...you didn't take the time to list exclusives only. These are just the CONFIRMED duplicates:
Resident Evil 5
Amored Core 4
Assassin's Creed
Army Of 2
Not to mention I'm sick of this garbage argument on this site. Yes, you will be "playing" MGS4, but people with a 360 will be playing Halo 3, you will be playing resistence, and 360 owners will be playing Gears of War. Every time someone makes this half-assed attempt to make their ...
But given that Sony has stated that no matter what they charge the initial runs will sell out...
AND in the keynote he states (from article summarizing his statements on this site):
"We've just heard a lengthy and rather boring discussion on HDMI, and how it's definitely the standard of the future. That's nice. Also, apparently when Sony announced the price in America, everyone thought that it was really cheap given the functionality of the console. News to ...
If this in anyway represented the American Market why would Kutaragi state in the press conference that the price in America was met with great enthusiasm (which is insane)?
Of couse the game couldn't be done on the PS3 "IN IT'S CURRENT FORM." The game is completely optimized an built around the PS3s substantially different architecture. To be done on the 360 would require a total rewrite. Notice the developer does not state that the 360 doesn't have the power to run this game.
Please give me a break, anyone that thinks the PS3 and 360 couldn't run eachother's FIRST GENERATION games is a total fanboy. No one is going to be utilizing a...
I'm not going to comment on Graphics or framerate. This may all very well be _in engine_ and I am NOT saying this is CGI AT ALL ...however I don't care at this point. What I will comment on is that I believe this game to be about 2 years off and I believe this video is a total sham. What they showed WAS NOT a game in any sense of the word, and the fact that there are no playable units is starting to make me very suspect.
What we are looking at is a very carefully crafted _...
Pure speculation, but with Sega supporint Genesis games on all 3 platforms and NEC games confirmed on both the PS3 and Wii, it seems logical for MS to announce TG16 games soon. It would be rather incredulous for NEC to only provide support for 2 consoles.
Please feel free to give a source on your supposed price drop. I assume you are using a 1-1 conversion of the 50000 yen number, which would of course be a fallacy since Japanese and American prices DO NOT (nor have they ever) correlate based upon the Japanese prices.
Look at the videos and ask yourself if you could see yourself, in any way, PLAYING the game that is shown in the trailer. Lots of cuts away from the player in the middle of the action, cutscenes on and off intersperced with gameplay elements and p.o.v/angles that would make controlling a character impossible.
These shots may very well be "in engine", but there is no way someone could pick up a controller and play these scenes as they are laid out. (And no, I'm not talki...
...or maybe, just maybe, some of us have opinions of this game/series that differ from your own? I, for one, absolutely loved Metal Gear Solid. Then the sequels came out and absolutely destroyed my opinion of the game and it's makers. I _hate_ the series trend towards more cinematics and less gameplay (my opinion, although I'm not alone on this, I'm sure).
This is "art", in that there is no "right" or "wrong" opinion, only a personal opinion. Just ...
If the games you mention will be better on the PS3, it will unfortunately still not be fair to compare the PS3 games to the 360 games (as I think most of us would agree).
The PS3 is getting Ridge Racer 7...the sequel to Ridge Racer 6 on the 360.
The PS3 is getting Full Auto 2...the sequel to Full Auto on the 360.
Does anyone here not expect these _sequels_ to be better, regardless of the platform? Much like any game with a follow up, the second ga...
And a PS3 version has not been announced yet...meaning as of now it doesn't exist.
Are people looking at the same screenshots I am? I have never, ever seen such incredible jaggies in my life. Before, I get in trouble, I will point out that I think RFOM looks awesome, so as not to be clouded in fanboyism. With that said, I really think people are just loving anything that comes tagged as PS3...this is certainly not one of the better looking games...maybe I'm alone on this.

...they aren't just recruiting for key postions, they are recruiting an _entire_ team, including core personell like project managers.
Either KZ2 hasn't started development, they killed the entire production team or this is for another title altogether.
I don't think anyone is making _final_ judgements, they are just making judgements of the footage made available. Why should they wait until TGS? Should we only comment on games that are completed? We all come here to read and comment on the freshest available news...in this case it is this video of TGS. The game may or may not look better at TGS, but should we just sit and twiddle out thumbs until after the show is over (even though the game won't be final after TGS anyway)?
I understand that Sony (or associated developers) obviously isn't going to release images of what their games look like on "regular" televisions, but I for one find this to be the most important aspect of the console.
I understand that the standard forum argument tends to be "Who the hell buys a next generation system to play on a regular television", but the fact is that 90%+ of all consumers have regular televisions...
As many 360 owners kno...
This really is the start of the trickle of good news. I mean, we can now all overlook the delay in Europe and the absurdly small release quantities and rejoice in the fact that "PlayStation 3 Passes FCC Tests!" This really is a great day to be a PS3 fan!
I'm amazed that this news isn't front page on the WSJ and the lead headline for the BBC...I mean, this is the sort of information consumers have been clamoring for. Forget all other bad news, this completely change...
And this site was doing so well. I too think the game looks good, but the comparison to the 360 game is really unecessary. This is Ridge Racer 7, after all, and the 360 game is Ridge Racer 6. Not to mention the RR7 is being released a full year after RR6.
DVDs were a substantial upgrade over VHS, with random access, special features, no degredation over time, the advent of widescreen (outside of laserdisks and special releases)...
HDDVDs and BluRay on the other hand...
Offer little more than a picture upgrade. I'm sure many on this forum think that this upgrade is vital, but it seems the majority of the world (myself included) who have spent thousands and thousands on DVD collections really don't want a new format in our l...
Simultaneous Bluetooth and 802.x transmission is a pretty standard industry issue...it is a very tricky thing and isn't done. The good news is that there are plenty of technological solutions to make them work together that are invisible to the end user. The best examples of devices that have solved the problems are wireless handhelds...for more information see:

never mind. I'll go back to playing with my Jaguar.
