If ever it was time for the Pokemon MMORPG Nintendo, it's now!

From the article:

'For those who desire the full game voice acted because you’re too lazy to read subtitles, well, this solution may not sound very good to you. For everyone else, please bear with me as we consider this.'

The fact that reading is an inherent part of the experience is taken into account, and part of the solution.

I like the idea of it being optional. But unfortunately, if Nintendo ever does this, they'll make a big deal out of it, so making it optional would defeat the purposes of doing it in the first place for them. Kind of like the controls for Skyward Sword...

'I'm so UN-Excited about these games, I'm going to write an article about it!'

Please.

You say that as though you are COMPELLED to buy Wind Waker HD, and Mario Kart for both 3DS and Wii U, etc. Ever try not buying a game, or waiting on it if you feel like it's too soon?

Just because you may be sick of something doesn't mean that the next person is. From Nintendo's standpoint, the only thing they can do to make sure everyone is satisfied is to keep releasing games, and trusting YOU to only buy the ones that you want or are ready for.

I'm just excited that we're getting some form of F.E. game on Wii U, and not just on the handheld. I hope it turns out to be awesome!

Well there are only something like 600 copies being made, so I assume the price is just as much a collector's price as anything else. Not to mention that for developers of this level, their skill level may mean that they actually had to put A LOT of hours into this, and the price point was created as a direct reflection of that. Who knows?

'If Sony and MS go for consloes that are way more powerful than the current ones then you should see a a very big spike in game developement which means that games will cost twice as much to publish and they will have to sell games at $70 or more. '

Which many people have been saying for a LONG time, but get trashed for it due simply to the overexpectations of people who just don't get it.

This past generation was too expensive for Developers. We ...

I can only speak for myself I guess, but the Mii is a user created, thing. They can look o.k., but they can also look crappy. This next Smash Bros is the first foray into HD for the series. I don't see how Mii's are going to fit in a way that isn't an eyesore, unless there is a special, separate mode for it. Or perhaps if it's only on the 3DS version.

I wouldn't mind if the Miis had an optional Mii Mode. But if I jump online and have to face Mii's, or everyone is using Mii's during local play, I seriously won't like the game as much anymore. But, if current trends predict future ones, then I'd have to say that you probably will get what you want. I'm probably in the minority with my opinion.

True, but that's only because they showed us a few areas. Remember, these worlds are huge. They probably showed us the brown stuff, because they knew people would want to compare it to Skyrim and the like. It of course remains to be seen, but I wouldn't worry too much. It should be colorful in plenty of areas.

Agreed. I definitely want to know more about Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem as well.

Might be another DK, though I would much prefer another 1st person Metroid game. Less linear would be a plus, but whatever.

One of the worst things about it, is that the good articles with decent, non-flame headlines just languish and rot away here at N4G, waiting forever to be approved. And if/when they are approved, no one cares because there's no controversy, so they fade into the background as though they never existed. This place is pathetic sometimes...

From the Article:

'Nintendo seem to know nothing about what is to happen with the Wii U in terms of target audience.'

It's my opinion that they are going after the more 'Core' gamer first, who is willing to spend this kind of money on a console when they already have a Wii and/or PS360, etc. Then they will keep an acceptable stream of core titles as they push for the 'casual' (They've already announced Wii Fit U)

Seems as good an opportunity as any to thank Operation Rainfall for their efforts a few years back. You can really tell the difference it made this week, when 'X' was announced and clearly shown purposely to the western audience right from the start. People cared and worked hard, and Nintendo listened. Win, win!

I play Tetris attack semi-regularly on my old SNES. I'll at least have to check this out.

I called this guy's office yesterday, and left a message with his assistant that he should remember his own comments (Shark Fin soup) about how people shouldn't lump an entire culture together, and be careful when it comes to restrictive legislation. I wonder if he'll even get the message, but I hope he takes it to heart. Using gaming and gamers to try and 'talk tough' isn't something that will end up positive for any of his re-election plans.

20-25 million isn't marginal. It's weak compared to the 100million+ of the PS2, but considering that they made a profit on each GC sold, and Sony took a loss on most of their PS2's until the PS3 was about to launch, the difference is apparent.

The handheld division didn't keep them afloat. The handheld division put them in position to take over everything by taking the huge risk that the Wii was initially during the emerging age of HD.

4878d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I do that. You pretty much have to do that. But if you are playing on a high enough difficulty, sometimes the only way to pass a scenario is to take losses. Sometimes, it's just going to happen, no matter what you do.

Seriously. Few things in gaming suck more than raising up your soldier from grunt to Colonel, all of the perks you gain, all of the missions and kills you wrack up with them, only for them to be killed and be gone. Forever. Same with Fire Emblem, Valkyria Chronicles, etc. It SUCKS to have to deal with that type of in game loss, but it's such a crucial part to what makes these games so awesome.
