ME1 = 20hrs
ME2 = 14hrs
ME3 = more shooting than RPG mechanics, so do you really think it's going to be 20-30 hours?

I beat ME2 pretty quickly and in this gen most RPGs aren't really RPGs, they're short and skimpy and very, very easy (compared to RPGs in the Golden Age of gaming). Action games are between 4-6hrs of gameplay like you mentioned, yes, but RPGs aren't very far behind.

You must be very young to think that $65 shoul...

They overreacted because it was revealed that the day-one DLC was story related.

Also, unlike the BioWare employee says it's a two week process between going gold and hitting retail shelves. Before instantly disagreeing, look up the average time it takes for a game to go gold and when it actually releases (the average is two weeks).

People DID NOT overreact, basically the day-one DLC could have been included in the final game. There's no excuse why it...

Thank you, well said.

I hate how the gaming community is being used by popular companies to in-fight "You whiney B**** you can't afford it? Get a better JOB!"

$60 is already too much for 4-8 hour games. I beat Mass Effect 2 in less than 13 hours and haven't played it again because it was just an okay game with excellent writing.

We're constantly, as a community, being badgered by higher-ups that games are getting more ...

Bubbles to you.

I can't believe so many people don't mind being wallet raped.

Remember when you bought GTA: San Andreas? Guess what you GOT THE FULL GAME AT RETAIL. There were no hidden costs, no extras, no BS.

Remember when Collector's Editions were just that? Full of collector's items and stuff. If you paid for that extra crap, good for you, that's obviously what you wanted.

Nowadays, it's a toss-up ...

Because everyone who pays $60 deserves the complete game from start to finish. There should NEVER be a moment where DLC makes up for the total experience.

Now if the CE DLC is all secondary side-trash, that's fine. But people who didn't even know about the CE or don't bother with extra crap will want to pay $60 for A COMPLETE GAME. PERIOD.

People like you probably also defended EA when they launched NFS: Carbon and NFS: Black with DLC already lock...

Dude, have you seen Call of Duty 2 on PC maxed out?

That game looks better on PC than most games look on console today.

I'm sure a lot of fanboys will disagree but please go back and either play the game or check out a 1080p HD video of the game. It looks amazing.

I know right?

I have no idea who is worse between EA and Activision.

Gosh, I remember buying games on the PSX and playing them until they scratched up and didn't work anymore. I NEVER TRADED IN A SINGLE PSX GAME.

Nowadays you don't get the full game for the full price until you buy all these extras, unlockables, multiplayer passes and content accessibilities. Thank you EA and Activision for ruining gaming.

Nice way to troll the pirate trolls, Starbreeze. I salute you.

It's just too bad you let EA publish your game.

That must be an atrocious job...finding terrible mods. For the nude mods do they rate them on how uneven the boobies are or whether they look real or not?

EDIT: All right, just seen those high-resolution pillows....wow, that's insane. At least the modders didn't get a job at EA/Activision and then complain about how much it costs to make those pillows in HD.

You missed the point.

There's always Collector's Edition DLC for games. No one cares about that.

THERE IS A STORY CANON CHARACTER THAT IS DLC ONLY THAT PEOPLE ARE PISSED ABOUT.

You get that? You don't get the WHOLE story until you get the character. The. Character. Is. Canon.

It's like watching a movie and wondering where some random guy comes from but in order to find out why it makes sense to the movie at a...

I agree it was a good headline.

Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of Philip K. Dick's writing despite loving the films inspired by his work such as Blade Runner and Nemesis (<-- one of my all time favorite cyber-punk movies ever).

You hit the nail on the head.

Saints Row games have always been about juvenile stupidity and I loathed the "main character" even though he/she was a created character...utterly reprehensible.

I think I see TheSuperior's point but at the same time everyone else makes the right call in saying Saints Row 3 is not even remotely similar to GTA anymore.

For me, the first two games were like terrible versions of True Crime: Streets ...

If Activision never blacklisted Gameblog why would they have to be happy to "work again" with Gameblog if the blacklisting never occurred?

Wow Activision, nice epic lying fail.

Totally agreed about the modding-community.

The thing that bothers me the most are people who oppose letting the modding community at Call of Duty even though the modding community is LITERALLY what makes Skyrim playable and interesting on PC.

What's worse is that people defend paying $60 for an unfinished game, and an extra $50 for Elite meaning that Activision is getting well over $100 per person for content that pales in comparison to what gamers cou...

And just so you know, you got disagrees not because the DLC crap comment but because it's been out of hand since the latter half of this generation of gaming.

I'm more disappointed that gamers let it go on (and keep supporting it).

Totally agreed.

A lot of devs are starting to openly protest the need for publishers and I fully support them in this decision.

Devs with a loyal fanbase and a good track record will come out on top every time they do a Kickstarter. If Naughty Dog went indie you can bet your bottom dollar the community would give them HOWEVER much they wanted. Same could be said of Respawn Entertainment, Bungie or if BioWare finally got from under the evil umbrella of EA.

What's worse is that someone disagreed with you, meaning they think that it's justified to pay $60 for what's essentially an expansion pack.

Aside from the voiceover work, a talented group of 5 modders could actually churn out the same kind of content for Call of Duty each year within the same time frame if they had access to the assets and engine specs.

In fact, there are more impressive Unreal Tournament mods out there than what we've been g...

There's a lot of games not worth paying for, which is the main problem.

As FlashXIII brought out, you're basically paying for a better community, theoretically.

But is WoW's gameplay or features any better or more abundant than a game like Allods Online? Not really.

Does Star Wars offer up anything any other MMO doesn't already have save for a lot of talking NPCs? Not really. The fact that there's an $80 entry I think m...

Ahaha...EA is probably going to blacklist this site for breaking embargo. Nice.

I wonder if the 8.5 was worth it?

EDIT: I also love the contradictory tone of the review, where the reviewer says this isn't a "Typical shooter" but a "Tactical FPS" then goes on to explain all the hand-holding features it has such as seeing through walls, regenerating health, causing enemies to suicide without being close to them, etc., etc. Sounds li...
