Yep, if anyone was expecting a leap in visuals they were kidding themselves. Their engine needs a major overhaul for something like that, and I doubt Obsidian is going to do that for Bethesda. Hopefully that is exactly what Bethesda is working on right now :D
Also buying this day 1. Actually, on 2nd thought I might wait for another GOTY edition, it's nice having all the DLC and the original content on a single disc. By then a lot of issues should be patched as well, although sinc...
It's more like "5 iPad complaints that are true, and I'm going to exaggerate and twist them so I can prove them false".
1. It is a bigger iPod Touch/iPhone. The hardware is identical plus a couple peripheral features, same CPU and everything, just clocked faster! Oh and lets not forget the ports on the iPad require adaptors (which cost 29USD) in order to use USB or SD cards.
2. People aren't saying Flash is impossible on the iPad. Flash doesn't exist on App...
So because a COMMUNITY MANAGER said so, without any actual proof, that's case closed? C'mon... the guy who checked this out was right about a ton of other games, I think I would go with his word (and proof) over a community manager's. But we'll see when the game is released.
Sorry but it will take a lot more than a Community Manager saying the game runs in 720p to prove its fake.
I seriously doubt the resolution has anything to do with being restricted to DVD9.. the reason it is such a low resolution is because it was the highest resolution they could get the engine running on smoothly. Either they were too ambitious with engine features, or the engine is inefficient. Using DVD9 would more likely affect the number of textures(and their resolution)/models/maps etc in the game, or as we saw with FFXIII the quality of CGI videos and audio. There are games that run at sub...
Well the thing is that its not entirely stable to do this. The reason it has 6 cores is because its a failed 6-core cpu, and was binned as a 4 core. Which means 2 cores didn't meet standards. So, users are taking a chance by enabling them again. I have a triple core CPU and I tried unlocking the 4th core. It worked, but I couldn't boot into windows. Other people have been more successful but results vary greatly.
If anything, this only promotes AMD products. Sure you'll get some ...
There should be DVDs, I mean yeah PSN is great but clearly there is a market for people who don't buy stuff online, otherwise we wouldn't see boxed DLC for 360 either.
It's been something like, 1 or 2 interviews, and morons are making an article based on every individual comment they made.. the people who need to shutup are the ones making the articles.
Yeah, and he's 100% correct too. Think about it, games like counterstrike or half life, or even crysis for that matter keep living on because of the community. The players in that community spread the word to friends, the game goes on sale on steam and people buy it up. It's not a huge boom in sales right from release, but a significant amount of sales over time. Modding and mapping keep the game alive for a much longer time than any console game. And when there are exceptions to that (ie Hal...
I don't agree with him either but I still think he's entitled to his opinion. He didn't just rip on the game, he just doesn't like it nearly as much as everyone else.
Umm, it hasn't been Yerli that's been saying anything, it was the writer Richard Morgan. Clearly you haven't read the other articles.
Yeah, I disagree that Uncharted 2 didn't do gaming justice.. it blended cinema and gaming so well that half the time you didn't know which was which. Mass Effect 2 character interactions were basically interrogations, not the most realistic conversations ever, and I hope that their goal for the next game is to improve it. I certainly have more complaints about ME2 than Uncharted 2.
Thank you, I was actually expecting commenter backlash and a million disagrees. Bubbles for you!
Does anyone read anymore? The interviewer brought up Uncharted 2 and asked what he thought.

Try reading the interview. The interviewer brought up Uncharted 2 and he gave his opinion, nothing wrong with that.

"What to you think of other narrative-based games, such as Uncharted 2? It’s very linear, right?
It’s another style.
It’s delivered in a very linear way.
Cevat Yerli: It’s another style, and I don’t want to talk down that game. It’s really great, and that’s an altern...
Well, sorry for assuming, but the way you wrote it seemed to imply that he shouldn't be one to talk, and a lot of other commentors have been saying that :p
Wow, screw off Activision.. I mean, it could be a Blizzard decision but it sounds more like something right up Kotick's alley.
And you should work on finding out who wrote crysis and crysis warhead, because it wasn't this guy.
Has no one seen the articles about the original crysis writer going to jail for "attacking" an american border guard?
Nice! If theres one thing F3 needed it was vehicles. Even with the smaller landscape vehicles would have been awesome.
