I mean it's Atlus.
One would think that Persona 4 Golden would have gotten a console version together with the PC one. And if not for all consoles at least a Switch release.
So, yeah. I'm betting on nothing.
I'm betting on nothing.
It's Atlus after all.
Yes, that was what I was hoping when they announced that they would be going back to traditional games.
Atari's strength really lies in their back catalog and in reinventing those games. It worked pretty well with Missile Command Recharged and Pong Quest. And this one look like it's going to be solid as well.
Obviously that by law they have the right to take the game down.... And that is exactly why if someone is doing a fan project using one of their IPs they should only reveal the game when it is complete. Because at that point it doesn't matter if Nintendo take the game down. As the internet itself will not forget it.
Just like it happened with Pokemon Uranium, AM2R and many others. Yes, they got taken down. But it doesn't matter because people can still find and pla...
Never played Soul Nomad. But Phantom Brave is really good albeit a bit dated in the visual department.
Not so sure of the $40 price tag. As PB at least was $10 for the longest time on PC. However assuming that SN is about the same size as PB. Then one can easily get 100h of entertainment out of this collection.
The issue is not really making nor distributing fan-made games with their IP. It's announcing before it's finished.
Though this demo is really solid. So I hope the developers just re-skin it and sell it as a new IP. Because there is a lot of potential there.
@Neonridr
Is not a issue with the system finding out if you completed the game or not. Is the definition of completed that don't fit all games the same way.
@AlexMuncatchy
But that is not the exception to the rule. There a lot of PC games that would have the exactly same issue. The whole catalog from Paradox and Amplitude Studios for example by their own nature wouldn't work with the idea of "completion". Not alone at le...
Refunds are processed automatically. So it is impossible to use a metric like "completion" to issue them. As it would cripple bigger games and make users vulnerable to shady developers with short games. Just think about it. A game like Civilization can take literally hundreds of hours to get to the "half". And a shady developer may put a "half complete flag" of their game in the first 5 minutes.
The only real solution for a game like this. Is ...
That is really cool.
I recall playing and failing a lot on this game back in the PSONE era.
@GOULDYBOBS
More of the same? It is a completely different take of the 3D Mario formula. Going for a open world with environmental changes.
I agree that the price shouldn't be $60. But saying that it is more of the same. Is very disingenuous.
Bowser's Fury is a complete new thing though. And albeit it is small and short. It is a ridiculous fun time.
“We’re already looking ahead to the future because we believe this is a product line that will have a long life, so of course we’re thinking about what would we build next, and we’re starting to make plans in those directions. But there is not a design for Steam Deck 2, but we’re thinking along those lines and having conversations already about where would we draw the line for our next iteration of the device.”
This is really terrible.
The screen it's just not fit for emulators and the G95 is not powerful enough for most of the popular Android games with decent performance. Plus it is using a smarphone screen with even the punch-hole for the camera present. So as far as size goes. People are better just getting a controller for their own smartphone.
Yes, it is going to have burn-in.
That is just the nature of a OLED screen. Even more if Nintendo don't implement something on software level that "shake" static images like HUDs.
It is going to be a huge problem? I assume not. Most likely it's going to end up like the Vita's screen where you can normally only see the burn in when you actively look for it.
It's not all about GPU.
But you right that the SD's GPU and the much faster LPDDR5 memory will give better performance in most cases.
I really want to see this coming to the market because it's something rather unique. But I don't see actual place in the market for it. And I'm pretty sure it is going to flop hard.
Would love a Atomic Purple one.

It's a trade really. At that size a 800p screen is perfect as it allow the APU to really do its best. While also not taxing the battery too much. But for media consumption it is indeed lacking.
That said. If you want to go the other route. As in a device that priorize media consumption first and gaming later. While at a similar form factor. The Onexplayer is a option with its 8.4" / 2.5k Screen.
It run Linux. And you can install whatever OS that you want.
It is a PC.
Shame that they went with Bluetooth. The market really need more offerings that use a direct usb connection.
Also €99.90 is a tad too much. Nacon's quality has always being great but this is a ridiculously basic device.
