First of all, please don't use that short hand for Japanese. But to your ultimate point, I somewhat agree, it's nintendo who i believe rested on the success of the Wii that made them think they could just coast on the brand name of the Wii (hence calling it Wii U) to market itself. They took far too long to realize that they needed to step their marketing and advertising game up.
I don't know if it will be released in the next 2 years but they are playing a dangerous game tempting people to just hold on to their wii's a bit longer to find out more about the Fusion DS and Fusion Terminal
tell me about it. I'm thinking about Dishonored and LA Noir (because i didn't play them) but i'm thinking both are ripe to be on PS+
That is very true…And then we'll just get the finger pointing back and forth ISP vs Content Providers. But hopefully Netflix, owners of Hulu, Google(Youtube), Sony, Microsoft, and the like can get this changed in a higher court. Otherwise, the internet revolution will not be streamed!!! (or at least be very expensive to stream)
Yeah, to each their own, people should play what suits them best. My Wii U is sitting in the closet and my kids like the PS4 more, which i was a little surprised by.
thats always going to be a problem so long as the TV conglomerates (nice apt phrase) also provide the ISP's. What would be nice is an ISP carrier that doesn't do TV and thus have no problem with streaming any and everything . But of course then, there's the bandwidth cap problem which i believe any and every ISP will try and take advantage of to make more money
Capcom has turned into a mobile studio. So i wouldnt base anything on what they say
In addition to Nintendo saving Bayonetta2 (paying Kamiya), he (Kamiya) also needs to drive up enthusiasm for Bayonetta 2 because Bayonetta 1 went virtually forgotten AND Wonderful 101 (good game) didn't sell much either. Why do you think Kamiya has to pipe in to every major piece of news in the gaming community (this bit of news, and he has to constantly tell the same 10 port beggars to "F*** Off"). He's trying to drum up enthusiasm for Bayonetta 2, thats all
I think its interesting that the people who think this generation will be worse than the last are usually console gaming fans with a tilt towards Nintendo. Most of the Xbox fans or Sony fans think this generation will be as good (or better) than the 7th generation. I just don't quite know why the difference.
PS4 = 48 countries, X1 = 13 countries…But, like you said, xbox doesn't traditionally do that well in the countries that make up the difference. As far as NA having the most spenders, thats true when compared to any one other region. But NA versus the rest of the world???? Things are a lot closer than you might think
Good point. But i think everybody anticipates X1 to do well in its home region. So if the PS4 even stays close in North America then the PS4 will probably have the largest marketshare of the 8th generation home consoles.
yup, love a new RPG
The Japanese are eating up these PS4's, aren't they?
people better save up their money now, huh?
looks like a lot of great titles. So much for PS4 not having games. No doubt some of these get pushed into 2015, but they'll be balanced out with the unannounced games that will drop in 2014
yeah, I'm real interested in how this may work
Not sure i'd buy it if its too expensive, but definitely interested
i hope they both keep selling, and stay close. Have Microsoft and Sony battle for my dollar…Gamers win out inevitably
@IamNsuperman i have to agree with that last line specifically. The only thing that stops ps4 from being the highest seller this holiday season is if they can keep up with demand.
But in reality, Sony not keeping up with demand may cause ps4 sales to be behind wii u sales this holiday, but its a decent problem for Sony to have
I agree. hopefully we can see some parity going forward
