I have to disagree. The image they showed spoke volumes to the average household. Often there are several people in a room dicking around on their phones. I'm not exactly against that, but I can appreciate what they are trying to do here, a lot.
If I'm correct, Hot Pursuit and probably a handful of other games have done this to some extent. I'm looking forward to something that finally gets it "right." Hopefully it is an OS feature, because if it's developer optional, we all know it means the majority of them will opt-out and ruin it. In game music on PS3 is an example of this.
It speaks pretty true to Nintendo. They have always been about gaming together (mostly on the couch). It would only make sense that their interface would represent it. It's unconventional, but it seems likely that it will be a very ad-free home screen (looks at my xbox in disgust).
I like the camera when you're swinging, but the controls looked sketchy. Guy was screwing up almost every button push, colliding into things, sticking by accident, etc. hopefully he just sucked because that could kill the game.
The big developers (even those not working on projects for Wii U) have said that it's virtually a supercharged 360. So, I'm sorry, but this is complete crap. It's possible it's still not as "easy" as the 360, but Nintendo worked closely with third parties to make everyone as happy as possible. There is just no way there is any truth to this.
We already know the architecture of the system for the most part, just not specifics. Modern quad core IBM CPU...
kinect dance halo remix. my eyes. oh good lord my eyes and ears!
It's possible it was the fault of direction, but either way, PoP was the one Nolan North performance I found to be extremely uninspired.
I hate you! But, well played.
BioWare has had a few too many consecutive misses as of late. It's hard to blame it on exactly one thing, but they need to find out what that is and correct it quick. They've always had a lot of talent and to just lay a bunch off is only going to make things worse.
I think we'll see as great a machine as possible with a $300 price tag from them, which is all anyone should really expect. You'll still get a great bump from what we have now, especially when you see what developers do with dedicated gaming hardware. I haven't used my PS3 for a while, but last of us will probably crush in the graphics department. For a console, you really don't need a ton more than that, but you'll get it anyway. you just won't get the latest.

Epic's dreaming. I respect that, but what they are talking about is at least GTX 690 level and that card is 1000 bucks right now. As much as I like the latest toys, I'm thinking the 3 will try and sell their systems for 300 bucks. 399 was even too much in the US, and in Canada I paid 499. Pretty outrageous after tax. Aussies always get screwed so I'm scared to look at what they paid.
I really don't think any of them will ever sell at a loss again either. Maybe...
it's a hit at all of them, otherwise he would have called it out directly. these guys know roughly what's going into the next systems.
They drive me nuts. If you're not already in the game with an established franchise, then you shouldn't be making one in my opinion. Yes, I'm still disappointed they did swtor instead of kotor 3. Yes, that has a lot to do with why I think this way.
because then they can sue him for breaching contract. he needs to find a way to make them hate him without breaking any rules.
For example, he could create videos that barely meet the requirements of his contract, and purposefully tank the channel.
It clearly states at the bottom of page 3 that the contract is perpetual and has no end date.
Then again, it's still possible for him to get out of it. He just needs to find a way to convince them to terminate his contract without breaking any of the clauses.
Just find a way to repeatedly piss them off in a way that isn't against anything you signed and they'll likely ditch you.
Anything Origin does better will be quickly countered on Steam. Valve is respectable, EA is not. I choose Steam.
This just seems to completely unravel anything I liked. Normally, I was rating the more modern era of the games like this:
1. CoD4
2. MW2 (Multi) / BO (Single)
3. WaW
4. MW3
I thought even though the story in BO wasn't original, it was pretty well executed and the historical fiction aspect was great.
But, now they've taken a turn off a cliff into weird land and appear to have completely lost sight of what the s...
Calling it!
The article says they are first playing around with L4D2 because they consider it to be a very solid code base to start from. If it does come to fruition, you can expect all of Valve's major releases to come. Convincing other big game companies will be super difficult though... maybe even impossible unless their Linux client makes a big splash.
DirectX is preferable to most developers, but you'll notice that all graphics cards nowadays support DX11 and OpenGL 4.2. The...
I feel this is a target they have to try to hit.
