This really wasn't meant as flamebait, as it really has NOTHING to do with the PS3 (see sOe versus sCe). Competing against WOW is just...not something to be particularly taken lightly.

06/06/2007 with the only news article on this site posted that in any way references this material being one entitled "Sony Will not be making cutbacks in Japan."
Given that I know a number of people laid off YESTERDAY...I'm not sure this counts as old news.

I'm starting to think all of the fanboys are "plants" placed by the printed game magazines to drive us away from the internet and back to a place where I don't have to read the same biased garbage over and over.
"Demand" is actually calculated based upon price. So, there may be x demand at $100 but y demand if the price was $200. The "law" tends to get mutated on the net..

Just hearing the words "Fallout 3" makes a tear flow down my cheek, regardless of the system.
And YES, it WILL be different than Fallout 1 and 2...at this point can we really be picky or should we just be excited that another Fallout game is being made at all?
The problem with this article is that it is largely useless for those of us interested solely in PS3 sales for a few reasons beyond the obvious "manufactured != sold" (especially for a non-supply constrained product) argument.
I.E., 30% growth in production could be 29.5% PS3 and 0.5% iPhone or 29.5% iPhone and 0.5% PS3. Throw in the fact that the iPhone will increase baseline production from 0% with very strong sales estimates... that is a pretty substantial area of...
We should probably just forget about looking at sources altogether.
I mean, if Xbox.com says that the PS3 sucks, then it must suck.
Or if Playstation.com says that customers just aren't interested in the 360, then Microsoft must be in serious trouble.

I'm so ashamed that people who frequent this site would possibly take this "news" to mean _anything_. We went through this same crap with AC, but everyone here has fallen into the same damn trap again.
There will be 100 articles with useless rumors, everyone will fight and swear their side is right, and then everyone will be proven wrong and IMMEDIATELY forget this and we'll do the same thing for the next damn Ubisoft game.

Guess what? Saying "Trust me" at the beginning of your post does NOT, in fact, make your information any more accurate than that of the millions of other children out there that have the exact same information on which to base their decision.
Be honest, start with "I believe" rather than "Trust me" and maybe you'll earn a little more respect.
Yes, it is telling that it is a next-gen game. I have no idea why this number is hyped, as it is actually MUCH lower than many first-round next-gen games at most of the major publishers.
