If the rumor is true it would be another blatant ripoff of Nintendo's ideas. And you wonder Nintendo likes to wait until the last minute to unveil their stuff.
Microsoft be creative. Don't be a follower be a leader.
A lot of games on Wii don't have strong debuts, unless they are very popular franchises. Instead many of the games on Wii have legs in terms of sales. Just look at games such as Lego Star Wars and Carnival Games. Those games have been selling an ample amount every week which accumlated to around a 1 million in sells. Who knows, in a year Boom Blox can sell well over 1 million.
EA has no one but to blame but themselves for not missed opportunities on the Wii. They can't expect t...
They stockpile for the Christmas season. They also stockpiled for the Wiis debut in South Korea, China, and Taiwan.
Nintendo is not holding back to stir demand. That's just plain dumb. How can they when the Wii has been outselling the 360 and PS3 combined worldwide virtually every month?
Once again the competition rips off Nintendo.
Shame on you Microsoft. Come up with your own innovative ideas. Be a leader not a follower.
Otherwise Sony and Microsoft execs wouldn't be commenting about the Wii so much. You don't hear Microsoft and Sony execs commenting about mobile games or online flash games as much as they do on the Wii, do you?
Microsoft and Sony execs are smart enough to know they are competeting with Nintendo.
Just several ways they are in competition:
1) Shelf space in stores and store advertisements
2) Third parties' attention and resources (whe...
Pound for pound no other developer comes close to Nintendo when it comes to consistently creating the most original, fun games. Sure they reuse the same franchise a lot but so do a lot of other developers. How many reiterations of Final Fantasy, GTA, Castlevania etc. are there?
As for Nintendo letting 3rd parties release shovelware/garbage on the Wii, I think the reason why Nintendo is allowing it is because it believes the free market will sort everything out. It's very intere...
Nintendo is not holding back to build up hype. That is completely ridiculous. How could they when the Wii is the fastest selling console EVER? For virtually every month since the Wii was released it has been outselling the PS3 and 360 combined every month. Nintendo has bumped up production twice and they are planning to bump it up again to 2.5 million a month. Yet irrational haters still think Nintendo is holding back to build up hype? Unbelivable how some people can be so ignorant.

I am totally convinced that most posters on this website are clueless, narrow minded, and prideful. I am also convinced that most of you are teenagers who lack any deep understanding of the market. Your guys' analysis (if it is even that) is not rigorous or objective. You guys just spew irrational drivel towards a video game system. Sheeshs get a life. Will you guys ever get a clue that most of the population doesn't care for games that involves blowing people up or fancy graphics? This is a ...
I knew that enhanced graphics weren't what most gamers wanted. It does nothing to innovate or enhance gameplay. Console graphics have come to a point where developers are not limited to their vision - they can make any game they want. Pushing even more polygons is just superfluous. Only hardcore gamers who are fascinated with eye candy care about enhanced graphics.
Nintendo was smart enough to know this so they concentrated on making an innovative, accessible, immersive interfa...
You fanboys need to sing a new tune. This is getting pretty old. Every time there is some news about the Wii, Sony and Microsoft fanboys come on the thread to post some anti-Wii drivel. If you don't like the Wii, then don't play it. Plain and simple. Spewing irrational hatred towards it is not going to drive down sales of it as it has been outselling the 360 and PS3 combined worldwide for just about every month.
Seriously, what are you doing wasting time hating on the Wii on th...
Here's a fact: there are more 1 million third party sellers on the Wii than on the PS3. Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil UC, Red Steel, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Guitar Hero, Trauma Center and other games have past the 1 million mark.
Third party developers shouldn't expect to sell well when most of their games on the Wii suck. Make a quality game then it will sell.
Yeah, nevermind the Wii is outselling the 360 and PS3 combined consistently every month.
Nevermind they made games like Metroid Prime 3, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy, Battalion Wars 2, and Fire Emblem.
Geez, you would think after 16 months of dominating in sales Wii doubters would stop doubting. To this day I still can't find any Wiis in stock at my local retailers.
The Wii is competing with the 360 and PS3. The audience of the Wii does overlap with the audience of the 360 and PS3, though not to the extent of the PS3 and 360 audience overlapping. Otherwise Microsoft and Sony PR wouldn't be commenting on the Wii so much. There are other ways they are in competition. For example, not only do they compete for the same market, they also compete for developers' time and resources. When a developer makes an exclusive game for the Wii, that's one potential game...
"Experts" and Wii-haters still think the Wii will go downhill. I guess will have another year of the "Wii won't last" even when the Wii outsells the 360 and PS3 combined every month.
Finally, a 3rd party game that seems to utilize the Wii remote brilliantly. It's not clumsly tacked on or gimmicky. This is what will make the Wii great. Thank you Konami.
Many third parties are not bringing high quality games to the Wii to compete with Nintendo software. Most third party games on the Wii are garbage or at least mediocre at best. Weak ports with messy tacked on controls is not going to compete with Nintendo software in sales. What will compete with Nintendo software are games that are well crafted games built from the ground up that take advantage of the Wii's strength. I count that many games on the Wii with my fingers. Just look at the sales ...
they are.... um, bad.
3rd parties shouldn't complain about poor sales when their games are subpar.
Of course there are exceptions like Resident Evil 4 which sold over 1 million. Gee, a third party game sold well on a Nintendo platform, how did that happen? Maybe because Resident Evil 4 is an awesome game. 3rd parties should take notes.
Microsoft really has no shame stealing concepts from Nintendo. I heard the rumor that Microsoft wanted Wii-like controllers but now Miis! Wow! I think it's just plain sad and bad for the video game industry.
Microsoft should be creative by coming up with their own concepts to be implemented for console gaming. This just shows how UNimaginative Microsoft is. It also shows how desperate Microsoft is.
It's funny how Microsoft ridiculed the Wii for its motion control...
