NextGen wars is a silly little estimate based by projecting publically released data into the "future." It is a neat and fun site, but hardly accurate.

I can't believe they are still doing this after pretty much the entire gaming press has called them out. There is NO reason for these games to only be released in specific regions. Japan has awesome games the U.S. doesn't, Europe gets one the U.S. doesn't, Eurpoe doesn't get some the U.S. does.
EVERY SINGLE one of these games has already been localized for every region on the planet. They have no logical excuse for making V.C. titles region-specific.

If sony fixed this, shouldn't they have announced the issue was taken care of? Given that they took enough flak that two executives had to comment, I can't imagine they would slip a fix for all games in without a single world.

My experience with the download, as well as that of IGN and 1up (including EGM) on their podcasts is one of amazement that this game is as hyped as it is. Resistence is fun and certainly a good title, so I'm not trying to be a fanboy here, but Motorstorm to me (and the editors) really is a ho-hum game that wouldn't be getting any attention if it wasn't for the abysmal launch support.

It is still one more HD-DVD player sold, and the money is still going to MS. Microsoft as well as the HD-DVD camp can still add it as one more sale and thus a little bit more muscle with which to lean on content providers to go with HD-DVD. Why does Microsoft really care if you hook it up to your tv or your 360 or your computer?
Beyond that, I would imagine that most of us on this board feel that _both_ formats are bound to fail...even if the PS3 comes with a BluRay that doesn't ...

Sega says they moved the sequel to the PS3 due to poor sales on the 360...however, with the severely limited PS3 availability this Christmas (and for the foreseeable future), there simply aren't enough customers with PS3s out there to make a profit.

Not going to happen. Since the PS1 years this has happened what, maybe twice? I'm not saying that XNA won't provide a _few_ potential games, but if you make a game yourself looking for huge success you are in for massive dissapointment. Indie games, and there are some great ones (Def Con for instance) are not big money makers nor do they in any way guarantee you...
Given that the video isn't synced up between the three systems, it is very difficult to make a fair comparison, especially between the PS3 and the 360. I guess the conclusion of their video is that the 2 big boy systems are the same, and the fun system looks comparitively worse.
