Ahaha, PSBeyond, why lie?
Now that angry Japanese guy is angry at the N4G fanboys.
He's one of the most underrated indie devs out there. His games are marvelous works of art.
Cloud is still a very touching experience and it's one of the few video games I would love to see as an animated movie.
Haha, score a meagre win for gamers.
At least PS3 gamers are getting some of this stuff for free.
What's baffling though is that wouldn't it make more sense to have characters like Pac-Man and Cole from inFamous as paid-for, post-launch DLC? I mean, wouldn't that be the smart way to go about it?
Oh well, at least it's a partial win for one group of gamers.
Dude, if you aren't trolling you will be bubble downed so badly.
I understand being a fanboy (I used to be one for Acclaim games, anyone remember them?) but you need to set your principles straight man.
Letting a company milk you of DLC and on-disc content doesn't benefit anyone. It means they can continue to release half-shoddy games at full retail prices with on-disc premium content. How does that help the gaming industry grow other than execs getti...
@admiralvic
I understand about being objective but it's blatant thievery.
Joystiq and a few others skimmed over it like it was no big deal, and I really like Joystiq.
Destructoid seemed to be the only one to encourage gamers to think about it realistically without sugar coating the situation or downplaying it, just like Capcom is doing on their official blog. They're making it like somehow this is a good thing for gamers and that it&...
I hope more gaming websites do their part and tell it like it is.
Surprisingly, even though it was outed that the game ships with on-disc DLC a lot of major websites brushed it off like a rumor.
Destructoid definitely did their part and made it obvious that this is straight up BS and a cash grab on Capcom's part.
Hopefully N4G gamers spread the word about this practice, it doesn't do much good keeping it contained here.
Props.
I hate how the community is like "Oh well, so-and-so company is milking us too, why isn't it okay for x-and-x company to do the same?"
It's not okay for or by any company. Period.
I don't support Activision's annual milking habits and while I was going to buy SFxTekken because it IS an awesome game, I will wait like a lot of other gamers. I'm not feeding a machine that says it's okay to treat your con...
@VileAndVicious
I'm not understanding why after paying $60 for the disc, you can't just access all the content on the disc? It's very simple really. If I pay $60 for a game, I'd like to be able to access all the content on the game.
Back in the day when this would happen with PC games we called it easter eggs...because there might be an extra car, or race track in the game files that wasn't included in the actual game (i.e., Big Red Racin...
Yeah, $60 is free all right...
Also, this DLC on the disc obviously couldn't have been included in the final game since it's completed and all. I mean, that would be wrong on Capcom's part to just let people who paid for the game have access to ALL of the game's on-disc content.
I'm guessing pirates and modders won't have to worry about that, though.
The Capcom defenders are crazy.
The BioWare folk at least had a grounds of defense (The game was finished by the time the DLC was ready for day-one release) but this BS is beyond wallet-raping, back-alley ghetto crap.
It's exactly like you said...some fat cat in a suit walks up to you, slaps your lips, grabs your wallet out of your back pocket and just straight up rapes it right in front of you. I mean, no respect....no respect whatsoever.
It's sad because the only people who are aware of this are the ones who visit this site and this makes up for an extremely small part of the gaming market.
I guess we can just expect more companies to follow the same route.
Yeah because obviously, a PR boilerplate response is not on the table.
Capcom is obviously going to come clean about this. Obviously.
/Sarcasm
All the SF characters were copied over from SF4, so they only had to work on Tekken/guest characters.
The two people who disagreed with you already sat on his lap.
@Yomaster
What's interesting is that Activision is the one who closed them down. Ironic eh?
Agreed.
Nintendo, Valve and Rockstar are some of the most fair players in the game right now. What bothers me are people defending this kind of cash gouging where pretty soon you'll b paying $60 for a game and an additional $10 for the multiplayer, an extra $15 for multiplayer costumes and maps and an extra $20 to play single-player in co-op mode.
I don't think the MS or Sony would be happy with people modding stuff on their consoles.
lol....
I love how he says "bad news" and "naked lady" in the same sentence as if our smiles should be turned into frowns.
There are only a few rare occasions where you say "bad news" and "naked lady" in the same sentence and usually it's when your wife is coming through the door or your friend brought over an ugly date.
+1 bub to you man.
Most people on N4G are teenagers and a lot of gamers like to giggle like little schoogirls at "sideboobs" but not all of us are sideboob-giggling teenagers.
Gamers from the 1990s disagree with you.
