Well the guy killed his mother and stole her gun, which she owned legally. It was not an automatic weapon. What laws could they have changed that are within reason, and don't punish non-crazy people?
That's not true at all. You don't have to defend the violence. You defend the 99.9999% of normal, sane people who would never do such a thing, and put things in a proper perspective.
9/11 happens, rights get tightened and lost.
Shoe bomber, one guy? Now we all have to take our shoes off at the airport as we stand in a 'You are slime until we deem that you aren't' line.
Underwear bomber? One guy. Now we all have to get felt...
Games, especially console games aren't all about graphics. But I agree that the look of the next game will mean a lot to me. They should never have teased us with the Zelda tech demo if they don't plan to make the next game look something along those lines. Skyward sword looked good and all, but it can't compare to a fantasy world that looks just realistic enough for the world/monsters/enemies/etc. to actually have a threatening feel to them.
Nope.
The people who see the Wii U as a next Generation console are people who deal in reality. The reality that Consoles do not lead the way when it comes to graphics, physics, etc, but do lead the way in unique, in depth gaming experiences.
The people who don't are immature fanboys who could never see themselves buying a console that isn't from their favorite brand, console gamers who can't afford to buy top of the line gaming PC's but still...
What is with these idiotic, garbage articles, and why do they continue to be approved, and become the top story here at N4G? (Rhetorical question of course, but think about it)
Crap needs to end.
Why do people care? Because all of the marketing resources and media attention which are going to a game whose developers don't put in anywhere near enough resources and effort into the game itself as compared to what they make.
Because the average, vocal CoD gamer is younger than the game's rating allows for, and they tend to be an annoying scourge to others online, which is the series bread and butter.
Because the more popular CoD gets, the more oth...
lol
How about we all grow up and stop this absurdly silly 'War' crap. It's embarrassing to what otherwise is a pretty acceptable and universal form of entertainment.
Major Gaming Media? lol
9 out of 10 hate articles are by some no name writer, from some no name site, talking BS they don't even fully understand (usually with poor grammar and spelling), then feeding it to the trolls and hate mongers here at N4G.
1 guy at IGN + 2 guys at GameTrailers + 100 hater fanboys with a video game blog =/= Major gaming media. Forget that noise. The Wii U is a great little console, doing things that no other console has done yet, a...
Of course they are working on new CoD games. But are they working on anything inherently new or innovative for the series? Graphically, are they going to put in the effort? Because they have not been doing those things to a better than decent extent these past few years. That is why I feel it would be best if they waited. But no worries, they'll release another one next year as usual...
I'm sure many people would disagree, and I'm glad that for those of you who are really into constant new releases they release it often - But personally, I'd like to see there be a break in CoD games. No new ones for a few years while they figure out a slightly new direction, and build worthwhile engines for the next generation consoles.
Unfortunately, too many gamers these days are 'Extremely immature and downright awful'. It would be nice if we could start moving away from the stereotypical behavior and help gaming become as respected as it could be alongside other forms of entertainment...
To the people upset by the wait, I recommend that you watch Louis CK's bit on Cell Phones.
Discriminatory? Against who? Those who don't want to pay $50 more for a pack in game and said promotion? Come on...
I'll tell you what. If a game like Skyrim comes out for $60, and I enjoy the amount of content and gameplay that much, then I'm glad to pay $20 for a big add on that makes the world larger, gives me more skills and powers, and makes me want to play even more. They've gotten over $100 out of me already in this past year, and I honestly hope that they keep em coming. Of course, games like this aren't all that common. But other developers should take a cue from what they are doin...
So now we have articles that round up all of the opinions fact based, and B.S. alike and give commentary? Opinion hub articles? A news round-up is one thing, but give me a break. This place is falling deep into the crapper.
'The attention deficit crowd.'
XD
We all know that. You can't say that though, or you get pegged as a 'Sony hater', which for me is bullshit. I love Sony and own all of their consoles so far. But since this place is so ridiculous, why not play along as though all parties are equally responsible? It costs nothing. Nah, if I hate anything, it's hardcore belligerent fanboys. And I don't even really hate them. Just feel sorry that one of these days, they'll wake up from their stupor as adults and be asham...
Here's a simple example for the 'GHZ' mongers, so that hopefully we can all understand and move on:
If the current gen HD consoles (in terms of raw GHZ functionality) for the purposes of this example, figuratively represent the U.S. Dollar, and the Wii U the Euro, then arguing that the Wii U is weaker/less capable/slower/etc. is akin to saying that because you have a dollar and 10 cents in your pocket, you have more money than the man who has a single Euro in his ...
Yeah, the story. But the power and ability-set of Onslaught was ridiculous.
Kojima Productions and Sega aside since they're all fine and dandy, I don't think your opinion is a majority one. Tales games are amazing.
