The other remakes had plenty of extra stuff that wasn't in the original game too. Especially Heart gold/Soul silver. It is honestly pretty impressive you found something complain about here. Luckily for you, you can play this story without mega evolutions all you like with the original versions.

The article just saying that with the release of Mariokart 8, Nintendo has had te most positive news run that I have seen since the console was announced. Now it is much easier for them to keep momentum with good announcements if they capitalize on that this tuesday than it would be if they didn't have a major release recently.
What a lot of people are neglecting is the fact that if this is true, this is only listing things to be ready on the showroom floor so this is mostly like every game that will be playable or on the floor of E3 and not everything to be announced in their digital event. In a time where this gamer tries to embrace peace among the gaming community and just enjoying a game, you come and try to downplay this, and then put up ignorant homophobic insults that only display your own insecurity. I have seen you troll a few of these Nintendo articles and I really hope that you get educated or something or find some kind of peace because right now you truly represent the worst the gaming community has to offer.
That's the reason why we have had games like Stadium, Snap, and Coliseum. None of those are mainline pokemon games and it is because gamefreak said themselves that the pokemon experience where you freely catch pokemon (ie not like in Coliseum) is better fit for handhelds.
It has more to do with gamefreak than Nintendo. I don't think that it will happen as long as Nintendo focus on a console and handheld separately because gamefreak has said they want the experience to stay mobile. But if it is true that Nintendo will make a hybrid console that will be both portable and playable on a tv at home, then I feel that the dream of a solid console pokemon will finally be realized.

They picked a good time then because the home console market is gonna go through a huge change. Playstation Now is just the start and all this stupid little console bs people are arguing about now isn't even going to exist in the same form in 10-20 years. Also all the new platformer IP's you list could essentially be done with the same character (Crash) with adjustments. That's how you build brand recognition for a character and there is a lot of money to be made there that Sony wishes they could get.
I think the format Nintendo used this year worked very well. I think this is what they were going for last year, but they were able to really think out their process and make it clean and spread the announcements throughout E3. The only thing I would suggest for them is to use their treehouse time for even more indies because they have a few coming on their system that can use the spotlight.
