I remember such games on PS Vita, PS4, and PS5 were free. But let's forget about the competition, the 3DS also had free AR games. I guess even Nintendo forgot about that! Oh well.
Maybe I'm out of the loop on a certain class of micro-computers that are less than 0.6" thick that include NVMe drives?
Do you have any examples of portable electronics of that thickness including NVMe bays this that don't have Apple Inc. prices attached to them?

Switch 2's body thickness 13mm (0.55 inches). When the drive alone takes up ⅓ the thickness of the system and requires some way of keeping cool on top of it, you might be seeing why they went with Express cards which to be fair might have their own thermal solutions, we'll have to wait to see a teardown of the Switch 2...
At least you can run PS4 games from any drive on PS5. Why didn't Nintendo allow this? Your guess is as good as anyone else's.

No one is asking exactly what games will manage 1440p120 or 4K60? No one is asking why most of the trailers, including a couple from Nintendo first parties, didn't say they were running on real HW or even in-engine? Of the games they showed only Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza looked intriguing on a mechanical level. You'd think not shifting the 3DS at $250 would teach them... but then we had 5 years of Wii U. 11 million units... in 5 years! 3DS was where their bread was buttered and that drove them to Switch things up. See what I did there? Anyway, if the Switch 2 jingles things up too much, there is no backstop for Nintendo they're all-in full-steam-ahead on Switch 2, no take backs, no do overs.

We tried to warn them with Wii U, but the NintenDIEHARDs didn't get the memo then, they won't get it now. Unfortunately for them the 3DS and Wii U both exposed just how irrelevant Nintendo really is in the global and Japanese gaming market. It's strange that they're expecting people to just take it this time. Maybe the people will?
Nintendo have hamstrung themselves by sticking to handhelds while simultaneously killing their handheld division with the launch of Switch in 2017. I'm guessing Switch 2 will perform well commercially speaking, but what if it doesn't? If this console fails there will be no Switch 3. That's because Xbox has no passion for games. Xbox only ever existed to beat PS. PS exists to stick it to Nintendo because of their betrayal. This is the most honest and truthful take I've read up to this point. I miss the simpler SNES days. GBA with insanely long battery life a headset jack and decent graphics. I also opine for PSP era even though I was older. Man those were the days. It's strange because I don't really want the poorer visuals and weaker louder and less efficient tech.
