Both female avatar outfits are free. Once your avatar wears the Flight suit, you can't really tell if the avatar is male or female. For the Woods outfit, if you carefully create the female avatar appearance, the gears on the outfit covers up the female unique properties quite well.
You can choose to pay for the male avatar outfits for a high price or female avatar outfits for free.
It's obvious gamers hate buggy games. But why wouldn't gamers wait until the publishers have patched the game several times before getting it? Many of the obvious bugs are probably known in-house testing but nowadays, game publishers choose to ship the game with a lot of bugs because they know gamers will buy them anyway and they can patch the games later.
If you think it's okay to buy buggy games on day 1, then you are telling the game publishers that you are hap...
I prefer more arcade style racing games like NFS, Blur, Burnout Paradise, etc. I have GT3 and GT4 on PS2 but found them to be very boring because they are realistic racing game and can't do unrealistic stunts.
My question is gamers keep saying GT5 will be a great game but I'm concerned it's going to just an eye candy than fun for me. Being a game, I wouldn't be able to progress in the game (I never got anywhere in GT3 and GT4) if I don't spend much time pl...
While I'm glad RE5 Gold edition sold well, but from business point of view, the success of RE5 Gold also tells Capcom that make gamers buy the double-dip edition if they want to have the Move patch.
Just come out with some BS excuses why they can't patch the original RE5 to support Move. It's not that hard to BS about the programming complexities to add the Move patch because gamers don't have access to the RE5 code anyway.
The simple fact is ...
Because on PS1 games, the games were developed in mind to be as long and complete as possible. There was no DLC to sell the remaining contents later. At most, if there are enough new contents, they were released as expansion pack.
Unlike many of today's gamers who are so willing to accept a $5-$10 DLC is an hour long for single player story, or another map that was removed from the main map to be sold as DLC later.
If you watch a lot of games released this year, the price quickly dropped by $10-20 after a few weeks they came out.
Game publishers already know that only the hardcore gamers are the ones that must buy most games on day 1 and unless the game continue to sell super well after a few weeks later, they have to drop the price for the rest of the gamers to buy them.
I do like the idea $60 is too expensive for today's games because a lot of contents have been m...
As long there are enough hardcore gamers willing to buy it, the publishers will keep releasing the edition. Easy profit because the RC car doesn't cost that much to manufacture in large quantities.
Always interesting to see some stores still having the ultra expensive edition sitting on the shelf after a year later.
Why is that a surprise? Gamer publishers know even they ship games with full of bugs, gamers will continue to rush to buy the gamers. So why bother to polish the game before shipping if gamers will buy them?
I also collect my games. But it's not possible to "collect" DLCs. Once the DLC code has been activated, it's locked to the gamer's account. Changing the gamer's account will loose the DLCs.
As for Collector's Edition, it's simply not possible to collect 100% of the items that come with it. Most Collector's Editions now include some or all the bonus contents as DLC. Even if I don't activate the Collector's Edition DLC items, the co...
EA is currently having discount and ME2 on X360 is available for $15.
First Kinect gamers found it's taking photos of them naked (I guess those gamers never thought of it first). Then, Kinect gamers found it's earsdropping on their conversations. Then, they found others over Live heard their conversations.
The point is too many gamers today don't want to put too much thought about the privacy and rather jump into the latest toy until they discovered later they don't have the privacy.
Simple question, why do so m...
I own both consoles and still curious if ME2 on PS3 really going to be as good as X360 version.
Even PS3 edition includes the DLCs, are they going to be worth $60? X360/PC version has dropped to less than $20. Plus there isn't a way to import ME1 saved game into ME2 on PS3 version.
As for disc swapping on X360, there are only two swaps in the entire game.
With EA/Bioware lately in releasing Ultimate Edition, it's possible X360 version...
Going to wait until the game has been patched several times before getting it. No interest in playing buggy games on day 1.
As long gamers have no self control of buying broken and buggy games, game publishers have no reason to ensure the games are well tested and polished before shipping them.
If you give most gamers the option of play broken and buggy games now or wait until games are well polished, most will take the earlier option. Just can't control themselves having to wait. It's like the a toy you wanted so bad now and having to wait makes you go crazy having to think about it every...
I'm bored playing games with zombies. Enemies are fun when they are smart. Zombies are dumb. The only fun is they attack in very large number but how long before that gets boring with enemies that have no intelligence?
Why do having trophies make a game better? Do we need to be rewarded with "doggy biscuits" so that we are more willing to play the game and complete more difficult tasks?
I played Uncharted 1 before the trophy patch, but never care about replaying the game again after the trophy patch. Having the trophy now doesn't make the game sweeter.
If MGS4 does get patched with trophy, we can imagine many gamers will rebuy the game just for the trophies.
Somehow day 1 gamers still pretending to forget about online multiplayer will be full of glitches and instability like any other game.
If you don't like playing new games that are buggy, don't rush to buy the new games on day 1. Read reviews and forums to see the types of bugs in the new game. If the game is reported to be too buggy for your taste, don't buy it.
If you do like to buy the game, wait for a while until the patches have fixed most of the nasty bugs.
That is how I buy most of my games now. No day 1. Wait until the patches have fixed most of the bugs. If I don't do...
As long there are enough gamers who are willing to buy broken and buggy games on the day 1 release, the game publishers will continue to do it. It's all about sell now and fix later. Also it looks better on business because the game publishers are more likely to meet the release schedule and show profits first.
The most amusing part is gamers who are willing to buy the games on day 1 release still "surprised" and complain about how broken and buggy the games are...
If game publishers believe selling incomplete retail games is the only way, then drop the retail game down to $20. If the game is really that good, then more gamers will be willing to buy the rest of the contents through DLC. It has been done with a few games sold as episodes over the years but I don't see this method is going any where.
My opinion is too many games today are terrible after a few hours. And game publishers know that. If they sell the retail at $20 for 33%...
