C'mon fanboys. Say how you think the Wii sucks, how you don't play with it anymore - it's collecting dust, Nintendo abandoned the core gamer, it's just a fad, it's for grandmas or some variation of these complaints.
it doesnt not have games with blood everywhere and big guns to shoot people and aliens, i want to blow things up! And the grafx suks! Real games is where you soot people. you guys are just dumb.
I will definitely get this game if it gets at least decent review scores.
Finally, a third party game that takes full advantage of the Wii interface and not full of mini games.
The days of developers catering to "hardcore" gamers which make up a small percentage of the gaming population is over. Well, there are still going to cater to hardcore gamers but much less so in the future.
Companies that have concentrated on big bugdet games to target a very narrow graphic of 14 - 25 males has put them in financial trouble. For instance, Midway (Midway closes Austin studio, reduces total workforce by 25%.) , Atari/Infogrames (Atari ousts board of di...
I expect the game to be announced in 2009.
Oh the myth that Wii Third Party software doesn't sell well still persists. Why oh why don't people do research before spouting nonsense? Well, time to debunk the myth... again.

"the first 20 months on the market for each console the Wii comparatively sold several million more units of third-party software in the U.S. ...
Of course they are in competition. Is the Wii in DIRECT competition with PS3 and 360 as 360 is to PS3? No. But in competition nevertheless. Moreover, things are not so black and white. There are both "casual" and "core" gamers on the Wii. How else did Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil: UC, Zelda, Red Steel, and Metroid Prime 3 become million sellers? And there are also "casual" gamers on the 360 and PS3. How else did Guitar Hero and Rockband sell so well?

Ocarina of Time is such a great game because of the gameplay and the game had a sense of balance and newness. It was a very innovative game in its time. If he can push boundaries with the next Zelda then I believe it may be a great game. Better than Ocarina of Time? I doubt it though.
The best video game news story I have read for the past month.
In my opinion Ocarina of Time is the greatest video game ever. The game is revolutionary and the pinnacle of video gaming. If one game exemplifies art it is Ocarina of Time.
I say good luck with trying to surpass it. At least he has set high standards.
The Wii is a chick magnet. Can't beat that.
If you are implying Nintendo is limiting supply purposely then you are wrong, sir.
Think about it. The Wii is the fastest selling console ever (that's a fact) and Nintendo has increased production more than 3x. With that knowledge how in the world are they limiting supply to keep demand high?
When you think ahead and go against the grain and innovate you get rewarded with big sales. The Big 3 auto companies failed to think ahead and that's why they are begging the government for a handout.
For people who call themselves hardcore they sure act like a bunch of whinning babies.
The Wii hasn't failed me. There are a lot of garbage games for it but there are also a lot of gems.
As for motion controls not living up to expectations, I disagree. Sure in a lot of games it feels tacked on, but in some games is brings a totally new gameplay experience. Motion controls works brilliantly in games such as WarioWare, Elebits, Zack and Wiki, and No More Heroes. Le...

Judging from the posts I have been reading on this site for a while it sure seems so.
I am not going to make a post defending Wii Music or tearing down your anti-Wii Music rants. I will say that you guys are pretty much irrevelant in the bigger scheme of things. You can complain all you want but Wii Music will still sell 1 million +. And many of the "non-gamers" and kids and even some hardcore gamers will have fun playing it.
That said you guys need to ...
They hardly don't get anything that's novel. Hardcore gamers are very narrowminded.
It doesn't matter if they don't get it or not. This game will sell millions regardless. Who are they when Miyamoto has been creating hits before most of them were even born?
It's one of the most innovative games ever. And it appealed to a lot of non-gamers. Probably more so than any other game. Wii Sports will probably be in more homes than any other game in history.
Give the Wii time. Third parties will start releasing their AAA games for it as they were late to jump on the Wii bandwagon (whoever thought the Wii would be so popular?). It will be like the DS... in it's third year it had a lot of great third party games.
Review numbers? Huh? The vast majority of gamers don't read reviews especially from reviewers who are as narrow-minded as you are. To most reviewers Cooking Mama is garbage but to others it is a treasure. Maybe if you got off your high horse you would see that there are games that are fun to people that doesn't involve fancy graphics and violence. That many people find the "waggle" fun and the accessibility and simplicity appealing.
Oh, and you can keep wishing the 36...
2009 is going to be one awesome year for Wii for both casual, hardcore and between gamers. Seriously, I think the Wii-motion plus thing is going to seriously revolutionize gaming forever.
Wii-domination for 2009!
