Another important point is that Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance only managed to get the 23º spot and that was on its release week. Putting it out of the 20 top sold games and behind many "old releases" that dominated the top 10.
So while we don't have the concrete numbers. Everything point out to it actually not moving many copies at all in the UK.
I think they should just keep modernizing their old IPs. Pong Quest is a pretty fun and solid title. While Tempest 4000 is a good come back for the franchise.
So if they keep with things like that. I could see they becoming a interesting player in what they call "premium" games. Even if a fairly small one.
I mean the article itself mentions some of the games that are going to enter Game Pass as well. So "iplay1up2" comment is not exactly off.
"It's slated to get even more games in the months to come too, whether that be the Xbox Series X/S port of Microsoft Flight Simulator or Turtle Rock Studios' co-op zombie game Back 4 Blood, which will be available on the service the day it launches".
Unless you only read the title of couse....
Well two of those were most likely Embracer and Tencent. But I do find interested that the latter wanted to buy Housemarque. As they appear to be more content owning a piece of the pie than buying studios outright.
They did prove that they can craft a good atmosphere if they try with The Observer. Their problem is always the gameplay aspect of things. So I feel they would be more suitable for a support role here, crafting set pieces for another studio like Tango Gameworks.
In any case though. Is not like Silent Hill is a particularly consistent stellar franchise. We like to only remember the good ones by Team Silent. But the true is that at it this point the series has seen worse than...
If they can get the price right and have Rare onboard. I could see it being pretty nice.
Though personally I would be much more interested in any of the other 5th generation console (minus the Playstation for obvious reasons). As something like a Saturn, Jaguar, 3DO or even the PC-FX would be more useful as far less people had those.
From Nintendo themselves. I feel a GB/GBA Mini would be much cooler as well.
I can see that happening as well. Though I wish that it didn't.
Yeah... you can totally forget about those entries that got delisted because of licensing issues. Those are not happening.
I mean they were already basically a Playstation studio. If we look at their last 10 releases I think something like 7 or 8 of them are PS exclusives. So the acquisition make sense.
Plus now that they have a safety net. Maybe they can revisit the "arcade genre" that they had proclaimed to be dead in 2017.
It probably does work. Genshin Impact for example support it.
Big issue with iOS is that to my knowledge you can't really force a game to support controllers like you can on Android. At least you couldn't unless it was a jailbreaked model.
To be fair they might just be covering themselves. The Switch is already a 5 years old device and Eiyuden Chronicle is scheduled for 2023. When the Switch will complete 7 years of market.
And given Nintendo history it's very likely that there will be a sucessor by that point.
I would assume that we are at that point in the generation where there isn't really much going on with the newer consoles. So people are trying to find things to validate their existence.
What is rather dumb if ask me. As that is going to happen eventually anyway.
It would make sense. As Arc System Works do make most of their games to the Playstation familly of consoles and now that Sony has EVO they are likely wanting something produced "internally" for the events. It would be a shame for Arc System Works though as they have finally striked gold with their own franchises on PC having bothing the last BlazBlue and the last Guilty Gear having at least half of their total sales there according to the last estimates.
But havin...
It's likely because the maps wouldn't work with less players and the bots do guaranteed that it's always going to be full. Just hope that matchs with 128 real people are possible (as in there is no "reserved slots" for bots) and that new people will be able to join matches substituting the boys already inside it.
I would be lying if I said that what they showed on E3 was impressive. And being online only don't do it any favors. Hope there is at least a demo to try before buying it.
It's your traditional flair of american military propaganda but with a chinese flavor. I really recommend that you watch it. I think you can rent it on Amazon for like $4.
@bradfh
@MetalGearsofWar
The difference is floor/celling though. If someone from a developed country is abusing this system to pay less for games that they can't afford the issue lies with the person themselves. They live in a place where the surrounding circumstances allow them to have leeway to afford games for their original price. For example the US minimum wage is around U$15,080 while in a place like Brazil it is U$2,671. And even if you take into accoun...
Plz tell me it's a propaganda movie like wolf warrior. That would be amazingly funny.
The issue is how you would do that.
If you make every country price based on the lower income regions. The average profit for a new game will go down tenfold, console manufacturers would go nuts with the difference princing for PC versions and while that represent very little now. Brick and mortar stores would refuse to carry the game.
If you make every country price based on the higher income regions. Sales would go down and piracy would rise in the lowe...
The OLED screen is nice and the Ethernet Port is a good addition. But the other upgrades are just so pitiful... Personally I don't think it is worth the extra $50 that they are asking over the normal Switch.
