a buddy that really liked it as well and we are dying for it to see a sequel to know what happens next.
Not enough gamers gave it a chance. I bought it off of pure recommendation and could not have been more pl...
don't like switching discs. too lazy :P. plus a save on PS3 that I would have been satisfied with.
Yeah, I switched my preorder after playing it. BioWare's better for this kind of thing and I'm sure they'll iron it out, but I've been burned a few times by this kind of thing and I'm not going to place my trust anywhere. Plus I've got progress from ME1 and 2 on my Xbox, so for me at least it's a no brainer.
The boss. Nuff said.
I played both and they look virtually identical. The issue I'm having that few have brought up is that the frame rate on PS3 is really bad in comparison.
Like not end of the world bad, but definitely disappointing. Hopefully there's some optimization they did before going gold.
The lengths to which people go to make more money off of something is absurd. If I were a console manufacturer, I would charge for royalties that existed prior to online taking off, and nothing else. That model worked for years and most aspects I know of seemed relatively fair.
I never understood why the patch certification process takes so damn long either. In the years console games have been receiving patches, I have never once heard of one that was actually rejected by ce...
win article is win
You pay tax when you BUY the points. What do you mean you don't pay tax?! The points system is garbage and is designed to get you to buy more than you need so you can buy other stuff you don't need.
If anything, it would help it. Most reservations people have about the Wii U is that a year or so from now it could be derailed by drastically more impressive tech. If the launch window is similar, then those worries no longer exist. Just a different viewpoint I was looking to offer.
It's possible. I think a modified card from that series is about the max of what you could expect to see given a 2012-2013 launch window.
That's like the absolute max, and they'd have to take a hit on it for the first years, which I'm pretty sure MS is not in favour of anymore.
I expect it to be more powerful than the Wii U, but it seems likely most next generation systems will fall between the Wii U's GPU and the HD7000 series. Otherwise they will be way too expensive.
I'm pretty hardcore and usually buy consoles straight away, but $499 in general is pretty steep (don't...
that we could see some more prominent differences in terms of horsepower between the next consoles. Then again, being significantly weaker or significantly stronger has never been much of an asset in the past.
While it seems wholly possible that this rumour could come to fruition, it also seems equally unlikely because MS (and everyone else) wants to hit both casual and hardcore markets. The only way to do that is to have a modest, but fair price. Whether this means one SKU o...
and the answer will follow. Unfortunately everybody has a different definition of superior, so neither is universally superior to the other.
Nintendo is like honey badger and never gave a shit in the first place.
I wish he had just admitted it was all BS though. Would have been way funnier and an even better comeback IMO.
This comment is kind of harshly written, but I oddly found myself agreeing almost completely. If these guys really had an awesome idea and plan, I would like to think they would find a single publisher that would back them.
I understand publishers are too mainstream (lololol), but if that's the case you should be going full indie. This whole kickstarter thing is interesting, but it will only take one person not fulfilling their promise to bring the whole thing crashing do...
