Ask Apple users. Oh, wait. They don't care, nor do current Xbox, PS, and Nintendo gamers. So, this isn't a barrier.
Just remember that the people who created Killzone killed Killzone by choice.
It is also the shareholders that are pushing this and for some reason open free stock trading comes with strings attached like satisfying the needs of investors over the customers companies are actually trying to appeal to.
Everyone forgets the latest to enter the GAAS domain is PS. Nintendo even had Splatoon, but no one wants to talk about these comparisons honestly.
Honest question. Do you even read what you've written before clicking "ADD"?
RedFall was a mess and a worse mess. Even, though the game is still playable and less broken the online servers are gone because it was about as big a failure as Concord. PS pulled the ripcord on Firewalk early. This indicates to me that they saw significant losses and with no clear way to move forward in another direction. This is PS' worst game ever in a lot of ways, but it wasn't a broken mess at launch like RedFall.
Your argument and sources suggest that Concord cost PlayStation only what Firewalk Studios cost to acquire as Firewalk already raised $250 million to start developing Concord. So, if any or all of that funding changed hands to PS during acquisition of Firewalk, PS only paid for the studio and marketing of Concord. That was probably less than $150 million in total.
So, thanks for that information.
It was probably still a little less than this. $180-190 million considering the extended development timeframe, but $200 million number isn't as far off the actual cost of the game. The acquisition of Firewalk is what brings the price up and as the article mentions we don't know what that was, but it was probably less then $100 million considering the studio hadn't made a game at that point.
People won't be allowed to say mean things about the Xbox anymore. We all know you like that.
This will actually only hurt Xbox and MS though, as they are typically the ones purchasing good will.
Less to do with greed and more to do with overwhelming control at this point. Many just convince you they are good and pound anyone who says otherwise into the dirt. It might help them make money in the short term, but eventually people will figure it out. The thing is that greed didn't force this, human egos forced this. Corporations are run by people, people with loads of cash and too many of those in leadership have chips on their shoulders these days. Everyone is trying to change the ...
Steam has DRM. If you don't know what that means... then you are an idiot.
Or you can also back them up. Some things on PSN are gone for good like the P.T. demo. If you didn't make a back up of that game... it's gone and can not be re-downloaded. I don't think PSN has outright deleted any other title and P.T. being a demo, it was free to everyone didn't cost anyone anything after it was removed from PSN. That is also probably why they felt it was fine to delete it like that.
@just_looken
I also tested savegame file copying myself on PS3 official firmware version 4.91 and it worked as the manual stated. This feature works very similarly on PS4.
Only PS5 is more restrictive. I don't know if any PSP games had copy protected savegame data but as I said some PS2 did at least when played on PS2 HW. That meant you couldn't copy some PS2 savegame data to another PS2 memory card inserted into the PS2 console even if there was enough spa...
@just_looken
This feature was not removed on PS3. It worked on all FW versions since launch. You just need a compatible USB drive or HDD to get it to work. Basically any USB drive between 32MB to 64GB will work and any supported HDD.
Why do people lie about this? Also from the PS3 official online manual:
"Copying saved data to storage media (making a backup)
Data that was saved to the system storage can be exported to storage media,...
You can just in bulk only as a back-up where we were able to do this per game on PS3 and on PS4 so long as the game save wasn't copy-protected. Some PS2 games also had save game copy limitations. This was true of some games on PS3 and PS4. In those cases you could still back up those saves on PS3 and PS4 by doing a back-up. On PS4 you could choose to back up just save files like on PS5. The major difference on PS5 is as I wrote earlier, you can only back up save game data by creating a ba...
@Frosty
Uh... The new PS5 slim and Pro drives need to be activated to work with the system and that activation does take place by connecting to an online service.
@harv052
Then you should have access to the Welcome Hub. It replaces the Explore Tile in the US or will appear to the immediate left of the first game on your home screen.
@CobraKai
A PS5 remake of Killzone 1 with all the visual splendor of PS4 on roids thanks to PS5 at something approaching 4K at 60FPS with RT would be sick, especially since that game originally was not exactly a looker back on the PS2.
Am I missing something? What did Grievous misspell?
The MAWLR set-piece in Killzone 3 is probably one of the top 10 most epic playable scenes in videogame history to date! Of course, Guerilla out did themselves with the Horus battle capping off Horzizon Forbidden West's Burning Shores DLC.
