Dude, don't be dense.
The retail game market alone makes nearly double of what Hollywood intakes annually and it makes more than the movie and music industry combined.
THE GAMING INDUSTRY KEEPS GROWING.
You're ignoring facts for some reason but I just stated that EA and Activision make close to $5 billion a year. The used market and piracy HAS no effect.
Stop being dense and get educated about the market. They're...
The really stupid part is, how much would gamers have had to pay if hackers had never brought this disgusting practice to light?
I mean, we're still only getting 12 of the 56 colors for free, but Capcom has yet to detail if ALL the colors will be free. I imagine there are some ignorant fools who think gamers don't deserve to have colors available to them right out of the box because "teh colors costs monies to make"
But let's be honest, ...
Dude, the used games market helps the retail market and it's the reason gaming keeps growing.
The death of gaming will come at the hands of big publishers, mark my words.
Also, get educated on how much these guys actually make. EA makes close to $1 billion per quarter...the used game market and piracy IS NOT HURTING THEM. They just see an opportunity to cash in on ignorant, uninformed gamers and a lot of people buy into their BS that "used game sale...
Dude, there IS NO FLIP.
Someone asked the question directly in relation to SFxT. HE RESPONDED.
There's no flip, there's no twist. He doesn't agree with ripping content and re-selling it. What part about that do you not understand?
PSBeyond reported it like it was. He agreed that ripping content is a scam. Capcom ripped content, therefore IT. IS. A. SCAM.
It's like the words are hitting a brick wall or logic i...
So the colors were always separate DLC...Capcom obviously didn't have time to add colors to the color customization tool?
If you can't tell that the DLC was stripped then no one can help you to stop being blind.
The hackers proved the charactrs are 100% complete and balanced and are fighting with them right now on XBL (some winning and some losing).
This is not to mention that ALL that stuff was on disc before certification.
WHo cares?
The industry makes more money than you could bother to count to with all the time in the world.
Gaming will hit close to $100 billion in annual revenue by 2015.
WTF are people talking about used sales hurting the retail business when EA and Activision make more money than the movie and music industry? If you combined the profits from the top three gaming publishers they make more money than any other consumer media sector combine...
Well rounded review. I totally agree about the missed opportunity with the story and tag team matchups. It felt like Capcom rushed right through that part.
Man, if I had a chance to match teams up I'd pair people together based on their story coherence. Like it would make sense if Dudley and Steve Fox were teamed together...could even be a light story attached to that. Other characters just seemed like they were thrown together just to be thrown together. Really feels li...
@Tose, I'm too tired and lazy to link fetch for you.
Just go through the GNews feed or better yet use GameTrailers and just look at the Street Fighter X Tekken promotional trailers...Capcom released trailers showing off Cody and Guy. It's the one with Hugo and Poison and I think there's a brief cameo of Haggar. So...yeah...
Like with Cody and Guy?
I'm never going to disagree with anyone that this is an industry wide disease.
Different companies find various ways to loophole the trust of gamers for extra coin. I find it sad that even I have fallen victim to these loopholes out of my love for gaming.
I think this Capcom thing NEEDS to be the straw that breaks the camel's back. And I hope dearly that gamers wake up and see that it's not just Capcom aiming to nickel and dime but most big pubs...
Effectively Capcom would have got away scotch-free. No one would have been the wiser and us poor schmucks would have been paying $80+ for the complete character roster (not including how much the remaining colors and costumes will cost die-hard fans.)
Yeah I've been doing my part of hating on the ME3 on-disc DLC, too.
But let's be honest, EA covered their tracks pretty good and their PR response left little for people to pick apart. They're not as stupid as Capcom but certainly more greedy.
I don't know what else you expect of gamers. You should be e-mailing and calling gaming website editors because those lazy arse mofos don't seem to be doing their job of covering this news and making...
There are videos on how to unlock them...
NYC_Gamer's point is that you can still get great experiences and the same kind of games just without requiring $50 million.
Most gamers don't know that games don't have to have ridiculous AAA budgets to offer the same kind of content. A lot of that money is flushed into marketing, marketing and more marketing.
Gamers and developers need to trim the publisher fat and just work it out together. Gamers didn't mind shelling out $2 million for a...
EA's PR are great at their job...
Notice how not one journalist followed up on the DLC debacle for ME3 but instead moved all their attention over to the ending? Ridiculous.
I get that sinking feeling too that next time Capcom will wisen up like EA and just store everything on their servers.
Either way, it's looking like gamers may lose in the end.
It's not piracy if it's already on the disc.
Funny how the report is that this video is about pirating, when it's no different than using a Game Genie to unlock hidden content on a game.
(Capcommie?)
Oh I'm not knocking them for adding stuff PC games used to get right out of the box during the 90s and very early 00s, it's just funny because this stuff used to be standard and now PC gamers are getting excited about stuff we used to get all the time regularly.
More than anything I was just being sarcastic about the irony of it all.
This is awesome news. The Attitude era was straight-up awesome and it was the one era where wrestling was considered cool in the mainstream. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, The Rock, DX and Brotherhood of Apocalypse ftw.
EDIT: Anyone else notice that the Lost MC from GTA IV seemed awfully similar to BoA from WWF?
