Hopefully they will take some of that profit and pour it into a greater effort of helping 3rd party developers maximize their efforts on the Wii. Perhaps even buy a few amazing Wii exclusives, since the competition still seem to be doing that with their consoles. Otherwise, I don't care a whole lot about some rich guys getting richer.

Can't beat it. No matter how you look at it. This one will be a best seller for certain, and played to death.

While I do think that such an idea is awesome, we have to remember that Nintendo is saying that people over 300 pounds can't use the Wii-fit board. A 150 pound person doing kick-flip motions and jumping a foot or so into the air and landing on it is going to probably damage it after a few times of playing. Wii Surfing? Probably good. Wii Skating? Probably bad. Though if they could make it work, it would likely instantly out do every skating game that's ever been made.

Lack of depth? Horrible Graphics? It looks ALOT better than anything from XBOX, that's for sure. Rail gun shooter? Only in one particular mode that they made for newer players to try before they try the CAMPAIGN mode (Which you should research). One weapon? Wrong. Many weapons of much diversity exist in this game. No grenades? Wrong. Not only are there grenades, but you throw them with a throwing motion with the Wii remote. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about in that post. ...

From my observations, 360 owners are also pretty bad, as well as Wii owners from time to time when it comes to bragging and whatnot. I do of course concede that the PS3 crowd seems to be the most immature and overzealous, but all in all, this is a universal problem amongst gamers imo. Arguing with a child or immature person is over as soon as the mature person remembers they don't give a crap if some knucklehead thinks that their system is "Teh suckz" and leaves them to their own st...

The amount of hate, hypocrisy, ignorance and blind loyalty at another company's expense on this thread is disgusting. Regardless of how any of us feel about any company, they are going to have their respective problems. Why not just enjoy whatever system(s) you chose, and quit trying to sound superior, or justify your choice to someone else? Do any of you really want other companies besides the one you favor to fail? Do you want a monopoly, where no-competition drives up prices to the max, le...

You say all of that B.S., but I guess it's o.k. that all of the Megaman games and fans went to Sony at Nintendo's expense a few years back though huh? You either don't know what you are talking about, or you can only see the Sony fanboy point of view.

This is the nature of the business, and business in general: Do what is best for your company. Right now, at this particular time, it is not best for Capcom to kiss Sony's ass and ignore Nintendo to the certain extent that they h...

Capcom should be "Loyal" to Sony and put out excessive amounts of money to keep making exclusives for the PS3 just because they made alot of money making games for the PS2? Sony made alot of money off of those games also. It isn't Capcom's fault that Sony severely underestimated the degree to which the monetary demands for the PS3 are alienating would be participators. Capcom was around and successful before Sony got into the Gaming industry. I'm sure that they would find it offensi...

How absurd. A mini paragraph of substance lacking B.S., capped off with a suggestion that if one truly wishes to game, they must make the same choice that you have. NEWSFLASH: There is more than one definition of fun. There is more than one definition of "What gaming should be". There is room for several different philosophies in this business. There is no justification for an unsolicited representative of the system with the least sales so far to hear his own sheep-like bleating as...

It isn't necessarily that one is loyal to a particular company's product that makes them a "fanboy", it is the varying degrees of disdain held for said company's rival/s and/or their products (especially when intentionally touting one at the others expense) that does so. Even if one points out true to life concerns or faults plaguing another company, each company has their own respective problems to deal with, so such talk boils down simply to ego.

Same old B.S. "Only Nintendo developed games can do well..." "Nintendo has sold their system to 12 million suckers..." "Wii is teh sucks!!1!1"

The Wii hasn't even been out for a full year yet. Non-Nintendo developers have to get a good feel for the hardware before more games that are really worth buying hit the market. The same can be said for the PS3 which also lacks in numbers of high quality games due to it being its first year, and a learning c...

While Microsoft continues to have hardware problems and the prospect of somehow digging out more space on an HD-DVD in order to combat Blu-ray, Sony and Nintendo share the problem (Though each in it's own way) of needing to find better ways to help/support developers in their work to figure out optimal development methods for their systems.

There is so much that is New, New, New, and I truly believe that each company will find their own niche, have their own (To varying degree...

It is truths like that that people ignore. No one is going to spend 400 bucks on a Wii unless they REALLY want to play certain games on it. This weeks EBay #'s most likely mean two things, that 1. More people who bought the Wii in stores are keeping them rather than trying to profit off of them. (Mario Galaxy and others coming up soon) and 2. A certain % of more people that week would rather try their chances getting one at retail price than pay $150 something dollars extra plus shipping! Thi...

The system has only been out for not quite two years. Definitely not three.

They may have only sold 11 million in two years, but the PS3 hasn't even sold half of that yet in one year. NOT EVEN HALF.

Considering those things, the fact that the PS3 is still priced out of the range of the average Joe, and the fact that month after month, even the PS2 is outselling the PS3, if I were you I wouldn't be talking crap, bragging or gloating. It just sounds ignorant and e...

How long is Nintendo going to allow this? This is a disgrace. Perhaps even worse than "Rise of the Robots", and that was BAD. You guys remember that garbage game?

The Wii isn't a Gamecube with motion controllers, it's supposed to be TWO Gamecubes duct taped together. :P
Though if you ask that certain Game Developer at the unveiling of the Monster Hunter 3 trailer, he'd tell you that they must have crammed another Gamecube engine in there somehow.
Knock it all you want, but the Wii is the "little engine that can do just enough". Not for everyone of course, but for enough people to put Nintendo back on top of the gaming world for ...

Christmas comes. A kid wants a new system that costs a ton of money. His parents are thinking, if anything they will buy him a Wii. Even with this price drop, this kid is going to use the fact that the 360 is 50 bucks cheaper than the PS3 as a bargaining point just so he can get anything; so that he can at least play Halo 3. There isn't a salesman in the land who is going to push a PS3 to an average Joe, who is already considering spending more than they should on a XBOX 360. Everyone who was...

First of all, all we've ever heard about this 67% of people that don't play their Wii is that someone claimed there was a study done. We don't know if any of it's true at all, or who they asked. Yet a bunch of knuckleheads jump on it to try and claim that the Wii is no fun. Here are the questions I believe should be used on such a study:

1. What systems do/did you own before purchasing the Wii/PS3/XBOX360?

2. How many hours did you spend on average playing each o...

The average Joe cannot afford any of this indulgence.
The average Joe would love to have an HDTV and a PS3, but it's so far beyond being a reality for them, it's laughable.
The people who do own HDTV's and PS3's are the Rich, the Upper middle class, and the wannabe's who are living beyond their means to try and "Keep up with the Jones'".
This is Betamax vs. VHS all over again. All people heard back in the day was: "Betamax has the best quality picture. Mo...

I didn't mean for my post to be a reply to what someone else said, only as a reply to the article itself so I reposted it. Of course it is not my intention to spam. Spam would be the article and it's unsubstantiated "study" we are all discussing, and derivatives of it which have been circulating for weeks now.
