With Hollywood involved making game to movie, it will never be want fans expect. Hollywood directors/producers always want to change the characters and in the end, the movie version is nothing more by the same title and character names. With MGS complex characters and story, the movie will have a paper thin storyline and shallow characters.

How I usually watch game to movie is forget everything I know about the game characters and have very low expectation that the movie version ...

All PSP Go games have zero resale/trade in value. Additional cost to the Memory Sticks if the internal memory is too small.

It's for gamers who have too much money and don't care about selling/trading their old games.

That is why Nintendo is very clever in making a poor designed Wiimote sensors because they know casual gamers are clueless about what it means on accuracy in the game controller.

When was the last time you heard a casual Wii gamer complain about poor Wiimote accuracy as long they can win in the game?

The reality is it doesn't matter how crappie Nintendo makes Wii, casual gamers will continue to like it.

If you can set the expectation super low like Ninte...

Would GOTY edition contents be on a disc or download codes?

Gears of War 2 GOTY edition is the same as the launch edition with a piece of paper with download codes. Some packaging even has the sticker seal not to sell it by the original launch date in 08 with a sleeve over the game case and the code paper is out the game case.

Since most games today have major bugs on the initial release, I don't buy new games on the day 1 they come out. Why spend $60 on buggy games? I usually wait until the major bugs are fixed before buying the games.

If we keep buying new games with full of bugs, then as gamers, we are encouraging the game publishers to ship the games broken and fix them later.

I know I'll probably hear "can't wait" from other gamers. It's the choice of spending full $60 on br...

Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3 supports keyboard and mouse which enables the FPS to move like the PC.

But when the UT3 on X360 came out, keyboard and mouse support were dropped.

The stupid reasoning from the game publishers for not supporting keyboard and mouse on FPS and RTS is it's not fair for those who use the game controller. Who doesn't have keyboard and mouse sitting somewhere in the house today?

Is the game content or the trophies more important? I think trophies are fun but mustn't be the reason to play games. If getting trophies are the reason to spend hours to playing the game, then it's playing for the wrong reason.

Does having more Platinum trophies show you are a better gamer?

I think too many gamers are confused the real reason of playing games.

Halo OSDT contents $40 + Halo fans value $20 = $60.

Download price + cost of Memory Stick = more expensive than UMD.

Download = zero resell value.

I don't agree with "Backward compatibility" on PC. Try to play many of the great games made for DOS, Windows 98 and DirectX 6 and few will run properly on XP or Vista.

With PC, it doesn't always just work when you install a new game. Drivers update is often a must and when a new driver is installed, it often breaks some of the older games. When DirectX is updated, it also often breaks some of the older games.

PC games are also less optimized. It's easier to...

Why chose which console has better exclusive? If you can afford both PS3 and X360 (as many hardcore fans own multiple consoles), it doesn't matter which console has more or better exclusives. There's always one or more exclusive game on the other console that you want to play if you own only one type of console.

For non-exclusive games, I buy the "better" version either on PS3 or X360.

One thing game review sites need to include is gamer group. Just because the game reviewer loves the game, it doesn't mean the game is a must play for every type of gamer groups.

Games like GTA4. It's not the type of game for family group even the game is rated very high and must play.

If Sony needs to make profit with PS2 BC, would you pay $50 for it? This would ensure the unsold PS2 consoles will make up for the PS2 BC on PS3.

6138d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

What make more sense to BC development costs is limit the BC to PS2 download games only like the current PS1 download games.

1. Allows Sony to resell you the download version than those already have the game on the disc to play for free.

2. Ensure download version is 100% BC than having to support certain PS2 games on disc that aren't compatible. This way, gamers can't keep complaining about certain PS2 games aren't BC. (Microsoft has gone though this and never did g...

Why do everyone assume software BC is going to be compatible with your favorite PS2 games? My guess is the BC isn't going to run many PS2 games properly.

80GB PS3 with software CPU + hardware GPU is already less compatible than 60GB PS3 with hardware CPU + hardware GPU.

Remember $20/1600 points + the expensive X360 hard drive space. Since X360 games are average of 5GB per game, a 5GB download game is like $25 or more.

Since the digital download version is $20, there probably wouldn't be any new games that are still $60 for the disc version.

I don't buy new games on the first day of the release anymore. Why spend $60 on games when it's broken?

The more gamers accept broken games out of the box, the more game publishers will ship broken and buggy games.

How many games today don't require patches immediately after they came out?

6212d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Part of the problem why games this gen are so buggy is the gamers. I keep hearing "Can't wait", "want to play the game now", etc also caused the publishers to release new games half baked. Every time a publisher delayed a game, I hear so many gamers complain because they "can't wait".

So, is it more fun to buy a buggy game released before it's fully baked and have to patch it later just to be able to play it? By the time the game is patched to be les...

Why does it matter which console is "the year of"? I like my PS3 and X360 equally as long each has good games.

The Year of the console is nothing more than to brag about and to make the fans feel better about themselves.

I simply buy the best version either PS3 or X360. With Fallout 3, I buy the X360 version. Reality is neither console has everything. Being a fan to one console only just limit yourself.
