Wii games usually have "long legs" in terms of sales. They rarely have huge debut sales. Let 6 months pass before make any judgements.
And for the Wii-haters here. Do you guys have a life? Seriously, who wastes there time posting on a board bashing a console they don't care for saying the same repetitive drivel over and over again? Losers.
@Seferoth75
"Yeah, I remember seeing that headline about Wii 3rd party outselling 3rd party on PS3/360, but how many titles have we seen on the Wii? If you have 100 titles released and a total of 1000 copies sold on one console, but you have 50 titles and 900 copies sold on another platform, it still means that your 50 titles made more money per title."
Well, if that is the case then that makes the Wii a more viable platform to invest in than the HD twins....
Wii 3rd party games outold 3rd party games of 360 and PS3 in '98. That's a fact. Moreover, video games typically on the Wii don't have big openings but tend to have "long legs" in terms of sales. For example, the most recent Call of Duty on Wii had very small first week sales but it has now sold over 1 million copies. The same thing can be said about Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition.
Why do you feel you need to bash the Wii? Shouldn't you be busy playing your PS3 or 360? Does it really make sense to waste time bashing something that is not of your taste?
I'm going to buy another Wii to make you even more mad. I can afford it because I'm rich. HAHAHAHA!
There seems to be a lack of maturity on here. Why bother coming on here
when most the posters are negative trolls spouting asinine comments?
Where are the moderators?
Sony and Microsoft should combine forces and make a single console called the Playstation Box. It will have the combined sales of the PS3 and 360. But even then the Wii will still outsell it. Aw shucks.

Why did you even bother buying the Wii in the first place? Being the hardcore gamer that you are you should have been informed enough to know that third parties ditched Nintendo the last 2 generations so what makes you think it would be any different this generation. Sure, after 1 year and a half third parties finally accepted the Wii is leading console this gen but how long does it take to make high quality titles? Moreover, Nintendo rarely makes games that caters to the 12 - 25 male demogra...
This is cool news. Now bring back Lemmings so me and my Wii can make love all night long.
Great! So Nintendo is finally catching up to demand. The so-called Wii fad doesn't seem to be declining when it is still outselling the 360 and PS3 combined. Oh, and the Wii is still outpacing the PS2 in sales when compared 2 years after launch.
I'm interested in this game. I like games with novel concepts.
I haven't played Dead Space so do you think MotionPlus would be useful with this game on the Wii?
A lot of good third party games on the Wii that doesn't get a lot of recognition like Zack and Wiki, Elebits, Lost Winds, De Blob.
I think fanboys are unintelligent and illogical. Giving this article a full response is a waste of time.
I would have skipped this generation if it weren't for the Wii. All you could have on the HD consoles you can have on the PC but much better. Nintendo brought something fresh and new - the Wii-mote and MotionPlus. Can't play games that utilizes the innovative interface such as WarioWare, Zack and Wiki, Boom Blox, Lost Winds, Metroid Prime 3, and Elebits anywhere else.
I agree with you. A very intelligent post (which is very rare on this site).
If it weren't for the Wii I would have gave up gaming. Why? Because simply upgraded graphics and physics and AI etc wasn't enough to appeal to me. There needed to be a new way to interact with games and Nintendo stepped up to the plate in that department.
I respecfully disagree. I think the Wii already has a better library than the PS3/360 simply because I am more into puzzle games and games that push innovation through the use of the Wii remote such as games like Zack and Wiki, Elebits, Wario Ware, and Metroid Prime 3.
99% chance I'm going to check this game out. What is the release date on this?
Whoever thought such a notable, innovative company such as Sony would do such a thing especially when motion controlls is just a fad.
For those who are slow I was being sarcastic.
