Yeap. That one was even more of a joke if you ask me. Though the games were pretty good, the way they are straight up emulation and available for a limited time is just sad.
Really doubt they would get much ground with that. As PC Gamers are likely the most patient people around. However that would make them some money on a platform where they have no base and that itself would be a win for Sony.
On one hand. It's a surprising result giving that it was a overpriced joke of port. But on the other. It was a first party Playstation game, so people were very excited to see it on PC.
Hopefully that result will bring more games to the platform with a little more care given to the port process.
I mean. After Zenimax I wouldn't be surprised. But I don't think that we are going to see any other large acquisition any time soon.
For the vast majority of PC Gamers not much have changed. Well, other than the fact that now we can expect more titles for cheap on the Game Pass. And to be honest is sort of looking back at the past when Bethesda/id games would mostly only grace PC and the OG Xbox.
For the small few that uses Linux it might come with some not nice repercusions. But that is speculation for now.
Yeah, this is not exacly news. The worst controls was a given as they are more or less retrofitting the console commands to PC.
But the article does mention some other weird stuff. Like the removal of simple features like bushes being affected by grenades. Yes, the original console version also don't have it. However being a remaster and all, they could have implemented.
In your country that maybe the true. But in mine the PSN prices are nothing but a bad joke in comparison to physical media. For example if today I decide to buy TLOU 2 the difference between the price of digital and physical media is about 30%.
I would go with they are for different needs. The biggest advantage of the Series S is pairing it up with a Game Pass subscription and basically make it a subscription box. Meanwhile the PS5D have all the hardware of the original console minus the possibility of playing physical media.
My main issue with both systems is that if you are planning to buy games for them. You are going to deal with only one option for stores. One that normally feature much less deals and ask f...
@olivier1
Do you understand how regional pricing work? Clearly no.... And unfortunately a lot of publisher don't get it either.
I expect it to cost the same as a Switch Pro Controller. More than that I find hard to believe.

It was a small difference as you guys are trying to imply. Than Microsoft would have make that choice in the first place. And even if we are talking about as little as $1 between each cable that piles up really well when you factor the millions of units that they are going to ship.
Do I agree with they inclusion of a old standard cable? No, but it's pretty clear why they made that call.
Rumors say that they dropped HBM2. But given how "bad" the Radeon VII got with age. I don't think that is much of a loss.
Look pretty cool, though not as much as the GTX 3000 founders edition.
Likely to cut down on cost. Each 1.4 HDMI cable should be cheaper than a 2.1 HDMI. And once you factor the millions of units that will be shipped. Those savings add-up quite nicely. Bearing in mind that the S Series is reportedly going to be sold at a greater loss than the Series X. It is likely that Microsoft is trying to cut costs where possible.
For us consumers is sort of a annoyance. And most casual users will not even now that they need a better cable for HDR - fortun...
If you only have Game Pass for consoles then yes you have to pay for the Live Gold. If you are playing using the cloud then Live Gold is already part of the subscription.
As far as bang for the buck goes. Game Pass Ultimate is really the way to go (Game Pass for both console and PC + Live Gold + Cloud) for $5 more than the base Game Pass.
I was wondering about that as well. Luminous is technically a new studio and they really struggle to make Final Fantasy XV a presentable product. To the point that they ended the game with a literal book, because DLC got canceled. So them developing two games at the same is hard to believe and a bit concerning.
It would make more sense if Athia is indeed FFXVI. But then why reveal it as Athia just to a couple of months later go back and say that it's actually the new F...

I must have hit a extra ")" when I posted. Though you might got it wrong from my original post. This link does not have a match between SX vs PC. It's only about the PC version if multiple GPUs being tested. Their conclusion is this: "Even with its stunning visuals (some maps do look less impressive) performanc...
"So not RTX2080Ti performance, then."
Their conclusion about ONE game with a two weeks old code. Indeed was that the GPU of a Xbox Series X is somewhere around a 2080. But you can yourself look for benchmarks of how well Gears 5 run on a RTX 2080 TI and you form a broader opinion that is not based on a single source.
"They emphasised that the code was two weeks work and Series X had other settings, but also that PC ran fixed resolution whe...
Teraflops don't really work like that. When you are comparing completely different architectures they just lose all meaning. But in any case what I'm impressed by is how much of a value proposition that translate into the real world.
I recall the original with very fondly memories. And the new sprites as scenes shown for this one. Make it clear that they are trying to keep what made original great. And that is fantastic.
