It's because Sony doesn't do anything right. Well, that's not fair. They do, but it always feels half-baked: Move, the PS3 OS, the PSN, and those are big things to half-ass. Honestly I think the only thing they've taken on full force is 3D, and for better or worse, I commend them for pushing it when nobody else will. Blu-ray was a good call as well.
Let me tell you, when I look at a Wii and a 360, I see video game consoles. When I look at my PS3, I see a blu-r...
You're stupid and don't even know what the Wii U is apparently. The only loser here is you because you like to shallow your mind to a single console manufacturer.
All the booth stuff is PC, so where's my PS3 gameplay? I don't even have a 360, I'm just saying, if you see a statement like that and you don't see footage from the other console either, a lot of people jump to dumb conclusions.
If you can show me where you saw this, I will retract my statement, but I have heard no such thing so far. I AM using common sense, are you?
I made the mistake of being a one console guy this generation. I grew up on Nintendo, was introduced to hardcore on Xbox/360, and now I just have a PS3.
I will not make the same mistake again.
I'm not sure when, but I WILL get a Wii U and probably one of the other two new consoles, depending on which strikes my fancy as a player. How can I look at that Zelda HD demo and say, "No, thanks"? Regardless of its third party support, I will be picking ...
The PS3 doesn't have a hardware upscaler either, it leaves it to your television set. The 360 is the only current gen console with a hardware upscaler, that's why you see that every time you boot a game it runs 1080p, where PS3 games generally run 720p, as indicated by your TV. If your Wii U outputs a 480p resolution via HDMI, your TV will upscale it to it's native resolution, be it 720p or 1080p.
I think what Reggie is saying is that the hardware will not include...
360 is not "last gen," but its disc format sure is. I agree with VampiricDragon.
I can guarantee you that. Having it demoed on PS3 would have been megaton, so you can bet DICE is just lost in the woods right now. There's three months (not including September) before the beta launches and they can't show any console footage? I'm becoming skeptical, but I hope I'm wrong. Maybe they should just make it console exclusive to Wii U :P.
I haven't quite formulated an opinion on who I think "won" E3 out of the big 3, but Sony hardly "rocked" their conference. The Move stuff was extremely poor, and they only showed a live demo of U3, if I'm not mistaken.
A LOT of people were hoping for more from them. I for one would have liked their PSN apology to be complemented with actual new PSN features. I guess nobody else noticed we got no new firmware (that actually did anything) again? When...
Like groups and stat tracking, if what I've heard is correct. I don't really see what use paying for the "extra" features could be, but the level of social interactivity they're going for is commendable. Basically GameBattles crossed with Steam Groups. It's not new, but having it so easily accessible to everyone could prove to be highly successful for competitive gaming (on Call of Duty).
I like the idea of it, because it turns it into a "sports...
Speaking honestly, I was bored with all the "big 3." Kevin Butler was win, and it definitely had some bright spots, but Sorcery? Come on. I'm not a Twisted Metal guy in the slightest either.
Like I'm trying to say, I think they probably did the "best" last year (Kinect was unbearable), but I expect more from ALL of them for such a big show. I feel like I haven't seen a good E3 in years.
Like, I haven't seen anything where I...
But their conference always somehow bores me to death. I say if they spend more than half their stage time talking on it, they've lost my interest. I understand a lot of people are into it, but most people want to see other things and as long as they remember that, I think it will turn out well.
I've been waiting for them to overhaul the PS3's OS for years because it takes up WAY too much RAM for something that does so damn little. It's really a win-win for ev...
Now, I'm not going to go all out and believe this statement, but the IW CoD games have always been relatively equal to be fair, and that's a fact. Black Ops so far was the only massive exception and was a complete mess for PS3 users. If you treat it on a game by game basis, you have to be at least be interested in how this turns out. With BF3 gunning for it, it will be interesting to see what Activision has planned.
One thing I do not agree with is a bunch of people c...
Everyone wants it back up and running obviously, but if it isn't up to snuff it shouldn't be.
well I guess they might bring it back after all... my bad. but seriously this update was not new information and that's all I was trying to say. to the fellow asking about needing the same console, you just need a console that has the account activated (so likely the one you have right now). A console is activated if a store purchase has been made on it.
This information is old. You can wish all you want, but this is not new and it probably won't be back until next week.
If it did return tomorrow I would eat my words, but this information has been known for weeks and it's probably just another "filler" update as we get closer.
All this post is is a rehash of information we already know. I guess they got tired of updating about the idea of updating about the return of the service. I say to expect it next weekend at the very earliest. If it's sooner we'd be lucky, but don't be fooled, this is still not an update.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it turned out awesome. I would also not be surprised if it did suck. I mean, BF3 will obviously take the cake in at least several areas, but still. Activision doesn't roll over.
anyone not found on this website doesn't care about exclusive games enough to determine their choice of console.
who honestly prioritizes exclusives and can wholeheartedly call themself a gamer? third party support is most important, and that's undeniable. exclusives are more like icing on the cake.
look at the wii. great first party titles when they come around, but the real reason nobody likes it that much is because its third party support is laugh...
If you look at the visual differences between titles like KZ2 and KZ3, and UC2 and UC3, you can see while it's more refined, it certainly isn't the jump that their predecessors achieved. We're going to need new consoles within the next couple of years. I'm ready.
I think a new generation doesn't start when current ones are completely tapped out, but when you see that one game that makes you feel like it's next gen. I feel like BF3 is that title, and I ...
