A 2280 slot?

Yes the fan will still likely make some noise. But given it's huge size and that of the heat sink it will likely be a very very quiet noise.

Additionally because power input is relatively static and the flow of electricity is what generates the most heat the system will likely be no louder than my ultra fat gaming laptop which is like 1/4 as loud as my launch model PS4 under maximum load (I could of course make my laptop about 50% louder than my launch model PS4 by arti...

I appreciate PS5's less than personally appealing outsides because those insides are so darn amazing and that's what really counts anyway!

Sounds like a divert not an answer also know that some of these journalists are too stupid to follow embargo and that is likely where the rumors are coming from.
That said these are rumors and it is possible they exist to make Microsoft look bad when this isn't the case.
Time will tell if the rumors are right or not.

Turn on English subtitles?
Yes the side panels are user accessible.
The fan might not be but the panels are removable because the User is able to add M.2 memory.

Uh.... So
There are still hotkeys that you need to assign for shadow play and OBS does the same thing without a RTX card... You just launch OBS before starting a game.
I've recorded gameplay at 4K60 (in games that don't decimate CPU performance) for a year now and on a laptop at that! Granted this is only applicable when the games performance is 60FPS or above anyway and that end a GTX 1070 (in my laptop) isn't running many games at 4K60, but when I can run a gam...

Gamification at 60FPS.
Awsome motion blur at 30FPS is just more familiar to my eye. 60FPS is great on PC, but I think lower FPS only looks jarring because PC monitors have ultrafast refresh and gray-to-gray, speeds but on PC I really want 60 and on console (attached to a tv) I never have a problem with 30 and the difference between 30 and 60 is insignificant to my eye.

Hope this gets a PS5 patch well worth playing on PS4 and upgrading on PS5 for NG+. I'll still play it again on PS5 (even though PS4 saves transfer to PS5).

@ooquis
"So weird no one talks about GOT load times??? It's remarkable."
RIGHT!
We ended up seeing PS5-lite loading on PS4 with GoT. Also Driveclub.
No one talks about it because it makes the competition look bad.
Though it does make me wonder how much faster PS4 Pro compatibility mode loading will be on PS5 when playing GoT on it from the internal or external V-NAND?

They should've built a brand new version of the game for next generation hardware including modern PC hardware configurations.
They shouldn't be relying on the original source code for anything other than where to place the new assets in the new version.
We can clearly see what happens when a developer relies too heavily on their old software.

1981d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

No. I'll blame that on the fact that the game is a complete remake (being called a remaster) with new unlockables and trophies.
Nice try though oh and Miles Morales saves transfer from the PS4 to PS5 version just fine. So it's definitely not a PS5 issue it has more to do with the developer the and/or the games save data itself.

As mentioned the file structure of the new PS5 Marvel's Spider-Man is probably too different (because the game adds in some new...

A severe non-issue we don't know the situation with most of these cross gen games save data support and yet these 2 and now apparently 3 games are to define PS5's capabilities?
What? What does cross-save support have to do with hardware capabilities? Also the fanboys are clearly ignoring any game which we know will allow PS4 to PS5 cross-save support like Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It's likely Sackboy's big adventure and many more PS4/5 cross-gen games wi...

Oh yes it's only Sony...
Wait do we know if Witcher III saves will cross the generational divide yet?
Oh right. There are so many titles that are being ported which haven't had this particular detail ironed out but you're concerned that Sony's messaging is poor when CDPR, EA, Ubi, Activision and many more developers haven't detailed these things for next-gen?

Color me unconvinced.

Precisely.
People keep bringing up Dirt 5 but ignore games like FIFA 21: https://gadgets.ndtv.com/ga...
Also it's curious how we don't yet know whether Maneater saves will transfer to XSX yet (unless that is on Twitter, but not on the "game journalists" radar).

This is definitely a fanboy issue...

I didn't hear anyone complaining that Red Faction Guerilla: Re-Marstered forced users to make new saves on PC! This an issue across generations because it helps fuel the fanboys.

The thing is they only worked on some games.
OG PS/1 saves worked for those PS Classics downloaded via PSN, but PS2 remasters didn't play nicely with native PS2 save data. In the same vein Medieval's PS1 save files don't work on the PS4 versions PS1 emu.

Basically a new game means new save data. This is only really confusing to a total idiots.
As for Dirt 5 I couldn't tell you why XSX may allow save transfers from XO/S/X and PS5 won't t...

@King-Noctis
So the remaster of Marvel's Spider-Man with all new game trophies and unlockables won't allow save transfers over while Miles Morales which is a new game made to be cross-gen will.

Are you seriously confused as to why that is?

The GBA SP doesn't have a built in clock that consumes battery while it is idle.
The PS Vita does however and so do all N/2/3DS models. My Vita is charged every 6-8 months my 3DS' are treated similarly. The SP is still rocking its original 2001 battery and still running 10-11 hours per charge. Crazy how my stuff has lasted that long. I do charge the SP once a year. On the otherhand one of my PSP batteries only lasts a few weeks even with a full charge. So weird how that works...

@SPEAKINGxTHExTRUTH
So these companies just pull money out of thin air now? Where are all these people twisting your arm to get the remaster?
If you don't want the PS5 version... don't buy it. It's really that simple. For the people like myself that want to see these improvements (and who didn't get the DLC for the original) it's a nice excuse to double dip on the game while getting a brand new game in addition to the remaster of a game they thoroughly en...
