Does ME2 demo on PS3 allows carrying over the XP to the full game?

I remember reading ME2 demo on X360 allows carrying over XP to the full game.

I assume to be able to play Dead Money DLC, you better have a saved game before completed Fallout Vegas because the game gets locked out?

With most games, making eyes that look alive is low in the priority. Big guns are more important to them and FPS gamers.

Ever wonder why we spend so much time look at the back of the character we play if it as 3rd person view? Or, slap on a helmet to over the head so that there's no need to the development to spend any time with the face and eyes?

Even with high budget CGI movies, the eyes are often not well animated even the face looks human like?

Play Heavenly Sword and you'll see the expression in her eyes are what made Nariko so alive.

That is one of the advantage in keeping the game full price after a year later. ME2 was a very successful game on X360 a year ago. Now it's often going for around $10. Even all the DLCs don't cost $50.

Since PS3 version is "new" coming out a year later, bundled with the DLCs and some tweaks to the engine, it can be sold the original price again at $60.

EA/Bioware knows there are enough PS3 gamers that will buy it. ME2 on PS3 probably wouldn&...

Only able to make choices on the crew by playing 15 minutes of comic just can't create emotional bond to characters on deciding how lives or die, or which love interest.

It's like trying to decide the fate of a person by only knowing the person for 15 minutes on the key moments. When spending 30+ hours with the characters, you may find there are other reasons to keep the person alive than send the person to his death that you could have done if only knowing the same p...

The problem with co-op story campaign is each character must always be there throughout the story. So, no matter what happens in the story, all the co-op characters have to be around. As long the story is written that way, it will work. Another method that I think is silly is have multiple Drake "clones" when playing co-op like Dead Rising 2. I think that takes me out of the story when there are multiple Drake "clones" when playing in co-op mode.

Also, the...

When Sony advertises, free movies, is that rental or own?

Sony has redefined the term "free" and "own" because there are enough restrictions that you don't own anything free or paid from PSN movies when you change your PS3 console.

You are right about it. Problem with too many gamers today is they are so ready to buy into the hypes. They like to believe the next game has to be less broken even with the history of COD. The option of wait and see if not even something many gamers can do anymore.

Ask a simple question. Why are most games (especially online) shipped so broken today? I understand there will always be bugs, but isn't there any kind quality control anymore? Game publishers know with a lot ...

Is not buying games that you don't agree with quality not an option for gamers today?

All it takes is wait a little to read comments from other gamers who bought the game and if PS3 version is inferior port, then don't buy it.

There are plenty of other great PS3 games in the market.

I still haven't bought BlackOps because after reading so many comments from other gamers about the quality, I'm not dumb to waste my money on the ...

Speeding though ME1 story in short interactive comic doesn't give you emotional attachment on how you make the decisions. If you spend time, say 30 hours of actually playing ME1 game, your decisions may not be the same as spending less than an hour on the comic.

Also, after playing through the entire ME1, there are outcome of the character's fate that I didn't know about that the impact until 2 years later when ME2 came out early this year. Only after played ME2, ...

I remember reading an article about 2 years ago on Square-Enix saying they were moving to ship future games before the quality is properly polished and patch later.

With the quality of FF XIV, it seems to confirm what SE said 2 years ago.

Not just pointing finger at SE but most game publishers today are doing the same thing, ie. BlackOps. Only difference is how unpolished before the game gets shipped and how much patching is needed later.

It&...

The old style in-game "trophies" are much better system because it shows you what you have accomplished within the game.

The PS3 trophies and X360 achievements are designed to show off to others. Just because someone has a large trophies (and achievements) count on the PSN (and Live), it's just for bragging rights.

Some games have both trophies and in-game "trophies". I consider the in-game "trophies" more accurately represen...

I played both AW and HR. Characters in HR have deeper emotional depth. I felt what the characters went through especially Ethan (father) and I wanted to see variation of each character's (even the killer) motive.

While I enjoyed AW, the character's emotional on the gameplay seems to be detached from what Alan supposed to be feeling. I felt like I don't really care if Alan can save his wife as long I can get to the end of the game.

Being a video ga...

You rather have a buggy game so that it can be release before it's ready?

5662d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

To get U3 right, don't rush the game out the door. Many games that could have high potential came out broken and buggy because gamers kept complain wanting the game now. If ND needs to delay U3 until 2012 to get it right, then do it. Gamers need to understand not to keep demanding the game to come out before it's ready.

While trailers can be fun to watch, but until the actual game is out, I don't buy into the hype. That's why trailers are so effective for marketing because the marketers can throw whatever they want into the trailer to make it look all cool and exciting. Plenty of gamers easily get sold immediately by fancy trailers.

If a timed exclusive game turned to be very successful, releasing the game on the other platform is a good way to keep the price up.

ME2 (new) was on sale as low as $10 over the Black Friday on X360. Regular price is often around $20. When PS3 version comes out, it's probably going to be $60. All the DLCs don't add up to $40-50.

For PS3 gamers, it's nice to be able to play ME2 but also has to pay at a lot higher price for the game a year later.

The problem of using a character from FPS game is the character was never designed for fighting game. Sure, fighting moves can be created for FPS character but in the end, it's just a FPS character's skin over the fighting game character. It will be like Soul Calibur 4 all over again. I rarely use Yoda or Vader because neither character plays correctly like a fighting game character.

Anyone remembers the female Halo Spartan in Dead of Alive 4?
