There really is no point having a discussion on this site, since things like "common sense" or "journalistic speculation" or "multiple sources" or "conflicting data" seem to be ignored by most (thankfully not all...yet) posters.
Try it with me.

See number 9, I'm too lazy to type.
...frantically searching for Vista.
"Nobody told me it was _necessary_. Am I too late?"
"EA's spokesman confirmed that this was nowhere near an official announcement and expected a retraction to be forthcoming. "
This statement basically CONFIRMS a 360 port. EA just announced that it was "nowhere near an official announcement." The game exists, is being worked on, but EA has yet to release the information, thus PR is pissed.
Or let me guess, you read the headline but didn't take the time to actually read the article?
"Business Week listed Sony's stock as a sell."
THIS is news. Drop in recommendation -> (eventual) drop in share price -> pissed off shareholders -> drastic change.
...not so amazing character models. They don't match the background in terms of fidelity or "feel." It is almost like there is a post-processing filter to give the background a grainy look that isn't applied to the characters. They...stand out, for lack of a better term
Did anyone notice that, apart from Virtua tennis, these games look light years beyond what we saw a year ago? Across the board there is some major improvement.
Note to PS3 fanboys: I said "better than a year ago", not "freaking awesome" or "Better than PS3", just improving. ;)
By posting a multi-platform game as "exclusive" by not including all release consoles you are leading to even more distress on this site. The preview may have been of the PS3 version, but given that the _preview_ material applies to all consoles, mark it as such...especially given that the word PS3 isn't even mentioned IN the article.
If a game is to be released on both platforms, regardless of the of whether the article is on a PS3 or 360 site, then the news should be p...
_If_ a 1st party title was canned, I don't think any of us doubt it is Warhawk. Given that it had to be retooled due to awful ground missions, I doubt Sony wants to sink more money into a franchise that very few remember or care about.
<frustrated> What does that even mean? </frustrated>
Seriously people, can we _try_ and have some complete thoughts in our posts. I swear this topic alone has brought the average I.Q. on this site down by 50 points.
And FOR THE LOVE OF GOD it is "quiet" NOT "quite."
Jesus, stop commenting on something you have _no_ experience in. Maybe his post, like mine, is actually in response to some very poor choices Sony has made.
There have been a number of recent technical revelations made among the PS3 development community that have made our lives a living hell. The rosy picture you paint is absolutely untrue.
Sony is not courting 3rd parties, I think the quote in this article sums it up. 3rd party developers do NOT have access to...
I'm pretty sure his issues, judging from his comments, are from a development standpoint. If you haven't worked with Sony or the PS3 then you really can't imagine what it is like. Sony is still trying to strong-arm developers and is forcing some pretty ridiculous terms. More importantly, the PS3 isn't just harder to develop for, it is _order of magnitudes" harder to develop for. It is a NIGHTMARE. I know a lot of people keep saying that developers will eventually learn to exploit th...
Whether you like it or not, when a CEO of a major game company says something this powerful against a console, it is certainly news.
Wow! Just when I thought there wasn't a way for this site to get worse, the amazing Microgamer spams the news section with twenty or so BS release dates from EB games.
Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?
EBGames nor any other store is _EVER_ correct on release dates, especially ones not announced by the company.
Also, one freaking article saying "EB RELEASE DATES" would save a lot of us from hating you.
As it stand...
Having traveled much over the past month, I've been to stores outside of San Diego, Portland and Boston. Three Targets, three shelves stocked to the brim with PS3 consoles. I know some find this hard to believe and a bunch of lies, but there really are people who have genuinely seen stockpiles of unsold PS3s. As a current PS3 (and Wii and 360) owner, I can't say I disagree. Had I not needed mine for work, I would have absolutely waited at least a year to get the machine. At the end of th...
The summary and the actual article are rather...different. While he certainly did say a lot of positives, I would say he included just as many negatives. The summary made me think that Motorstorm was perfect (at least it will be in the U.S. ) and I get to the preview and I am sorely disappointed.
:(
Given that the systems are "more or less" equal in power, there will never be a PS3 emulator on a 360 or a 360 emulator on a PS3. Emulation requires exponentially more power to perform.
This isn't a comment on system power, just one of those unbreakable laws of computing.
If you can read, which appears like a dubious proposition, you will find that NO ONE has posted that they are excited. Most of the posters could care less.
Whether you like it or not, this is a rumor going around the net, and since it relates to video games, it is going to get posted on this site. Most people even seem healthily skeptical that this is going to happen, as most posters are smart and balanced (even the formerly annoying 360 and PS3 superfans..) You, however, ar...
From Ps3 Fanatic: "I just hope they don't dumb down the game on all platforms to make it work on the 360. Can you imagine how good the game would have looked if they focused on the cell?" ;)
"...since when has a console war ever been decided in the first round? "
Not to rehash the MS propaganda, but technically it is correct that the first console to 10 million has won the console race...every single time.
