From what people are saying, as big as it is, it weighs no more than an Xbox controller does, and it's comfortable to hold. So what's the problem again?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the circle pad... Especially in games where you'll be able to change sensitivity. Now I can kind of see desiring the analog stick that doubles as a button to press, but honestly, pressing the analog stick as a button is one of the most unintuitive things ever created on a gaming controller. As for the shoulder buttons not being triggers, since there are two of them on each shoulder, perhaps one set should be trigger? But it really doesn't make a ...
I didn't know which game you were talking about for sure until you said steroids. Lets be honest here. Both IP's are great. Both IP's look great. Both IP's have hardcore fanboys who are incapable of seeing the goodness of the other, or smelling the proverbial farts of the one they love. *shrug*
If it's over $350, I'm going to have a personal issue with it the price.
So basically this guy didn't even watch the Nintendo conference. Why comment then? I agree strongly with the CoD engine showing its age though. A company making as much profit as Activision should be ashamed of themselves, and gamers should be ashamed for continually taking it up the pipe with a smile on their face...
While I agree with you to a certain extent, if they want to sell more software that isn't Mario, DK, Zelda, or 'Wii whatever' they needed to make some changes. (And let's not pretend that they don't want to because they are currently saying as much repeatedly) They are going after the all-market, and have admitted their past mistakes, that kept them from capturing it with the Wii. (No solid storage solution, relatively poor online, much less graphics capability, etc.)
IGN must be testing the waters with the title of this article, searching for how many people are looking to read negative stuff about this new console. F the 4 or 500 haters on this site who never truly cared to give this thing a chance in the first place... What's so hard about just liking what you like without all of the hate? I for one plan to enjoy this thing once it releases, provided it isn't too expensive.
Perhaps the 'Beam' concept has something to do with that holographic storage technology they've been rumored to be considering?
'Allot of gamers think dat Call of Duty: Elite is just a new way from Activision to get more money out of the game but that is not true.'

Google Translate does Ebonics now? The wonders never cease...
If this is true, then I may not ever need another Nintendo console after this one.
Why do people still think that we're going to get Consoles hands and feet above the current gen? THIS GEN hardware is too expensive and risky for developers. They don't want to make games on hardware that is going to be more difficult and/or more expensive to develop for. They don't want more Polygons. They want smoothness, ease to work with and better fill rate. Only EA, Activision and the like can afford this huge jump that some of you hope for, and they're too cheap.
Originated on 4chan? Come on...
It does sound nice though.
Confirmation that they have no plans to utilize even half of the hardware capability for Pokemon 3DS... Look at that crap. It's Pokemon Ranch all over again. Not even taking the chance of getting burned this time unless the 'app' costs like a dollar.
Mario Kart is a 'Whenever they bring it out' game for me. I want Smash Bros. a.s.a.p. With strong fluid online a few more characters, and HD graphics.
You missed the point. The tech is supposedly not too far ahead of the PS3 and 360, which are priced rather cheaply now. I don't want to pay $400 for any console, and I don't think that Nintendo should be trying to set such a price point assuming that the tech is similar to the far cheaper than $400 PS3 and 360. In truth I doubt they will. I'm simply stating what I would see as too ambitious.
As far as I'm concerned, they're only going to far if this 'Project Cafe' costs more than $350. Considering that you can get a 360 for less than $200, they had better watch their step. I want every Nintendo console because I like their games. But I'm done overpaying. Done.
The camera system was too annoying and lacking for the title statement to be true. It was a good, fun game though. Galaxy is one of the best games of all time. Sunshine was just, good.
Man, they really aren't trying very hard are they? I've recently been replaying TotA deciding if I want to buy it again to play in 3D. I was certain it would look better than the old version what with the other amazing looking stuff on the system. Guess I was wrong. Still may pick it up though. Namco uses any excuse to stop putting out Tales games in the U.S. so I almost feel obligated...
Nintendo made a crapload of money this generation on the Wii, and positioned themselves perfectly for the Wii successor. Sony and MS CANNOT make a machine that is vastly more powerful than what Nintendo is rumored to be releasing. Developers don't have the money to create games that fully utilize such hardware. Plain and simple. Now Nintendo is first in bringing out what the limit will roughly be for the next decade or so, right after Sony and Microsoft released expensive add ons in order...
I agree with everything you said except for: 'everyone here has sat for a length of time and read a book'.
Based on what I see here at N4G on an every day basis, I seriously doubt it. To further that point, I'd wager money that the average CoD gamer refuses to touch a book unless a teacher makes them read it.
