MS only gets money for PC games if developers choose to use games for windows live. There is no licensing fee like on the consoles, you don't have to get any kind of permission from them to make or sell games playable on windows. Instead, money goes towards people who distribute the games (Steam, D2D, GOG, etc).
Oh wow, 2/10 from IGN.. I know a lot of people don't agree with IGN's scores but at least they are semi accurate..

Looks like Jim Sterling just loves to hate on Heavy Rain.
Well when I read that statement of GoW3 vs ME2 for GOTY is like Uncharted 2 vs MW2 for GOTY, I kind of interpreted that as "no contest".
MW2 really didn't stand a chance..
You're using something Greenberg says as proof? Greenberg is about as reliable as a launch 360..
There's a reason millions of people like twilight, most of them are morons.
Sounds a lot like MW2, actually.
I mean since when does popularity make a game great?
You're comparing sales between the super casual fad Wii to a real console? What a stupid comparison, you might as well be saying "why can't the 360 do that?" as well. You basically killed your own argument..
At any rate, if we go buy VGChartz numbers (I honestly don't care if you don't trust the numbers, they are accurate enough for our purposes), we get PS3 selling roughly 10 million a year (32.4 million sold total over 3.25 years) vs the 360 selling roughly 9 million ...
What minigames are we missing out on? You can apparently still go on dates..
I agree, and I think Uncharted did a good job of advancing it a little further. I'm not saying they should stop there though, I'd like to see further advancement.
And yes, AI is in definite need of revision, it is pretty sad what passes as AI nowadays..
He never says FPS at all, he's talking about third person cover shooters..
I can understand what he's saying, but I think Uncharted 2 was a step in the right direction. They added a few more elements to the fighting that makes it interesting (stealth killing and climbing). Would be nice to see more features like this in cover shooters.
Crossing my fingers ><
I've been watching replays though, you can download the beta and patch it so you can at least watch people play and check out the new units and abilities.
Probably because n4g added a lot of traffic they aren't used to. I can't even get the video to load at all.
There is no release for Final Fantasy XIII by any release group currently, so its probably a legal copy.

Hi I'm icewake, and I'm going to pick the best halo reach screenshot I can find, and the worst GOW3 screenshot I can find. It's proof that Reach graphics > GoW3 graphics!!!!
Seriously, this is your argument?
WTF? Crysis 2? Do they really think that's coming out in march?
You haven't played an RPG before if you think Mass Effect 2 is an RPG. Mass Effect 1 was an RPG, and then instead of fixing what was wrong with the game they canned all those features and made ME2 a shooter.
So what games makes the DS the king of RPGs? The only ones I've played were remakes (chrono trigger and FF4). The list you have can't be all of it, seems pretty weak compared to what the PS2 was for RPGs.
FFX was also a crappy game compared to the earlier ones.
I don't think gamers are complaining about the linear story.. gamers are complaining that the level design is almost literally a straight line for a large portion of the game. To me that sounds pretty boring, I'd prefer to have a least a little bit of side tracking. Here is what I'm talking about:

SE is to...
I wouldn't either, but this 3.5 years thing is pretty unrealistic.. they were essentially making 2 engines, the PS3 engine and the 360 engine. Now they have a working engine, the gameplay and story already exists.. they could do it in a year and a half easily.
You know what I'd like to see? Custom button mapping, so even if the game doesn't support the control scheme you want, you can just change it in the XMB.
Hah, it takes a real retard to argue FOR a point system.
God, how stupid can people be, waiting for a cheaper, more compact system? /sarcasm.
