It also works pretty well if they are indeed planning for multiple versions:
- Xbox Series X: Base model.
- Xbox Series A: Cheaper model with some cut features.
- Xbox Series Y: Mid-gen Upgrade.
That looks terrible.
They don't have the people make ports though. Falcom is a small indie studio that is normally working in two massive projects simultaneously. That is why they need NIS, XSeed and Aksys Games to port and localize their titles.
For games that don't work that well with a traditional controller (think Civilization, Divinity: Original Sin I & II, Pillars of Eternity, etc....), this controller works great and is a far better option that anything else other than keyboard & mouse. For anything else though? It varies between "this is fine" and "omg why I'm doing this to myself".
1. Classic Mode.
Sure, I can agree with that. I like the new design, but it's true that a lot of folks prefer the older one.
2. Bring Back Flash Sales
Not going to happen. Even back then, people had mixed feelings about those sales. Sure the discount was bigger, but that meant that most users would wait until the end of the sale in hope that their desired tittle got into a flash deal while others would rage because they lost the de...
@DarXyde: "You might have a point if we were not talking about Google. If they are serious about market penetration, they should and could ask for major startup subsidies from Google/ Alphabet proper."
It's actually the opposite, I'm only bringing this point up because we are talking about Google.
The company that put their fingers in as many pies as possible and kill the products that they deem not viable enough without any regret. I'm prett...
What would the PS5 even do with cartridges? For retail games it would be terrible expensive as current titles are massive in file size. For storage expansion it would be a cool design, but as far as the consumer is concerned it would be better if it uses generic Sata or M.2 SSDs as those would much likely be cheaper.
@Ripsta7th
You will not need those to use Stadia itself. The only requirement is Chrome and a "potato computater".
However for TV and Smartphone play things are different. Because you will need a chromecast ultra and the controller at least until Google offer support for more devices.
Yes, however Stadia also have that free tier coming up next year. And once that is available, the only thing that the user will pay for is the games. Therefore those higher prices are most likely necessary for the viabiliy of the platform.
I still think is not a particular good deal for most people - myself included. But if you are one of the few that don't have any sort of console and uses a "Potato PC". Stadia will be the cheaper option available. That said...
The argument is that as the game is free, having Crossplay motivates more people to download it in order to play with their friends that are on another platform. So people that wouldn't play it before are now playing it, thus inflating the player base.
Personally I'm surprised that the game is keeping up with such a big player base for so long. Because at least at launch, it was a rather monotonous game with not much in terms of variety.
I thought it was fine for the most part, but it is indeed one of the worse games in the franchise.
The Gamepad as Camera Obscura was a match made in heaven, but they kind of dropped the ball on the controls, they are clunky and the enemies move about to much to make it confortable to play with the Gamepad. They kept that garbage ghost hand that is more annoying than anything, but at least we got a sprint button that was way past due.
The environments also...
If you never played the original then this remake is actually a pretty solid game. But for it pales in comparison to the 2000 PC version in every single aspect (music, visuals, flow, etc...). I really wish that they port the classic to modern computers one of this days. Technically speaking the 2000 version still works, but it requires a lot of tinkering from the part of the user.
That is definitely not good. If the drift is indeed caused by the poor quality contacts, them the Lite is bound to inherit it. For now that is not that big of a deal as Nintendo is fixing them for free in a lot of countries.
However it pretty much makes the Lite the worst option in the long run. As once the console as whole is discontinued, fixing this model will become a hassle.
As long as they don't make a game that happens between 3 and 4. That makes the last a direct sequel in my books.
But sure call it a sequel that uses previous established plot points, characters and world building if you prefer.
I feel there is a lot to take into account with this release. First the obvious is that the game is also available on Game Pass PC, where I assume most people actually got theirs from (it's at least were I got mine from). Then there is also the fact that Gears 5 is a direct sequel of a game that is not avaiable on Steam and not only that but Gears 4 is a sequel to a game that is not avaiable at all on PC. So the interest in any game on the franchise would already be lower than what we wou...
SE can be rather lazy at times, so I would not be suprised if the censorship was because of Sony. But they just extended it to all versions because that would be easier.
However we will only know for sure once the game is released.
Every console is pretty worth to get in it's final years. Because not only you will be getting the last revision of the hardware, you will pay less for the console itself and will be able to find good deals for the games.
Well, there is also the folks like myself that couldn't care less about Kunio as a franchise. But got draw to this particular title thanks to it's art style and the fact that is being developed by WayForward.
In any case I also hope that it sells well.
The difference is that Dreams and MediEvil were never listed while Death Stranding was and then got removed. Personally I think it is only a mistake, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if ended up being a case of Epic paying huge amounts of money to get it as a "EGS exclusive".
I'm always impressed how slow Epic is to update their store with basic features. They are not a small company if anything they are bigger than Valve. But it will took them more than a year to implement a simple thing like a "wishlist".
At least we will have coupons. Because apparently throwing money around is the anything that they are competent at.
