"Killzone 2"
We no virually _nothing_ about this game at this point. No journalist has played even an alpha build of this game. Sure, it may be great, but so could any other game that we know so little about. Beyond the hype, there is no logical reason for this game to be on the top 20 list _yet_.
First of all, you only have two bubbles, so I'd use them a little better next time rather than duping your own post.
Second, game reviews are not meant to be taken absolutely across all genres. Uno got the score it did because it was a great, fun and cheap online card game, probably the best made to-date. For what it is, it is excellent.
Should Uno be compared to Halo, MGS, Zelda, GTA? If a reviewer said, "This game just doesn't have the depth of Zelda or...
You are giving Sony PR far, far too much credit. ;)
"DAMN Incognito might just be for the PS3 what Bungie is for the 360"
You are saying that they aren't trying to force a half-ass game at $60...which is great I guess, although I'd rather them make a full ass game. I just don't get your analogy, though. Bungie is sort of the almighty messiah of 360 owners, and regardless of how good Halo 3 is, it will sell a trillion copies at full price...where is the corretlation?
Just doesn't seem to keep with EGM's style. This is the sort of vague "joke" that is too close to an actual possibility and could actually hurt Capcom...with users upset that they didn't get their Co-Op. EGM tends to have a little more class than that...such as the infamous "Shen Long" streetfighter Fiasco that made Capcom a billion dollars as people tried to unlock that "hidden character."
"Perhaps the best-looking game I've seen on the PS3 is a free game called "Gran Turismo HD" released exclusively online in December."
Apparently he has only seen one game for the PS3, and that game is GT:HD.
Def Jam Icon
MotorStorm
NBA Street Homecourt
I, like I bet a lot of PS3 owners on this board, am going to have a very long night pondering where my $60 is going to go... ;)
(Note, I actually think the other games are pretty good, but they are multi-platform and are really going to have a tough time competing for PS3 sales this week(.
Knowing what I'm going to get ten months before Christmas.
That is me agreeing with your smile. The only part that absolutely sucks is that we won't get online. I would kill to play those games (Windjammers baby) against my friends.
"I've also heard that it is cheaper to produce games for the Wii, but that was only on forum posts, so I dont know how accurate this information is."
No developer is allowed to/would be stupid enough to post the cost of their games, but just look at the market and throw in some common sense. There are many, many Wii games that are simple Playstation (or PSP, Ala Prince of Persia) ports with new controls. Pretty much any PS2 release is now hitting the Wii, and thus...
As an owner of all 3 next-gen consoles, I really think the Wii gets an unfair rap on this board. It isn't just the mainstream press that has a sense of the Wii's impending success, just check out any given Wii story on Slashdot or the IGN or 1up podcasts. Have you heard of a single developer who hasn't commented on how much they would secretly like to make a game for the Wii?
The strange thing is, after years and years of being a "hardcore" gamer, I find myself buyi...
The game became frustrating as hell...and I can't say _why_ I loved the linear gameplay...but I also really enjoyed the first one. Make _one_ mistake and you have to start over...but for some reason it worked despite of this.
Not to be a jerk, but given that this is a multi-platform game, and the video isn't attributed, wouldn't it have been a little more appropriate just to say that "Stuntman looks great?"
Do you really think either version is going to look the slightest bit different? Do you really know which version these low-rez screens are from? Do you really like to insight flamewars for no reason?
"how could anyone say outloud that the ps3 can't do graphics!?"
I don't think anyone denies the PS3's abilities to present amazing graphics. I think the only debate is whether or not they are better graphics than the 360. I can't imagine anyone saying the machine doesn't create pretty graphics.
Let's assume that a price cut isn't coming. That means the cheapest entry into next-gen gaming is:
$599 PS3
$299 360
$250 Wii
Forget the "Core 360 is crap" argument for a second, and don't try the "PS3 is worth it because it has more" argument. Of course it does, no one is really arguing that.
But price IS a deciding factor for a LOT of consumers, and at $600, assuming the 20GB is gone, the PS3 is a very, very ha...
Having played the latest build, I found the game to look gorgeous. But since I'm just a random person on a message board, why don't you check out 1up's coverage? They loved it, it has some incredible features (support for 8 hdtv's as a surround view, ability to sell cars and paint jobs online, force feedback wheel with rumble, INCREDIBLE realism). Apparently, the last 5 weeks will be spent on graphics.
"heck even sega GT on xbox 1 looked better than this. "
...
This has to be the most uninteresting Quartermann column in recent memory. :(
"Biohazard 5 PS3 Capcom 1.362"
Also to be released on Xbox 360.
Of course, only five or six blind Japanese people will actually play the game _on_ the 360...but I just wanted to head off any flamewars before they started. ;)
But just yesterday _some_ of the posters that are now excited about rumble stated that they didn't care that the PS3 didn't have it. Is there anyway we can all just stop being ridiculous and admit when there is something about a console we don't like?
Guess what? We all wanted rumble.
Guess what? The Xbox Vision Camera has virtually no support and sucks right now. Eyetoy this thing "ain't."
Guess what? Wii's graphics are plain awful ...
Given that the arcade version of the game has networked play in Japan, this argument seems dubious at best.
