Tell me exactly how Horizon Forbidden West look like it's being held back by PS4? Please be specific.

Agreed both PS5 and Xbox Series X are suffering from extreme shortages. What really chaps my hide is that if this happened to Nintendo Switch where all stock was online only then Switch would probably start winding up in the same boat. And then what would happen? Would we start seeing a change?

The ROI was much less than making the original PS4 game because all they did was port it to PC. So the money spent was far less the time spent was about a year instead of 10 and the amount of units sold was less than 1 million units in a month out of a billion users and the game was released on Steam and Epic.
Even so their ROI was only 250+% not 300+% not 800+% just 250+% for 1 year of work and around a million units sold out of a massive installed base.
That's a HORRIB...
But you know what it probably won't even sell well if it were released on PC. If the rumors are true and UC4 comes to PC and sells like crap. What incentive will PS devs have to release games Day-1?

To be real with you, in the past 25 years (and I can't even believe it's been that long) the only Mario games that jump out at me are Super Mario World on SNES (or the "enhanced" GBA version) and Super Mario 64 on Nintendo 64 (just the N64 version). The gliding and grappling in R&C is much less like that which is in Hcorizon Forbidden West than in Just Cause. Mind you that franchise also predates The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, but no Nintendo fanboy journalist will ever admit that to themselves.

1. Who really needs 1440p support? It is only an inconvenience not a real problem but sure I guess XS gets a tiny w there.
2. PS5 has external HDD/SSD support for archive purposes and you can run PS4 games from this media too.
3. PS has a Reward card and has had one for a few years now as well as Sony Rewards Program.

CBOMB isn't even the same kind of issue especially on PS5. On PS4 CBOMB is apparently a genuine nightmare.
Xbox 360, One and Series systems need to be activated online with an Xbox Live account just to work, full stop. This isn't the case with PlayStation 4 or PS5.

PS4 was pretty draconian.
PS5 let up significantly being even less draconian than PS4. CBOMB doesn't have the same effect on PS4 or PS5 physical media based on a video made by Spawn Wave who I'd say was more Nintendo centric for a while.

True, but PS5 does give you that outlet and CBOMB on PS5 doesn't effect disc-based content on PS5 nor does it effect PS4 disc-based content.

That raising of game prices is paying developers ways and from what I'm seeing PlayStation's 1st party developers mist definitely do deserve it. Sure that door is open for every publisher to abuse that $10 price hike and they unfortunately will, then it is up to you as the consumer to actually bite down and NOT BUY THEIR •••• GAMES!
