"...it was delivered poorly and the attempt to shoehorn it into a "censorship" concern is pretty hamfisted."
This is where we disagree. Censorship can include things that in this case the developers don't want users to do with their content. This is what is happening by not releasing on the platform that offers the greatest ability to modify game contents. This can of course be done almost as easily on a console so long as the console is alread...
@jambola
You now want the developers to do something they don't want to do. You don't understand that they just don't want to put their game on PC and this upsets you, but it is their choice.
I think more people actually enjoyed Astro Bot. The game is already showing that it has some staying power as well with respect to its continuing, albeit undeservedly slow, sales success.
This happens every year and to be fair we all kind of feel various amounts of bitterness sometimes when games that do something unique and are fun to us get snubbed for GOTY for some safe sequels or bland boring and sometimes even totally broken messes of a game that was loved by mass medi...
'DON'T YOU SEE!? THIS IS BMW VS AB! ASTRO BOT CAN NOT BE BETTER THAN BLACK MYTH WOKONG BECAUSE W-W-WELL ***PC IS WAY BETTER THAN CONSOLES!!!*** *****ESPECIALLY THE ●●●●● PS5 AND IT'S RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE "PRO" COUNTERPART!!!!!*****
OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A CONSPIRACY FROM PLAYSTATION TO SHUT OUT CHINESE DEVELOPED GAMES -- AND FORGET THAT YOU CAN BUY BOTH GAMES ON THAT CONSOLE MADE FOR THE PEASANTS!' - basically a quote from the gaming press before the guys in w...
FXAA is 13 years old. MSAA is almost 20 years old.

Forza is Microsoft's IP from start to present.
Gears was Epic's baby, Halo famously belonged to Bungie, and Elder Scrolls was Bethesda's IP, but Forza was created by Microsoft to compete against PlayStation's Gran Turismo and we all see how that went. Forza Horizon 5 is the most popular Forza game in the IP's history. None of the Forza Motorsport games outsold GT (except maybe GT PSP) and Forza Horizon only gained real traction by 5 d...
They didn't even compare PSSR to anything. It wasn't mentioned once in the article outside of the headline. How was this approved?
How could accounting account for losses of games not able to show performance metrics of any kind whatsoever?
They can't. This was a decision coming from leadership within PS WWS not some pencil-pusher in accounting.
People also forget that the reason PS and Sony at large are moving away from merit-based hiring and what the fans want also has something to do with placating the shareholders and management has a legal obligation to fluff these people...
We can only assume. Very few live service games are any good, but we don't even know what any of these were. Not that PS has made any forever games. The closest Sony got to that was Jak and Daxter and that's only in my personal opinion based on my personal proclivity of picking up and playing every version released since their original release on PS2.
PS5 was designed in America.
This is an unusual move for any business, but especially unusual in Korea.
If you know, you know.
Happened twice to me. I think PS changed how PS5 accesses content which is likely how it didn't happen the 3rd time my PS5 lost power... but it was actively running the 3 times the power was cut. I wound up investing in a back-up power device that the PS5 is now connected to. I also back-up my system data more often with hard drives that have massive capacities typically over 5TB. My PS5 has 7TB of storage currently.

What most Xboxers forget is PlayStation was the first to deploy a "Quick Resume" function with PSP Go. It was called "Game Pause" and kept one game in the extra 32MB of RAM Go had over all the other PSP models so you could play a totally separate game. You could pause one game play another and put PSP in sleep mode keeping both in memory. Turning the PSP Go off, didn't clear the paused game from RAM meaning you could still resume a paused game af...
@Reaper22_
Quick Resume ≠ Rest Mode
The former allows swapping between apps rapidly after allowing their RAM contents to be dumped to storage while the latter keeps RAM contents active in a deep sleep.
PS5 also has a task switcher feature that allows small apps to be brought up instantly while playing a game. At most you can run a game, either Spotify, Apple Music, or the USB music player and the PS5 gallery app together plus one pinned window. The PS5 doe...

"Still most gamers prefers the Xbox controller since it´s the best selling controller. Ask the PC fans."
Windows doesn't exactly play nice with DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers (there is no native support for DualShock 3 or earlier PS controllers on Windows) with almost 0 games supporting DS outside of PS 1st party PC ports. Plenty of gamers including myself will not go out of their way to download 3rd party apps just to pr...
"People are saying the 5090 is only 30% faster than the 4090 already.. so IDK, need to wait for benchmarks."
No... Nvidia itself is showing this on their own website! Nvidia have videos that compare native 4K performance to DLSS frame generation for each featured GPU and looking at the RTX 4090 videos that used the same game and similar benchmark scene shows the improvement in raw real performance without frame generation is 30% between RTX 4090 and RTX 5090. We don't know what's going on with Intergalactic, yet. I'm cautiously optimistic for it and that we'll see a return to form for Naughty Dog with Intergalactic instead of going in the very strange and inarguably and unnecessarily woke path that TLoU:P2 took.
I don't care that some "gamers" think the lead character of Intergalactic doesn't look feminine to them. We didn't see any strong signs of wokeness in the first ...
@Obsure_Observer wrote, "IMO, It's no longer a "console war" in the traditional sense, at least for MS."
Headline: "Xbox’s Future in Console War Looks “Pretty Bright” According To Circana's Mat Piscatella"
So, the console war is no longer about consoles? Sure... 🙄
Why are people buying the hype?
I should make totally baseless "I Have Insider Knowledge About The Next Nintendo Console!" videos on social media and watch the money roll in, like all these clowns.
@Jolska420
The rear touchpad on Vita acted as a scroll wheel in the systems included web browser.
You can actually use the touch pads on DS4 and DualSense controllers as cursors on Android 10 and up (Android 5.1 and up if you have a Sony Xperia phone) with the touchpad button being used as mouse select, and it works well. Ignoring the button under the PS controllers touchpads, the capacitive touchpads on laptops are literally exactly the same as those in PS4 and PS...
