@Gamer4lifz - "If they're targeting a $400 box with a significant leap in power, they won't get it until 3-4 years down the line."
The PS4 Pro released Nov 2016... 3-4 years down the line would be 2019-2020
Besides, Ryzen & Vega just came out this year & some GDDR6 products are releasing this year w/the rest releasing in early 2018...That means a significant leap in power can be affordable for Sony in 2019 to release a console at...
Travis3708: PC should always have the best version since it has unlimited access to power.
Bigpappy: Doesn't that depend on the PC you're using
ME: Yes, at the individual level, it does depend on the PC...BUT there are PCs out there that should run EVERY game better than ANY console...Do you disagree with that @Bigpappy???
I'm surprised that you dont yet understand that MS has said a lot of things would happen...Some of which has happened, but some of which hasn't.
For example: In 2013 Xbox said they didn't need a more powerful console b/c the cloud would more than make up the processing that wasn't in the box ( http://www.develop-online.n... ...
@Woolly_ - "theres more than enough room for both.. its not always that something must die for the other"
I wish that were true, but unfortunately that is incorrect. The new "games as a service" trend is that a lot of 3rd party pubs & devs are sacrificing the amount of content they put into the SP part of their games in order to focus on more MP content.
@Bigpappy - "I play mostly single player. The only system I play on is Xbox. I always have games to play."
Its really unfortunate that your missing out on a lot of the single player experiences that Nintendo & Sony are bringing throughout 2017 (including the top 3 rated single player games of 2017)
Yeah, I'm sure Rockstar is adding a "Battle Royale" type mode (called Motor Wars) to GTAV b/c they're threatened by PUBG's success.
Nope, its just a copy-cat industry...The same way EA making Anthem isn't b/c they're threatened by Activision's Destiny, its b/c gaming is a copy-cat industry
PUBG vs Fortnite Who Owns Battle Royale?
Answer: GTA 5 wins the "Battle Royale" genre ...Since GTA 5 is doing the same thing within GTA Online (and 6.9 out of the 7 Billion people on the planet own GTA 5 already)
True...But GTA 5 will overwhelm both PUBG & Fortnite in the "Battle Royale" (since 6.9 of the 7 billion people on the planet already own the game)
As much as I'm a Sony dude, Bethesda Publishing would be the perfect landing spot. They already do great open-world RPG games. And alternating between Bethesda developer & Obsidian, Bethesda Publishing would be able to release a quality open-world RPG every 3-4 yrs as opposed 5, 6 or 7 years
I love how Guerrilla did better in their 1st try than Ubisoft has done in almost the past decade
@Deep-throat - "This is the first time I agree with you. Straley is the last good game director at Naughty Dog."
I'll bet good money he said the exact same thing when Amy Hennig left
@Erik7357 - "But ps now is good right?"
1) PS Now is not good.
2) What EA is looking to do not good.
3) Care to comment on this actual topic, @Erik7357? Or does Xbox having EA Access mean that U have to agree with everything EA does???
@Deep-throat - "Yeah, but you got a crate pushing sim. Uncharted 4 was boring a lot of the times. it was very poor when it comes to interactivity and that's odd since Uncharted is an action game."
Boring??? I'll bet my life that this guy couldn't beat the game on crushing and then say it was boring
Yeah, the cancellation itself happened before launch. But after Fable Legends & Scalebound this new info being shared doesn't help the Xbox exclusives perception
@Automatic79...I'm hitting the disagree, and here's why
This is far from a perfect example. Its quite clear that in 2017 PS4 has had noticeably more new releases than Xbox One. And since we know that not every owner of PS4 or XB1 will buy every game, the sales get divided up amongst the available games.
Now it would be a perfect example if both consoles had the exact same games released (thus taking the aforementioned variable out of the equatio...
@Cyfyxtfg
Both companies are good at what they do. I agree with you there. One has a more beastly console, the other has more highly rated games. I know which one matters more to me, and that is...more highly rated games
I said the exact same thing when I saw Xbox guys quoting "Pony" Foundry over the last several months. Xbox guys trashed that site claiming it was biased and/or paid off
@343_Guilty_Spark - "The X handily outclasses the Pro in every area though."
Except in the games area...You know, the area that gamers should care about the most!!!
@Bobafret - "So by your comment it appears you don't want MS to sell any hardware?"
I hope MS sells lots of hardware -- thats not my point. I'm saying: If people think giving Destiny away is a NEW Xbox strategy then it must not be that good of a strategy b/c they did the same exact thing back for Destiny 1 (in Sept 2014)
@Neoridr
Why do you feel the need to make multiple comments in this very section about how you already own the games & thus the PS+ month is not good for you?
I mean, has anybody even claimed that you didn't already own the games?
(btw, there will always be a rotating group of people who owned the PS+ & GwG offerings...That will always be the case unless they put out brand new AAA games...which they'll never do)
