I completely understand your argument.
Right now Capcom is kind of burning for every gamer's frustration with DLC this gen. is it fair? That's debatable.
However, I think the gaming media is retarded.
Video game journalists are a freaking joke.
Not one gaming site out there is actively pursuing this and every other company out there, especially EA.
GI, IGN, GameSpot, Venture Beat, Destructoid, Forbes,...
This is what happened to them.
Soo...if 50% of the game was locked out of the box, you'd be all right with that?
Nah, maybe in the Super Ultimate Pro Edition, maybe.
For sure it will make it into the Super Hyper Turbo Ultimate Tournament Edition, and it might show up again in the Golden Fusion Maximum Turbo Boosted Edition, which comes with unicorn Gems and a troll's beard, but only if you buy the special edition limited collector's bonus pack from Best Buy or Amazon, the one from GameStop comes with a special cow utter for those who enjoy milk.
Who is this going around adding disagrees to everyone's comment?
I'd love for this person to at least speak up on the matter. I mean, is there really any other excuse at this point?
Not really, only three, Cole and those two cats.
The rest are also on the 360 disc and fully compatible and playable and balanced. Kind of makes you go, wtf capcom? WTF?
@darkride66
To be honest, I don't want better graphics. Indie games coming out later this year are already pushing the photorealistic barriers (Project CARS and Assetto Corsa) but I could care less if it meant we could get some awesome games with awesome gameplay.
Limbo is still one of my most favorite games this gen and it didn't push any big graphics boundaries it just used current-day graphic trends in an artistic and inventive way. I wish more dev...
It's preset combos, memots. Not sure what the pricing will be.
The Super Gems (clocking in at over 60) will also carry a price, no word on how much though.
Capcom has assured fans though that the first set of basic colors will be free, they're only going to charge for additional colors, advanced colors and metallic colors.
Better tell your friends before they turn on the sheeple button and keep Capcom's scam-machine churning out the scams at a rate of over 9000!
Actually, very few people complained abou the GTA clones because most of them were pretty good or even a far cry from GTA itself (i.e., Mercenaries, True Crime, The first Godfather, Scarface, Just Cause).
The article is talking mostly about AAA titles lacking variety because they're all trying to cash in on the Michael Bay Splions(Tm) and the sheeples who can't stop spending money to experience those 'Splosions.
The PG era kids disagree with you apparently.
Good to hear about this game. It looked like a genuine throwback to the classic PSX era of RPGs, which has been lacking on the marketplace as of late.
Depends.
Are we going to get the same crap with "OMG!" quality graphics or are we actually going to get better games?
I'm going to go out on a limb (and I know fanboys from both sides will plaster me for this) but I just don't feel any game this gen compared to what was offered in GTA: San Andreas and Scraface: The World is Yours.
It feels like games actually moved backwards from those concepts. I also really, really liked t...
I can get onboard with that.
Well, to answer your question.
There's no middleman in PC retail distribution. There are royalty fees that must be paid to console manufacturers (Sony and MS) that bloat up the retail costs for the Xbox 360 and PS3. I can't remember the exact figure but publishers would go broke if they tried to sell AAA games for the 360 and PS3 for $30.
I'm not siding with publishers at all, I'm just saying that it's setup where consumers and developers ...
Dude, don't buy their BS.
The content was already completed, the more rational question is why did they disc-lock completed content and not just include it into the disc?
Also, $40k per update is nothing for Capcom. Do you know how many people would have bought SFxT (and are still buying it) just because it's Street Fighter X Tekken? The name alone is worth millions, and fight fans have waited a decade for such an epic game.
Capcom sc...
The PS2 era games were cheaper to make and provided gamers with awesome gameplay.
Also, Q.U.B.E. cost $90,000 to make thanks to cheaper middleware. Misinformed gamers like yourself help feed the publishing machine.
A lot of games don't need to cost $25+ million to make but publishers feed on the misinformed so they can charge you $60 and then whatever else for disc-locked content and people like yourself will buy into it because you don't know the act...
Check Steam right now and tell me how much Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is...no disc, no booklet, no box.
Still cheap?
LOL, GTA IV is a lone exception and was well worth every penny. That game looks and plays like a $100 million dollar game. Can't say the same for Modern Warfare 3, though.
At least Rockstar was also up front as to where all the money went and it shows.
However, aside from GTA IV we don't need $100 million dollar Hollywood-style blockbuster games with Hollywood voice actors. I don't care if Sean Penn provided moans and dying sounds for an FPS, it...
I'm sorry but I disagree.
I don't condone piracy but all the people who started pirating Street Fighter X Tekken because of what Capcom did I don't blame them.
Capcom is worse than the pirates...at least the pirates and hackers helped us see through Capcom's scam.
