The funny part is that the article says this game "couldn't" outsell fifa 13. This game wasn't meant to sell anything. This whole release situation was clearly not meant to lead to any sales. Pretending otherwise shows you are not paying attention.
Cmon you are smarter than that. Pretty much every other 3rd party release points to why there are no major 3rd party devs on wii u. This sums up how Ubisoft expects to sell literal feces to gamers.
There are plenty of 3rd party games that have sales that would rightfully cause concern for releasing on wii u. This is not one of them. It was clear this game, which I already didn't enjoy on other consoles, was going to be farted out on wii u. No need even paying attention to games that Ubisoft releases in this fashion.
Funny article. Half the reasons are negated with this latest installment of smash and the other half are pretty subjective which can still arguably go to smash's favor. Moving on.
funniest part being how he comments on how other people wasted bubbles earlier, but he used all his complaining about Michael Cera. Curious as to how he defines waste.
Yeah I agree as I don't know what Nintendo currently does for 3rd party support, but if it is something they are serious about the could probably do more. Ubi has been in the news a ton lately for negative stuff as well. It seems they are getting a little big headed, but again I don't know the whole story behind the scenes. The Division is the only game not made with UbiArt that I am currently interested in from them.
As someone who bought almost every ubisoft game that came out on the wii u up til now, it is not just a discussion of having an okay port. The only games I got from them that even worked 100% were Rayman Legends, Child of Light, and ZombiiU. I'm not buying broken crap for my wii u anymore or even my PS4/X1/PC
Your selective memory is astounding.
Shocking, another uneducated opinion...
He didn't claim his statement was fact. It is assumed to be subjective.
Dang I guess I really am the only person who enjoyed that starfox adventures game...
@cgoodno
lol sorry I just have to laugh. It is funny you try to direct anyone to spend money wisely. First you say you bought a Wii U and only played one game which makes you look silly for not researching your purchase. Then you develop a logic that 2-3 games is not a good investment and that a console is worth it when you buy at least 5 games. Which is silly because for most this is a form of entertainment paid for by disposable income. For others it is actually part of wha...
Well the demand overall for those characters seems to be there since their 3DS game sales compete with any of the characters you listed for Sony and MS. It seems the trend is that games with well known recurring characters for all consoles don't move units like the games you mentioned (GTA Skylanders). It seems more of a question of desiring the platforms rather than desiring the characters. I personally think there will always be a place for all of them.
I think you missed the point of the release. No duh the wii u isn't selling well. The point now is to reach profitability. You need to be able think short and long term to see the significance of this, so just pointing out poor their sales shows that they are miles ahead of you in thought about this.
Development for 3DS version began before the Wii U even launched...
You are funny mate. No need to prove this but I actually have degrees in business, and it is clear you think you have a basic understanding, but it is not even that. While you must have misread his/her comment if you think it is in agreement. You might notice there are no agrees to back you up either. Nintendo has made plenty of mistakes, but people like you always try to use hyperbole to act like Nintendo is fully to blame for everything bad that happens ever. The difference between us (othe...
No need to repeat because the other person already showed why you were wrong which is why I assume you chose to reply to me and not them.
Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Halo: MCC, Pokemon ORAS, and Advanced Warfare for me.
Not to mention that the article said some retailers didn't even know the game was coming out, so that sounds like some pretty sloppy business on their end. But also what the other guy said.
Considering that this is just the US for 2 day and given the wii u's small install base, this is actually incredible.
