The sad part is its almost technically identical to the iphone 3G (it is basically an overclocked iphone), minus the fact that it doesn't have a camera nor can it function like a fun other than accessing the 3g network. It's sad, really. If anyone has bought this, its because its an apple product, not because its a worthwhile purchase.

Apparently there is a better alternative coming, although no word on pricing: http://www.pricecanada.com/...

Yeah, those are just MSRPs, they aren't in stock til next week, so prices can/will change.

I agree with this article that the 5870 is a better choice, however some of their info is inaccurate. You can get a 5870 at newegg for 400, and I imagine you might be able to find it even cheaper elsewhere. As for the GTX 480, it isn't even out yet and 499 is just the MSRP. Who knows what the price will be until it actually comes out, could be cheaper, could be more expensive. Also, we don't know how AMD will approach it, they may lower prices (but I've read that it is unlikely).

I bet this game is better than that sh1tbucket he compared to Heavy Rain.

The writer is a moron, he thinks that this firmware update screws over those interested in building a cluster (in other words, those who haven't yet bought PS3s for this purpose), yet the feature has been gone since the introduction of the slim. It isn't like they are building any more fat PS3s so really they should be blaming the Slim (and there are probably a multitude of other reasons for removing the feature from the Slim).

The guy is just stirring the pot to gain hits.

Sheperd hit the nail on the head. While I still think it is deceptive to use a 2nd layer like MS does, the worst part is that you can't spend the exact amount required. We wouldn't accept this kind of behavior in any kind of retail outlet, so why is it acceptable here? In the beginning Sony was doing the same thing, while there was no 2nd layer, you had add amounts to your wallet in 2,5, and 10 dollar denominations. Thankfully they changed it to the system we use now.

Metro 2033 is a pretty cool game, on PC. Wouldn't touch it on 360 though, the visuals just aren't there on the console version, and half my interest in the game is its atmosphere and environments.

The funniest part is how you're a blatant 360 fanboy who follows this procedure:

"[Insert PS3 Exclusive here] is the most [choose one: sh1tty/glitchy/overrated] game ever created!"

Please go to the open zone and be butt-hurt over there.

By PeerGuardian you meant PeerBlock, which made the original software obselete. PG is no longer being updated, and PB is basically identical and is updated constantly. Pretty sure the developers are originally from Peer Guardian.

And no, PeerGuardian/PeerBlock do *not* slow down your downloads. Whoever said this has no idea what they're talking about. If anything, it speeds up as you are refusing connections with other IPs that are on the block list, and that consequently frees b...

This excuse is bullshit. The only reason MS would prefer to have applications over a general browser is because the developers of these applications pay MS to have their apps on the 360. In the end, it's all about money once again.

You really think he's the only one trying to crack the PS3? That's a pretty naive thought. People can disagree with me all they like, but its hypocritical.

I think he's an idiot, making so much noise and drawing attention to himself. But I'm not so blind that I'll only blame him.

Blame the hacker? What is with this hypocritical opinion I've been seeing spreading around N4G?

How many people were pissed off at Ubisoft for their sh1tty DRM? Anger was targeted against Ubisoft for their action. Nobody came out and blamed the pirates that download games. Nor did anyone blame those responsible for the cracks. There have been countless articles about sh1tty DRM and the majority of the comments blame the publisher/developer. How is this business with Sony and Geo...
