Many of the good old adventure games were about helping each other and others along the journey. I also played Out of this World long time ago.
Today's games like FPS and action adventure games are all about destroy and kill everything that moves, sometimes including your own partners so that you are the last man standing with the most the benefits or score.
With large games like Uncharted 2 and Final Fantasy XIII proved fast disk loading directly from disc can optimized on PS3, there are still many game developers who are lazy and take shortcut to dump a large install to the hard drive. Why do they care? It's the gamer that needs to supply a lot of free hard drive space to play the game.
Sony should have required only optional install to the hard drive for any PS3 games after the 1st year to force game developers to do the d...
Is the GOTY edition game disc the same as the original edition since it said it includes a voucher to download the extra contents. If so, are the extra contents locked to one PSN account? Can I still access the extra contents if I play with multiple PSN accounts to track different multiplayer scores?
Found another article from Naughty Dog description on the GOTY edition. The game disc is the same. But they did not answer if the DLC are locked to one PSN account.
Always amuses me that some gamers read the game marketing hype calls it the best game of the year before the actual game is out.
Is this how some gamers try to make themselves believe a game will the best for the year by believing the hype?
It's good that the marketing hypes work so well for many gamers.
I like Heavenly Sword but until I have played the entire Enslaved for myself, I don't believe any marketing hype. I have played the ...
Heavy Rain type of story has been done so many times in movies. Turning the game into a movie is nothing more than to sell the title.
What can Nintendo come up for the next gen console that is more unique than PS3 and X360? Just coming out with another console that can do what PS3 and X360 already done isn't enough. Many of the Wii exclusive game publishers are into making low cost and simple casual games. Are they up to the development capability to make PS3 and X360 level of games? Even some can, what can they make that is beyond what PS3 and X360 already have? Also, by the time Nintendo comes out with the next gen co...
Question is The Writer DLC going to conclude the Alan Wake story. That is one of the reason I don't like when a game is developed without a cliffhanger for more DLCs because if the developer stops making the DLCs, then the game storyline will be left hanging like many TV series that got canceled.
I like the idea of Move but not going to buy it until there are enough hardcore games designed in mind for Move. Right now, the games available for Move are mostly proof of concept. Sure they look fun but how long will the fun last before the games ended on the shelf?
The thing about open world narrative is you can sidetrack to play the side quests while the main story quest "time" simply freezes waiting for you to continue. I have played games that I'll be at the point of the main story where the bad guys are waiting next door and I can simply walk out from the main story and spend as much time as I want to play the side quests or wondering around while the bad guy from the main story quest simply freezes in time waiting for me.
Not necessary true. PSP doesn't have Right analog stick, L2, R2, L3 and R3. If the game uses every DS3 buttons, how do you map all the DS3 buttons to fewer PSP buttons. Use a "shift" to simulate multiple DS buttons?
How about PS3 games that have very small text? Is the small text readable when downscaled to lower PSP screen resolution?
I have 6 PSN accounts on different regions around the world. But I'm the one one using all the accounts. I also have multiple US PSN accounts to keep different online multiplayer scores. There are also many PS3 gamers having multiple accounts. So, 30 million PSN accounts may only have 20+ million physical gamers.
X360 gamers can also have multiple Live accounts but because it's harder to create Live accounts on different regions and having to pay the each Gold Live ac...
I have all the GT on PS2, PSP and PS3. While the games are pretty to look at, unless you are into realistic racing game, it gets very boring. I'm not saying I hate the GT games, just prefer more arcade style racing game.
Able to free roaming around the city is more fun than stuck on the circuit all the time.
My point is graphics isn't the most important unless you like the gameplay style.
With all the hypes on Move and Kinect, many gamers are going to be disappointed at launch time. This isn't that much different than when PS3 and X360 came out. Too many magic shown on the hypes and gamers expect to have them when they get their hands on them.
Go and look at Kinect ads a year ago and compare to what it can currently do.
That's the issue with advertising hypes. Both companies have to hype incredible capabilities to get gamers excited bu...
If Microsoft as Halo Reach publisher didn't put a warning on the game box stating co-op mode is not playable without a hard drive, then it is false advertising. Hidden marketing strategy is Microsoft knows enough Halo Reach gamers will buy the hard drive than take this false advertising to the court.
While 4GB slim X360 is the highlight for not able to play the Reach co-op, the older Arcade model has the same restriction.
Delayed demo for the free PSN is like how Gold Live does it. Silver Live members get the new demos a week later. I used to download the demo on my PS3 because I don't have to wait. With PS+, it's becoming like Gold Live.
Reality is for Sony to ensure PS+ has the illusion to be a lot more added value than the free PSN, they have to slowly move some of the free PSN stuff to PS+.
Also to start promoting PS+ as a great added value at the beginning, Sony h...
Isn't the X360 version supposed to get the 1st DLC free when it's available? I read that somewhere.
That is the reason why Microsoft will not give Gold Live free because there are plenty of X360 gamers that will pay even with increase in Live subscription price.
It's all about supply and demand. While it's not good for the gamers having to pay for online multiplayer, Microsoft did it "right" from the beginning as a big revenue generator.
Sony tried to compete with X360 by making PSN free as better value but now with PS+, Sony can't get...
If Nintendo can come out with a new Wii that is comparable to the power to PS3 or X360 and HD, what then? It's not doing anything new that the other two consoles have done for years.
Second, just because Nintendo has a powerful Wii comparable to PS3 or X360, they need exclusive games that are beyond what PS3 and X360 can do. Those type of games take years to develop and don't happen overnight. While many Wii game developers are making low graphics and simple games, th...
Transferring DLC license on X360 to another console can't be done everyday or often. Isn't Microsoft restricted license transfer to only once a year?
I own both PS3 and X360, and I also play games on multiple gamer accounts.
All the Ultimate Edition contents on the disc is only a hope including myself. But having the contents on the disc doesn't mean they are going to be unlocked.
EA's Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition has the extra contents on disc but locked with code which is accessible only by one PSN account. I'm not saying to share the contents with friends, but if you play online multiplayer with multiple accounts, you cannot.
Uncharted 2 GOTY extra contents are a...
