I respect the direction he's taken Valve and Steam, and I respect those that do the work under him a lot more. But that doesn't change the fact that he says uninformed things. These are the kinds of articles I like. Getting valid information out there without slagging the opposing console. None of that "how will console X slaughter console Y" bullshit.
I hope we get a better idea of whats to come after the major upcoming titles hit. I guess this way they aren't taking attention away from those titles.

Except Sony's demos were all done live. They all actually worked, were accurate and no noticeable lag.. Yeah, that's hypocrisy alright.. /sarcasm.

Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell and Metro 2033 are all on PC. FFIV is also on PC.
Also, I think the other guy was going for all the exclusives that come out in 2010 march and earlier, not just march.
No they are actually talking about FFIV, which, is also not an exclusive as its on PC. The beta starts soon I believe.
This is a German site, Demon's Souls isn't out in Europe.
And yeah, 3 of those "exclusives" for xbox are on PC.
All in all, this year is shaping up great and I'll enjoy exclusives for all 3 platforms. Looking forward to having a lighter wallet.

Modnation Racers, Yakuza 3 and Star Ocean 4 are hardly shovelware. Your Sniper game sounds like shovelware to me. Never even heard of it before.

Not happening. WirelessHD, maybe, that would be useful. But higher resolutions? No, they'll either stick with 720p or move to 1080p, and support all the TV's that exist today and will exist in the future. And HVD? I don't think so either. I think they'll go with dual layer blu-rays since most of the releases are single layer.

BC2 will easily trounce MW2 in terms of quality. MW2 was super hyped, far more than it deserved. The campaign was incredibly short and it's story was derivative militaristic crap. The MP is hacked to hell, the PC version was dumbed down to make more money, and the game's balance was ruined thanks to killstreaks galore. And graphically? Please, all they did was add texture streaming.

Please, piracy is hardly the reason. Not to mention any piracy statistics you look at are severely exaggerated. And frankly, MW2 had it coming after the bullshit they pulled on the PC platform. Make idiotic moves like that and of course people are going to go nuts and pirate it. However, it still sold a ridiculous amount on Steam during a massive sale, even though they were still charging a premium of 60$ for each copy.

I would agree that there hasn't been much innovation. A lot of the features you mentioned already existed on PC, they basically made simplified versions of them. Which is perfectly fine and it was the right decision, but its by no means new (save for maybe matchmaking). Although, I recall matchmaking on Halo 3 being very frustrating. But I played the majority of MP games on PC with server listings and stuff like that, I prefer more complicated but more flexible systems like that. For the cons...
