@ BadCircuit :
Which is a sad, but true fact, sadly many younger or newer gamers miss out on a great deal of content simply because they are either too lazy, get bored too easily, or simply do not have the paintence to go through something a few times.
Nothing is learnt instantly, it comes from repetition and examination.
It's why so many new games get returned or exchanged within the first 24-48 hours of release. The retention rate for ...
Well if it's listed with an Aussie distributor, then any store can order them in, if they are willing to do so. It costs them nothing really to get the goods to their store, as the distributor pays for delivery.
So go for it, ask your local game stores, see what they say. I'm going to ask mine.
A pleasant change from the 'norm' - and refreshing to see father-son working on a game they share, yet with such broad age differences. It shows the differences they have while experiencing the 'same' thing as it happens.
The game looks interesting enough, shame itr wasn't readily available in Australia, and needs to be imported I believe?
ten points mate, well said heheheh
Agree with you 110% there re 'entitlement mentality' of gamers these days.
They get some of the best technologically advanced games, brilliant gameplay, great packaging, lengths of games, new innovative ideas - what do they do, complain it 'wasn't enough', or why was it so long coming (a year later)
Days-gone-by gamers had to wait months between game releases, these days you can have upwards of 30 - 40 game release per month on a variety o...
Good editions, especially those that are in fact numbered limited editions are certainly worth the effort to nab, even more so by collectors who can see the value in them as actual collectibles.
This looks to be one of those such items. While the game its self is not up my alley, it would certainly have its place in my collection if I could nab one.
I think he's bring up a legitiment argument, with regards to not getting what others do, but not so with regards to costs etc.
It's been shown, that both Europeans, and those in A|the Asia Pacific region (ie Asia - Australia New Zealand) buy far more collectable items across all manner of products than those of the Nth American counterparts.
When dealing in tens of millions of dollars in just promotional and PR funds, which is what the PR firms do for...
Agree, that was one of the greatest parts of it, and if we could get more layers or items per maps, then the possibilities of greater visual masterpieces abound.
Great game, those that disliked it probably prefered the relentless run-n-gun styles of gameplay. Which are fine, but you won't find that in a place like Africa (last outing) and hopefully, the gameplay will be balanced this time out.
SOme of the 1st0gen Xbox Limited Editions were actually Limited runs. Like the Kasumi Blue and the White one for example. There were only 2 production runs of a few thousand each, and each was numbered.
The only way you could get one was pre-ordering it, before the days of pre-ordering btw, and they looked great, sold out fast as hotcakes.
In fact, there's a whole list of special cases for games that are "Official" 1st-Gen Xboxs.
errrrumm, the Kinectis NOT a console or a stand-alone platform. The 360's have the headsets for use with normal games which it can play.
When you get the Kinect, it's added to the 360. If you get the Kinect bundle, then again, the headsets are for the bulk of the games that are designed for gamers playing MP games, not for the use withnkinect.
ANyone would understand that, well, almost anyone. It's like many electronic devices these days that incl...
That box is the controller boxing, the actual XBox console boxing is slightly different,
Great idea, finally, as these things sell consoles. They sold far more consoles in the 1st gen xbox times, especiallytowards the end when several styles came out.
I've played about 7 diff Kinect games, from the fighting one from Ubi, to fitness, and simple fun one, for us, there's been no real lag to speak of actually, and in fact, where my friend has it set it, it's not an ideal situation, yet it works fine, even without the 'correct' room set up or situation.
In fact, her sister, who is totally non-technical and has zero paitence, finds the games - mainlythe fitness ones, extremely easy to play and work with.
@ Rhythmattic
Well said mate, and yes, agree, and also re Move, but I do see they are after a different market moreso now than before, as their internal studies have shown gamers are taking up the Move on established titles less now than before, same with the 3D ability.
I do agree that Kinect 'could' fashion themselves into some mainstream gammes, but I feel in order to get those sales up, establish a rather decent foothold, garner publisher support...
They could also not allow imports restricting hardware from overseas which many do these days to ensure local markets are not affected.
It's outrageous for sure to have a price like that, but, it is Sony after all, Bot Nintendo and Sony do have a rather high regard for their products, and tend to charge for that.
Well considering they have sold far better than MS expected, I think they are definitely onto something.
It might not appeal to the 'cough-gamers' out there, but the 10 plus million sold, selling 8 mil in just 2 months, making it into the Guinness Book Of records as the fastest selling accessory, must have something going for it for the 'average family users' - who by the way, are the ones buying the unit, NOT hardcore gamers.
It's not aim...
These are great to play with, exhausting, but great fun.
I don't know why so many ppl, mostly so-called gamers, are against these things. They get the 'family' together, and also encourage you to get off your big fat tush . . .
Having played with a Kinect, I can say they ARE heaps of fun, and this title should make it even more entertaining.
I'm NOT expecting to play CoD or Modern Warfare with Kinect, but it's not design...
I love Far Cry actually, and if the new one is anything like the last, then it should be great.
Not all publishers have to come out with mind-bogglinglyu great stuff with every announcement.
Sometimes it's the refinment of a series that's more important, remembering that many of these titles have been 'in-the-works' for several years, and they take time.
Plus a development studio can only devote so much time to their titles wi...
SOmetimes genres need to be bent, combined, changed.
One thing the gaming fraternity, ie; newer gamers, need to understand, games have 'evolved since the dawn of creation. Changing styles, bending their genres, in order to survive in a extremely competitive and cutthroat environment.
If you don't, you go under, the game doesn't sell, and you can kiss tens of millions of $$'s good bye forever.
They are making a break, it's...
You ever tried running along doing the stuff she is, I think you'd be doing a lot more than the moaning she's doing lol.
Correct, and it's basically down to budget and the right PR company dealing with the game.
The game can be great, yet in the hands of a company without the expertise, it will tank. These days you need several million to put up a decent PR campaign for any game. Most cost upwards of 10 - 15 mil for PR alone, not incl the production costs of the game.
It's also why many games simply slip right by the media in general, and get their exposure through bein...
