Sold better than the Wii U, obviously. Lasted longer, not yet. Wii U just over 4yrs (Nov 2012 - Nov 2016 = 4 yrs)….Switch is just coming up on 3 years as of the first week of March 2020
As a PlayStation guy, I'm really happy that PlayStation gets held to a higher standard than Nintendo or Xbox
"Sticking with bundled software, PlayStation was aggressive with sales around its VR headset once again (as promised by PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan), and thus games for this device returned to the charts. PlayStation VR Worlds (No.14), Astro Bot Rescue Mission (No.18), Skyrim VR (No.20), Resident Evil 7 (No.23) and Everybody's Golf VR (No.25) are all back in the Top 40."…
Always remember, nobody's asking for VR!!!
As of the moment of this comment, Xbox's own website says Crossfire X is "First to console" (source: https://news.xbox.com/en-us... )…So that either means Switch or PS4…My money's on the latter
PS Now is as low as $5 per month (multiplayer included). GamePass is 3x the price (with multiplayer included). You just said 20/30 games are worth trying on PS Now…There are not 3x as many games worth playing on GamePass
PlayStation now has just as many DOWNLOADABLE PS4 games as GamePass has total games…maybe even more
As far as "GOOD games"…thats 100% subjective…Both have their fair amount of filler
Why does the author say: "You'll still need PlayStation Plus to play these games" when talking about multiplayer games on PS Now?
Multiplayer games on PS Now don't require PS+(source: https://blog.us.playstation... - Question 14)…Thats a huge difference between $10 PS Now & $10 GamePass (of course if you go with GamePass ultimate, t...
Xbox Expects Holiday Gaming Revenue Drop YoY Due to Generation End…
Didn't Xbox same a similar thing last quarter…Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the last time they called it "Generation fatigue". And that last time saw the other two consoles have growth (again, if I'm not mistaken)
@Orionangel
Of course GamePass Ultimate is more popular…Its only 2 dollars (as your quote specifically says)
I also found the next part of that very sentence funny: "the idea of seeing developer Insomniac produce their next game for other platforms would be a dream come true."
This author obviously doesn't keep up with major gaming news…b/c he or she will never see a future Insomniac game of any kind on Nintendo or Xbox
@Neonridr - "lol, so now we count PC's as the MS install base? Man, make up your mind N4G."
Wow…You must be new to the gaming community.
All Xbox exclusives are on PC…That easily makes up any console gap. Now tell us again how hard pressed it is.
ITS HAPPENING…ITS HAPPENING!!!
@UltraNova - "No way, Nintendo has a far better chance of acquiring P* than anyone else."
100% Disagree…
Sony has more money than Nintendo…And P* doesn't do as well on Microsoft
My realistic picks are:
1) BluePoint
2) Kojima
3) Remedy
4) Ready at Dawn
5) SuperMassive
6) Quantic Dream (very unlikely since they recently made moves to separate from Sony)
For me…It would be in this order:
1) BluePoint - Bring old PS1 & PS2 legacy games into the 21st century
2) Kojima - Well b/c its Kojima
(and then whatever you guys want…I don't care)
@SeanScythe - "Because Joel was more believable to fight groups of grown men and infected. Sorry but ellie is like 5'5 and 130lbs at most. This strong woman thing is cute but in reality it's not realistic and even believable."
This just proves that you've never seen a female highly trained in hand to hand combat/mixed martial arts fight a bunch of "average joes"
Hoggy 2…GOTY contender…You heard it here first!!!
Nintendo's IP is the biggest draw to the platform…But I disagree that simply producing those "juggernaut IPs" alone will mean they'll be fine in the "next-gen world"…
What am I going on to formulate my argument…The Wii U. Those Juggernaut IP didn't help the Wii U one bit.
I think even by the end of the year, Ori will still have one of the highest ratings for all of 2020…But I agree, its ridiculous to even start saying this right now
