I hear you, but at N4G, I don't think it's the common first instinct to suspect that such a thing is a joke.
Apparently, if it's not horrific, full of blood, shooting, cutting, nudity, or bland color pallets that continually fail to look 'real', it's not mature. It would be nice if gamers actually cared enough about the challenge of games moreso than the superficial theme. But that's what happens when games with adult themes are played in huge numbers by children who constantly need to try and prove how 'adult' they are. Bleh...
It's not that the Wii U has Netflix/Hulu/etc. it's that it coordinates them in a very convenient way.
But in any case, why is it such a 'major issue'? Sure just about any device can have Netflix/etc., but what Nintendo is doing with them is new. Your concern is being addressed, and the service hasn't even been released yet...
Reggie said that they are working closely with Cable companies, so that just might change. At the least, you can use it for Hulu and Netflix.
Audrey Drake, (writer of the article) being a quite decent looking young female, most likely hasn't had that be an issue for quite a while. :p
It doesn't make sense to me that someone would determine that the game pad shouldn't be used extensively for a game, when they have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA to what extent the game pad can actually enhance a game.
It's like asserting that you've already seen to the bottom of what's possible with this thing, that it's not worthwhile, and that Nintendo and gamers shouldn't bother. Which loosely translated, sounds just like all the rest of the hater, '...
Well, his saying 'I think I can' was probably a Japanese way of being humble about his abilities. But yeah, even in Japan now you can't do that. You're right. You have to sell yourself as having no holes in your ability. No training needed. Day 1 winner. Or you can forget it regarding pretty much any job that you can actually live off of the salary/pay.
"I told them, ‘I think I could program Famicom games, so please let me program for the Famicom,'" Iwata said.
Wow. What a different time period. Nearly impossible to get such a job that way now unless you know someone important.
Yeah. If you haven't played Chrono Trigger, you owe it to yourself as a gamer to do so as soon as possible. Whatever age you are, whatever era you started gaming in, this game is solid, and a part of the backbone for the R.P.G. genre even today.
Not paying $50+ a month on cable frees up a lot of money for more games.
I buy more games because more games are available. Last gen, I didn't buy games as often as I do now. This gen, I made a transfer entertainment-wise from a person who watches T.V. and plays games to a person who hardly watches any T.V. and plays a lot of games. I don't have Cable anymore. I pick and choose a few shows to buy on DVD or watch on Netflix when I feel like watching.
I wouldn't have made that transfer if the market hadn't been 'saturated' wi...
Not to mention that he didn't even list some gems.
More companies should share profits with all employees instead of the 'bonus only', and 'only the people at the top get paid' system. And as they said, it also helps invest employees more deeply into being aware of the status and success of the company. Kudos Tantalus.
'The Wii's lineup is sad at best'
Stopped reading there.
Please.
I suspect that the success of the Wii U in Japan will have a lot to do with the 3DS/Wii U dynamic that they are beginning with games like MH3 and DQ 10. Just as they need to cause people in the west to find handhelds more appealing, they need to do the opposite in the east. And they're doing it.
Funny, PS3 is the first tab on mine, and there is no 3DS tab. I wonder how this is determined in the individual sense? I had just thought that it was this way for everyone.
Another anti-Wii U article... This is getting old.
'Speaking of which, what if someone else has the audacity to watch something on your titanic screened television, don’t worry, you can play your Wii U game just on the GamePad’s screen. That doesn’t defeat the purpose of having the huge screen with super HD at all, does it? All those pretty graphics squished down to coloured blobs on the screen that’s one hundred times smaller than the one they’re supposed to be viewed on...
When they brought out L4D2 a year after the first, people complained because it was too soon. It was a great game though. Now it's been years, and they haven't even acknowledged that they are even working on a part 3. Sucks...
The Zombie element is ALWAYS better than the main campaign as far as I'm concerned.
Do you even know what the 'slower RAM' even means when taking the Wii U architecture into account? I'm going to have to doubt that seriously, and peg you as someone who enjoys hating on the Wii U and/or Nintendo.
