Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't players want NEW games more than BC or X? And while Microsoft started out dropping games in the 1st few years, 2016 & 2017 hasn't shown Microsoft doing much on the front.

Thank you for sharing your opinion & preferences. There is no doubt that other's may share them as well. But most people like a mix of single player/story driven games AND multiplayer/fps/online mode games. And most console people want a console that has both available to them.
Not only that, it looks like most people also like knowing what games their console will be providing them into the future (which 1 company is doing) more than n...
I agree that Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 very well might be great & Game pass is a good feature, what the article is talking about is not the quality of the known upcoming games & features but not having a enough of them.
Keep in mind that's their opinion, people are free to agree or disagree but (as of yet) we don't know much beyond State of Decay and Sea of Thieves in 2018

When choosing between two competing products (in this case gaming consoles) people tend to decide on the differences. For you it may be performance & price, for others it may be a different combination.
While you may put a higher priority on performance over games on your deciding factor list, many others (like me) put a higher priority on games over performance.
Let the arms race begin!!! I feel bad for anybody on either side who brags about power. As soon as you get comfortable bragging, you'll be eating crow. So lets get back comparing (and bragging) about exclusives like we used to do.

First possible scenario: 2013 - Vanilla PS4, 2016 - Pro, 2019 - PS5
Second possible scenario: 2020 is 25 anniversary of PS1 in North America
I tend to agree here. Xbox does have very good engineers & really, really good online people for service features (Game pass, etc.). They even have really good developers.
But now the hard part is getting MORE good development studios (and/or get more teams in the studios they already have).
Top tier development studios/teams don't grow on trees. Naughty Dog, 343, Coalition, Guerrilla, Insomniac, CD Projekt Red, Rockstar North, Bethesda, Rockst...
Sony is wrong for forcing it to the front of the UI...It didn't happen to me b/c I put PS Now, PS Vue, etc in a folder, so nothing changed on my UI
But again Sony is WRONG for forcing the PS Now to the front of the UI
