I loved the first one. I don't enjoy RPG's on hand helds as much so the PSP sequels I didn't get to play. Also I heard they had to change the gameplay a lot due to going down to PSP. A shame. The first game is an absolute gem. I would have loved to buy every game in the series if they had continued it properly.

Indeed. There's a certain demographic amongst gamers that already have their mind made up about their future purchases. Nothing wrong with that per se (it is a bit shallow, but understandable), but unfortunately, often it turns into bashing of other products simply because they know they never plan on buying it.

Trash something by default, and you don't have worry about accidentally liking it, or having to be decent and cordial toward those who do like it, etc. It'...

Even though the Wii U has some solid 3rd party releases, so far most of them are games that other consoles already have, or will have already had by the time Wii U gets them. Games like Zombie U are a good start, but the console needs multiplatform games that are released on time, as well as some exclusives. Otherwise it will be a lot like the Wii, where we love most of the first party releases, but they aren't released often enough, and that's all we ever get outside of here and ther...

PS2 did it, as well as PS1. It will be hard to know if it has enough tangibles and intangibles until the console has been out for a year or two.

I want to know the price more than anything else. Even more than the release date.

@Hisiru

That tech demo was awesome. I wonder why they abandoned it so thoroughly? Also the version of the shuriken game in the natural looking forest is way more appealing to me than the 'Nintendo land' version. But yeah, the Wii U is capable of some awesome visuals.

@knowyourstuff

Yeah, but who honestly believes that that's what next gen consoles will be capable of if they release anytime soon? There's nothing on PC now that's as big a jump between say for instance it and PS3's best looking 1st party games. So how all of a sudden are we supposed to go from the proverbial *POW!* *WHAM* *BOOM* and nylon costumes to Spandex, form fitting plastic, CG, and surround sound right away? This guy is just hyping up his product, or h...

Could be, but I'm thinking that possibly many people are either waiting on the Wii U version, or waiting for feedback from their friends before they jump into an MMO. Even if it is DQ. I think it will do well.

Even if they offer it here in the U.S., I'm waiting for the Wii U version since they announced that there will be one. I would imagine that many people in Japan are as well.

He said 'Narrow it down', not 'Fewer non-Nintendo characters' right? I'll take that to mean that he doesn't want to go overboard, so they will take into consideration the top desires, and narrow them down to a small number that he finds acceptable. I mean there was Sonic and Snake on Brawl. Fewer would mean one. I seriously doubt that will be the case.

Cool, and interesting way he came about that. It's a nice system,, that I'm glad is in place since it makes the fighting game genre more diverse. That and the games themselves are just incredibly fun to play with friends.

I'm not going to 'disagree', but I will say that if there was a 'straight' convention, how would it be any different from ComicCon? ComicCon or E3 are the straight conventions, the gays (for the most part) just go there and act straight, because they'd better.

You say this sexuality thing is a difference that most gamers don't care about, but can they hold hands or kiss publicly at ComicCon like the straight couples can? If a gay guy walked up to ...

Lloyd, with a final smash where say for instance Genis, Collete, Raine, and Zelos come out and wreak havoc for 3 seconds or so their respective special attacks. I'd be very satisfied with just Lloyd being included if they did that.

If you go to a gamer convention, you see a girl, you can flirt if you want to. No one will be offended by it if you do it tastefully. You can look all you want, you can get phone numbers, etc.

Now imagine what its like for them. Unless someone is wearing a rainbow t-shirt, some sort of designating bracelet, etc. you don't know who you can talk to along those lines.

It isn't necessarily that people go to these things to 'hook up', but people d...

Anyone consider that for people who often have to hide who they are, or can't meet others like them because so many of them hide, events like this help them to meet people they can relate to? It's not hurting anyone, and really, just because it's on N4G even doesn't mean that it's being shouted from the rooftops. Try and empathize a little bit, what it must be like hardly ever getting to meet people like you unless you go to some specially designated event like this? Would...

They can't afford to lower the price right now. They have been losing money lately, and the Wii is a profitable system. Eventually all consoles hit that $99 sweet spot, but for now a new Black Wii, with Wii motion +, Wii Sports, and Wii Sports Resort at $150 isn't a bad deal. They'll probably sell a lot of them this Holiday season to people who hadn't been able to afford one yet, and people who had passed on the Wii for a few years.

That's fine and all hellvaguy, but that's not the situation for anything close to most consumers. Where is the money in it for the company to go that far for maybe 10 million absolutely hardcore gamers, when it's so expensive for the company, and the other 50 or so million consumers couldn't use the machine to its fullest if they wanted to?
