Nice response by Iwata.
Not that Zelda is a JRPG at all, but in the 'open world' real time action sense of gaming, those games would probably compete for already spoken for dollars with certain U.S. Zelda gamers and the U.S. is the core of Zelda dollars for Nintendo. Of the 8 million or so Zelda gamers I would assume that probably half are die hard, and the other half are take it or leave it. They just want the open world, action experience on their Nintendo console, and they aren't going to buy Zelda AN...
Well, here's hoping that they don't. More Red Steel 2 type efforts and less Red Steel 1 and I'm a happy camper. The pure shovelware I just ignore completely. It's the decent looking games that trick you that are the worst form of shovelware.
I'm enjoying receiving a new Pokedex page each day on the 3D pokedex. Not enjoying Streetpass so much since I've only encountered 5 other 3DS owners with their wireless connection on since launch. Ocarina of Time 3D is a pure treasure though. I can't wait for Kid Icarus.
Excellent comments. I really liked what the Ubisoft guy had to say:
"Nintendo, for some time, was more like, 'We have one direction, follow us.' Now it's more, 'We have all these directions, do what you need to do.' Making games is hard – if you have too much constraint on top of making games it's much more difficult. I think there is a big ambition behind [the Wii U] and we will follow Nintendo to succeed in this because we have the feeling that ...
Some day... Hey, if we're lucky we'll get it for the 3DS.
I'm saying that the correlation's absurdity is likely a joke.
Hey, if they can blame crimes on gaming simply because crazy individuals happen to be gamers then you can just as ridiculously correlate something like this. In fact, I think that's the point here with this article...
Oh, you're black? That makes the comment o.k. then.
Not...
So the 3DS is equated to a N64 in the example and the Vita a PS3, and we're to take this as a proper non-fanboyish comparison?
I really hope that Nintendo has a Core type of pack in game with this console.
Priceless. Corny with a thick layer of cheese, but priceless. :)
No Game Cube controller support already has me irritated about this game. It's not the end of the world to play it on a classic controller pro, but I don't particularly want to. There won't be 4 Wii U controllers being used for the console - and I sure as hell am not playing Smash Bros. with the Wii remote. Sigh...
A shame. It had some flaws, but the boss battles alone make the game amazing.
There wouldn't be a No More Heroes as we know it, if it weren't for the Wii. From the active motion controlled 'light saber' idea to the way you charge the beam Katana, it was made from the ground up for Wii. It just happened to fit well on PS3 later on down the line due to Move. A third installment should come out for all 3 platforms imo.
You know... Seeing how excited and passionate this guy is about getting to interview one of his favorite developers, as well as how deeply he gets into these games makes me happy. I played No More Heroes 1&2, and I liked them, but not anywhere near as much as this guy, but his excitement and passion for the games makes me want to play them again. This is the kind of 'fanboyism' I like. Not the hate filled crud that's all too prevalent.
So now that it's absolutely clear that this is being generated in real time, what's it going to be? Does this start the 'Well it still doesn't look as good as blah blah blah?' comments or what?
People like that shouldn't even be checking this thing out. You're either not interested in an absolute sense no matter what the offering is because it's not your favorite company, or you're interested but can't afford to get this also so you tr...
'So 2006'
Really? Could we find something even more petty and nitpicky than this? I mean at this point we get it. A stubborn and set in their way group don't like anything Nintendo does, and no matter what they do, if it doesn't mirror what the companies they like does, and build on that thought process in the way they see fit, we'll get complaining. Give it a rest already. The hate is beginning to get absurd...
Even though a controller trigger may be shaped like a trigger, it's still a friggin button. Come on...
Better question: Should we stop acting like anything can stop people from paying more money for the same stupid crap so that Activision will have to try harder?
For every angry gamer that gives up on the crap that is CoD, two noobs take their place and continue the cycle. It's like a damned cheap, second rate hydra...
