Hey, I respect the guy for taking a 50% pay cut... The other executives took a 30% one. I don't see execs in the U.S. doing that. During the bailout period they were flying private jets and taking limos to the meetings until people got pissed off. Then the bankers went ahead and paid out fat bonuses with bailout money...
The issue goes a little deeper than that... People bought this product AND Nintendo expects them to not feel ripped off by the price cut/admission of error of price point for consistent sales so that they'll continue to buy games. Console makers need gamers to buy games. If gamers feel like they got ripped off, then just like any customer would they feel disillusioned and move on. Unless Nintendo wants to take a stance of 'F you, we already got your money!' then they are wise to o...
Gameboy Advance classics sounds completely awesome. I hope they aren't crap games. Not so interested in the NES ones though. All of those that I like I can still play to death whenever I feel like it.
Here's hoping for Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3. They don't even have to really upgrade it much. Just make them available Sega.
What? I thought it was the end? I thought teh 3DS was teh Doooomed? I thought Vita had 'won' before it had even launched? Oh you mean this was simply an Amazon problem? Oh, it wasn't developers and retailers abandoning a sinking ship? I see...
Maybe they are working on a souped up version of the 'Don't get pregnant' doll. Teenagers have to carry the doll everywhere they go, but the inner software combined remotely with the software running in the PS3 offers a more life-like and hellacious experience.
Here's my problem. Why do they have to choose? Acting as though it's one or the other is just B.S. Improve your strengths while you eliminate or minimize your weaknesses. Nintendo surely improves on their strengths, but the bottom line truth about their weaknesses is that they don't give a crap about them until so many people are pissed off it may be too late to do anything about it.
'We're not going to focus on what our competitors are focusing on'. T...
A HUGE part of Nintendo's yearly revenue/profits come from hardware sales. They always sell their devices at a profitable price, and they always make return money on them from day one. How in the world could Nintendo come even close to the level of revenue that they currently are at by not only ceasing to release hardware, but also to share half of what they make from games with another company? It's just not going to happen.
That isn't the only question I want answered, but it is probably the biggest question I want answered.
I own all 3 current gen consoles. If the Wii U is noticeably more capable than the PS3, has a nice lineup of games, (not just ports and remakes), and isn't $400 at launch I'll buy it.
If it's basically the same (Which I doubt and hope against), or Nintendo is trying to fleece early adopters, or there is nothing awesome available that doesn...
I honestly don't even care who the characters are at this point. I'm done with Capcom. At least until they manage to absolutely intrigue and amaze me again, which they haven't done in a very long time. The company is in half-ass, milk-it mode. There's nothing there for me right now. I'm done.
I would say rather, that Nintendo would be doing the people who bought a $250 3DS a big injustice if the Wii U was $250. $300 is what they should charge. $350 is what they will charge. My opinion anyway.
I expect $350. They squeezed me on the 3DS at $250, and I don't see myself not caving on the Wii U at $350, even though that is a lot of money for a console. I wonder if Nintendo realizes yet though that when it comes to such things, I and (I would assume) other gamers have an undefined amount of 'H.P.'? I don't know how much more I can take, but the breaking point for the milking will come sooner or later. 3DS costs $100 to make and they charged me $250... It'll be the sa...
lmao at Pokemon having no depth... If you know anything about the game mechanics, it's actually one of the deepest in video games. The magic of it all is that if you don't want to get into it the deeper aspects of it, it's still playable and full of content. But any way, wow Warprincess116... Go back to your 'hardcorez' CoD or whatever it is you play and think is so grown up - leave us 'kiddies' alone. XD
You're never too old to play a game that you like. If you want to play a video game and don't due to what people might think of someone your age doing so - that's when you have a problem.
What's with all of these Nintendo hating children commenting in Text message language? Good grief this crap is annoying...
Don't blame the games for your A.D.D. and immaturity... There are some games that are text only and they are not only fun, games like W.o.W. owe their existence to them. You probably wouldn't know that though since apparently you are a relatively new gamer. It's the gameplay that is of greatest importance. Who gives a crap if you 'can't be bothered with reading'? Not all games are the same or would be enhanced by every newer idea.
So there's a difference between a potential 'Super Mario Galaxy HD collection' enhanced for Wii U, and God of War collection? I 're-bought' the latter, I'd 're-buy' the former. A great game is a great game, and if you have the money to buy an enhanced version then why not? I replayed GoW 1 and 2 and enjoyed the little enhancements, then lent the disk to a friend who ended up buying God of War 3 because of it. I'd 're-buy' Metroid Prime 3 as well.
Not that I care about CoD, but if the Wii U isn't coming out until April or after of next year, I don't know how or why Nintendo and others expect a significant enough portion of the market to wait to play those games on Wii U, or to buy games twice just to play it with extra features. Those extra features would have to be absolutely out of this world.
But... You submitted this article...
Why is this crap always on the Nintendo channels? Stop already.
