Interesting. Given how different the first Xbox hardware was when compared to the PS2. I don't think it helped much if anything in regards to development. Though it might have helped in the form factor? As both devices are bulk in comparison to previous consoles and the Gamecube.
I think is much more than that. Because when you take into account everything that Nintendo would need to make it desirable and the current situation in the world. The end product become much more expensive than their previous offers.
First, they have this huge issue with licensing. As they don't own half the games that made the N64 excellent. In addition they have a big problem with their in-house games as many of them depended on multiplayer. Series like Mario Kart, M...
This is something that will vary greatly between people. From my anectodal experience there is those that found it to be a disappointment because it was often not 4K. Others though it was a worth upgrade, but nothing amazing. Meanwhile a third group found it to be the only PS4 version that was worth it given how much better games runned on it in comparison to the base model.
As a PC gamer I would love a Xbox Controller with a touchpad. Though I assume that they mean features like the triggers in this. I'm not really that interested in given the lack of support and the fact that most games that would use it, I would likely be playing with a Keyboard anyway.
That said a improvement that would be nice to have is a rechargeable battery pack in the package.
Yeah, they are not going to change engines just for a Switch port. That is not happening.
We will see.
I really wanted more companies to try bring their games to mobile. Is not more a issue with hardware, as a lot of the market is already rocking devices much more powerful than something like the Switch. But a issue with the market and that can only be fixed with more games.
Shame is still going to take years for us to start seeing games developed in the engine. Given that it's still going into preview in next couple of months.
At least 1/3 of those sales where only in Japan according to another Atlus press release. So yes, it was higher than Atlus expectations but it could have been much more successful globally.
That will be interesting. Kingdom Come is a somewhat heavy game and not that well optimized.
That is kind funny actually. Because this game have ZERO sexual content whatsoever. The only think that spark this sort of controversy is the visual style.
Now the game itself I can't really recommend. I bought on release (PC) and had to ask for a refund because it just didn't work. I heard the developer eventually patched it. But I haven't tried myself. So I would at least wait for some reviews.
And I'm pointing out that is not caused by taxes. It is caused by Sony using much higher margins in the Digital version than not only the normal one but also any of the other consoles in the market. Hence why I hope that India get a better deal.
I don't think you are understanding.
If you are from Brazil you will end up paying 18% more if you buy the PS5 Digital in the country than if you just import it yourself and pay all the taxes on it. The Series S is essentially sold at a loss because if you try to do the same you will end up paying more than what Microsoft is officially charging in the country. That is why in Brazil the PS5 Digital is just terrible value.
While that is true. I'm specifically addressing the terrible value proposition of the digital edition. That will cost you about 18% more to buy in the country than if you just import the console yourself. A phenomenon that only happens with that version of the console. The S Series is essentially sold at a loss. Meanwhile the Series X and "PS5 normal" have much more acceptable 6% up cost on average.
And that is aggravated by the fact that Digital version of t...
I hope they get a better deal on the consoles than other in development countries. Especially on the digital edition that is at a terrible value in countries like Brazil.
I never played the original. So I can't really say how much will be lost in this remake. As being developed for consoles will obviously remove any adult content of the original. Though being a Type-Moon VN is rather likely that said adult content was pretty unimportant in the original as well.
So it's probably not going to end up being another YU-NO. However would be nice if together with the remake they also made the original easier to get.
It doesn't really. Because the issue is not the developer. Is the amount of money and time that said developer have. Genshin is a $100 M, 400 person and 3 years in development tittle with marketing deals everywhere that make a lot of AAA look more like Indies. And it's not even complete. Having at best 2/7 of the total game available today.
Hard to think of a publisher that would invest that amount of money and time in Avatar of all things.
Shame that is unlikely to be available outside Japan. Thanks to the music licensing.
I think the issue is the platform. Being on the PS4 only really hurts the potential player base and more important the potential creators.
Indeed a solid 30 fps most of the time. The resolution docked is also not that bad. Being a bit over 720p. Undocked though it's about the resolution of a Vita, so I assume it will look great on the Lite.
