Well... The hardcore ps4 fanboys (not all ps4 owners such as myself) loved them last year at gen 8 launch when th Xbox was undercooked, launching games at 720p. It helped them showcase their love of more pixels over just having good games. Nowadays the X1 is running better and the differences are usually more minor. - the pc will always be there to remind those people that no... The consoles (including the ps4) just don't have the power that a pc can have. Fwiw I agree with you. A good ga...
The pc version obviously looks the best, and it can probably do more than 30 FPS too. The consoles still do a good job though considering their price point.
i would agree with this list. I miss some of the tracks available on f4 and the microtransactions are obnoxious. I don't mind the Top Gear influence but a part of me feels any time you inject real life pop culture into something (video games, movies, cartoons) you instantly time stamp it and give it an expiration date - which, further into the future cheapens some of the classic experience of the title when you go back to it. Still... its my favorite console racing sim.
the real one on the left is shot with a go pro or other action cam so the sensor doesn't have a high dynamic range, thus overexposing the road and making it washed out and bright. Project Cars is lit like how it would be in a studio or for tv or something - even though its not real you still have to light it to look good and that means darkening things down... like imagine if tv shows were shot with consumer cams of equal quality the differences would be similar.
freaking sweet.
still gonna be a rockin game im sure. Looking forward to this one.
something tells me you won't be playing this on xbox anyway so what does it matter.... RE has also been released on the GameCube and Mass Effect - originally an xbox game - ended up on Playstation. Who cares? Its either a good game or its not and it will be good or bad on whatever system you play it on.
Meh.
i like the ds4 but it feels kind of cheap imo. I'm already on my second controller as the rubber wore off of the first one. the battery and lightbar are particular sticking points with me as well.
my tv is glass (or at least very glossy) and the lightbar reflection gets distracting - even on the lowest setting. its obnoxious.... then the battery dies. a lot. i have the lithium ion charge pack for the x1 controller and i literally have to charge it once per every 4 ds...
Enter the apologists that somehow know this game will be amazing even though they've never played it and then diminish the people who have played it and didn't love it.
Like Forbes is writing a click bait article equivalent to a basement fanboy's blog site.... It might just be a piece on perspective and ones opinion if you look hard enough. That seems more like Forbes style - a pretty well respected mag in the bigger picture.
Why can't peopl...
yeah. you're punished for not drinking the koolaid or having a subjective opinion. thats why.
rad. this is going to be a good racer for gear heads on consoles.
its most likely for multiscreen setups often used in car sim rigs etc.
So my experiences with it were really great. The one thing that is a bit of a bummer is the resolution of the hardware itself. You do see a little bit of stippling effect in the pixels. Aside from that, its a fantastic experience. The head tracking is dead accurate. When racing you have a tendency to look at the windows and gauges etc like you do in real life, which adds so much to the realism of things... probably more than just having tighter graphics alone would provide... something a...
its awesome with a steering wheel. i also had the opportunity to play it on an oculus dk2 with the wheel and pedals etc. so, so, so awesome. such a great sim.
and thats a-ok. it makes me wonder though about what all those guys who say 60 fps or gtfo will do though... especially coming from Naughty Dog (if it turned out to be 30 fps).
@neo
Fh2 is arcade sim. Forza Motorsport is just sim. You can even chain xboxes together to run multiscreen rigs of it.
Ha. That wallet is freaking awesome.
i pretty much agree with everything they said on here and their decision. i own all 3 of the games mentioned too... well 4 if you count forza 5 as well.
awesome! one of my fav tracks to boot. finally a new console sim racer.
