@F4ctory_Reset - "Even then, that's not a certainty on Horizon being the biggest new IP" -- It might not be a certainty to you, but that doesn't prevent it from bring a certainty to @tyasia0
"Either way, love the disagrees, I'm starting to remember why I quit n4g before." -- Commenting on N4G is 100% voluntary. You can quit & come back or quit & never come back, its your choice.

@jc12
You got busted because your opinion (which you have 100% right to express) has no credibility since you hated on the game before you even played 1 second of it.
Love all the statistical data...Great article!!!
Yeah 2019 or 2020 always made sense to me... 2019 is 3 years after the pro, which was 3 years after the vanilla PS4 (which means PS4 would have a 6 year lifecycle from initial launch to PS5 launch)...
2020 would be the 25 anniversary of PS1's 1995 North American launch (which means PS4 would have a 7 year lifecycle from initial launch to PS5 launch).
I also think, just like PS3, the PS5 will have PS4 back compat at launch.
Your comment would mean more if you weren't already on record hating on the game before it came out
Your comment about Horizon from Feb 19(a week and a half before release): "this is the same developer that produced Killzone, which in my opinion, was nothing to write home about. Hell, I didn't even finish the most recent Killzone campaign. The game play was so slow I thought my character had bricks on his legs."
@F4ctory_Reset - "You guys should really learn the difference between quality (good) and quantity (big)." -- big/biggest doesn't always mean quantity...
You really should learn the multiple definitions of the word "big". While big can refer to quantity it also can, just as easily, refer to importance. For example: "This is the biggest decision of my life" has nothing to do with quantity, it has everything to do with importance.

Or you could play it on........
Oh wait, its the only place to play the game (so its automatically the very best place to play the game)
@SonyRules
"Xbox live gold subscribers - 25 MILLION" -- I bet you can't link proof of that
"ps plus subscribers- 8m" -- WRONG...PS + subscribers = 26 MILLION ( https://www.vg247.com/2017/... )
"Xbox live subscribers altogether- 50 million" -- Total PSN altogether - 70 million (

Some how I knew we'd have the "Wall Street" gamer showing up...That appears to be you in the comment section. (The least you could have done was get your info right, but sadly, you didn't)
You said "Sony are worth an estimated 9bn & MS and Nintendo are worth an estimated roughly 500bn" -- Nintendo's worth is nowhere near 500 billion dollars...

All 3 are iconic in console gaming...But all 3 are not at the same iconic level
I know people hate to use console sales as a barometric Icon meter, BUT (in my opinion) which consoles people spend their hard earned money to buy...is the very best study there can be...
The Nintendo Brand (Home consoles) Approx. 284 million in its now 5 full generations (and its very brief 6th gen)
(Handhelds) Approx. 421 million in its now 4th handheld generation

@VideoGameLab - "If you don't like early access, don't buy it. But you miss out on a incredible game. I haven't got a bug this entire week yet."
"If you don't like early access, don't buy it." -- Liking (or disliking) it doesn't change the fact that Early Access is still Customer Paid Quality Assurance.
"But you miss out on a incredible game." -- Actually this very article confirms that nobody (on PC, ...
@Fishy Fingers - "Like I said, some people are stupid."
You thinking that people wanting clarification (on a phrase that is meant to be misleading) are stupid, has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
yeah this is pretty good...Nice month
This is different...The game went to XB1 first b/c of early access (or what I call CPQA (Customer Paid Quality Assurance)). Only after those people who shell out their money & have finished their quality assurance will the game go to PS4
Of course they can't release it on PS4 any time soon, because customers haven't payed their money to bug test the game yet. Only after people have spent their money bug testing the game, then it will be available on PS4
With all due respect, if it was that clear during the unveiling then Phil Spencer himself wouldn't have had to come out afterward and clarify...
Its just like Rise of the Tomb Raider: Half the people said it was console exclusive (with the probability of PC), the other half said it was timed....Then Square Enix came out and confirmed it was timed & everybody said it was crystal clear since day 1...BUT if it was clear from day 1 then Square wouldn't have seen the...
That hasn't stopped people from declaring that this game will never be on PS4.
@Bigpappy - "Your math is a bit fuzzy.
I will say 8 mil the first year. 6 in the second and 3 in the 2019 holiday period"
"8 mil the first year." -- The first year is Holiday 2017 to Holiday 2018
"6 in the second" -- The second year is Holiday 2018 to Holiday 2019
So the 3 million you talk of wouldn't be in the 2019 holiday period
Now who's math is fuzzy again???
@Bigpappy - "It will sell that much by the end of 2019"
You think the Xbox One X sku ALONE will sell (on average) 8.5 million units from holiday 2017 to holiday 2018. And then sell (on average) another 8.5 million units again from holiday 2018 to holiday 2019?
@Woolly_ - "Objectively speaking" -- Just because you type the word "objectively" doesn't mean your comment isn't 100% subjective.
And to answer the headlining question directly: Is it possible, yes...Is it probable, I don't think so.
There are so many GOTY awards given out by so many outlets that its too hard to follow any set pattern. And while I think Zelda is the front runner its impossible to say that some of the game...
